We are also about 45 minutes from Huntsville, AL with the NASA Space and Science Center. Space #1 is closest to the road. Space #2 has a larger patio.  This retreat is the Perfect way to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, yet not too far away from essentials.  Hiking adventures nearby include University of the South Domain, Buggy Top, Walls Of Jerico and many more. 30 and 50 Amp pedestals at each site along with water and sewer hookups. We specifically set up the campsites to give as much privacy as possible. We hope you’ll come visit and soak up the bird songs, the wind in the trees, and the beautiful sunsets over the mountains. We have 20 acres of savannah grassland full of native plants and wildflowers and over 80 untouched acres full of awesome rock formations and creeks with waterfalls available for you to hike. There's a stocked fish pond for catch and release fishing and a gorgeous view overlooking the Cumberland Plateau and the Sherwood Valley. Experienced and beginner campers are welcome! We live on one side of the property, so we’re available to assist (setting up tents for the first few times is no joke!) or we’re happy to give you as much space and solitude as you need. We have three campsites available in the native savannah grassland, and one that is a "hike-in and choose your favorite spot in the woods" site. Great camping site for our first time out in our camper! Beautiful, quiet spot. Creek was real close and the water was clear and very cold! Must be spring fed. Perfect for some private skinny dipping! Tons of cool rocks in the creek bed too if you're into that. Just bring your big spray! It rained quite a bit unfortunately, but that didn't damper our time that much. And Lindsey even reached out to make sure we were good with the flood watch. Really appreciated her checking up on us. The sites are pretty close together, so we were greatful no one else booked so we could enjoy our private time. Would definitely come back to this spot!

Rodger’s property was just lovely! It was exactly as described. He was a very responsive and personable host, who clearly wants people to feel comfortable and happy at the site. It’s a small and quaint campsite, if you are looking for something not as big as an RV park or giant state park. The campsites are quite big and spread apart, so you don’t feel like you’re on top of each other. I definitely recommend staying here if you’re in the area.

The setting is very well done. Very large hill-side sites, all gravel and leveled. My dog enjoyed his walks. 2 detractions, but I'm my opinion not deal breakers. Close to highway and the trains that run in the Valley. We arrived around 2:30 pm and heard 4 trains 🚃 🚃 until about 5:30pm - 6 pm. HWY traffic noise was as expected. But by 7 pm, highway noise had subsided and no more trains. Closing the windows also cut traffic noise. Slept great. It's a lovely well groomed site and definitely worth a visit.

Weekend Trip to Red Coach Resort & RV Park

a–12 Clean and quiet campground. Nice amenities. We would love to come back in the warmer months to use the swimming hole. Kids loved the playground. I never could get the Wi-Fi to have a good signal, but that is the only issue we had during our stay. Anytime I reached out to staff they answered the phone and were accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and will be back.

The owners are amazing. The campground is amazing. I had a very relaxing time. I would recommend this place to anybody, especially fisherman as it is right on the lake.
