Both options sit alongside Sofkahatchee creek. We have 15 acres of untouched forest to wonder through and help you reconnect with mother nature. It’s my favorite spot for meditation and grounding. The sky is amazingly dark around here and stargazing would be at the top of my list of things I love about the property. This area is full of wildlife. Raccoons, deer, turkey, possums, armadillo, snakes, and even bears. I haven’t personally ran in to any bears but they have been sited. So, who knows what you will befriend while in the wild. The camping areas are very private. It’s part of a 50 acre lot that has recently been cleared and in the process of reseeding and preparing for a pond and farm life. So, sorry if you run in to anything that isn’t picturesque but your camp site will be beautiful and peaceful. AMENITIES: We want your stay to be as comfortable as possible! For an additional cost, we offer amenities such as tents, towels, bug deterrent, firewood, fire starters, hand warmers, s’mores kits, camping toilet, gold panning kit, games and more. Our little town of Wetumpka is only 9 miles down the road. It was featured on HGTV's Hometown Takeover in 2021, was featured in the movie Big Fish and is a picture perfect town, with many locally owned shops and restaurants. It's located right on the Coosa River, where you can kayak/canoe (coosariveradventures.com), launch your boat or fish year round at Gold State Park which also has a fantastic play area for kids with a nice walking trail that goes along the river. Stop in at Coosa River Craft House or Coosa Cleaver for refreshing adult beverages and live music. Look for the Big Fish house. It's the big white house on the hill. We are 9 miles from Lake Jordan and 11 miles from Lake Martin. Fort Toulouse National Historic Park is 25 minutes away. There you can tour over 6,000 years of history. The driveway clearing large enough for a car plus camper or RV. I don't have dimensions, but use the pictures of my Jeep for reference. For now, you must decide if your rig will fit. The driveway ground is hard, but there isn't any gravel on the drive yet, so be mindful of parking during rain or soggy conditions. There is a fire ring and a few chairs to enjoy socializing or plenty of trees to hang a hammock and relax. Weekend Trip to Camp in Camp Hill!

My wife and I were returning from a long trip to west Texas and stopped for a good rest at Emily's land- absolutely beautiful, peaceful spot with lots of solitude. Basically simply a large field with trees and a pond- perfect for us. Emily was delightful providing prompt and easy directions. Would love to come back again and spend some more time rather than just pass through!

There is a water spickot in the ground and additional spickots at each corner of the shop.

Weekend Trip to Dry Creek Retreat

We found the host very friendly. Ross met us and directed us to site 1 . We were able to hook up to 30amp/50 amp service. Water and sewer hook up Such a beautiful site, especially as the sun was setting over a small pond. Horses in the background made a perfect picture. Very quite and easily accessible. I would definitely recommend!

1 night at Willow Creek Camping

This was a perfect place for a quick overnight camp after kayaking on the Coosa river at Wetumpka, AL (about 12 minute drive). Campsite overlooking the creek was nice and included a fire pit. The county road was about a quarter mile away so you could hear a car passing every so often but you couldn't see them. Very private. I would stay there again.

Absolutely amazing site especially considering they just had severe weather and not even a 2 miles up the rd a tornado came through. Rocky provided a fool-proof fire set up, maintained and level site, saw we were a little confused from our headlights and came out and guided us in. He could charge double and we’d still come back!

Nice, quiet spot in a rural setting. Rocky was a great host. He had a fire ring and wood all set up for us. And he let us fill our water tank before leaving. The campsite was flat and easily accessible in our Transit campervan.

This is a convenient location in Montgomery. The property is beautiful and has a nice flat lawn for van parking. It’s on a busy road so there is some road noise in the early evening but not an issue at night.

Weekend Trip to Star Point Reserve

Very secluded sites with no close neighbors, so it is just you and nature. Absolutely incredible and Maximo, the camp host, was great! Extremely accommodating and communicative. I loved everything about camping here and am already making plans for a return trip.

Weekend Trip to Smoky Bottom Farms

I had some last minute free time to go camping and Rocky’s site was a perfect fit. It was fairly close to home and a fantastic value. Rocky was super nice. He had the fire pit, wood, and a trash bag all set to go. I had a very enjoyable stay. I felt very safe. There was minimal animal or road noise at night. I will definitely be back.

Lynda is a sweetheart! She was super hospitable, answered all of our questions, and has lovely energy. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and dog-friendly. The full hook-up was much appreciated, too. If we’re ever back in the area, we’d be happy to stay here again!
