It is 20.54 acres peacefully located between big land owners on each side, and a creek that runs through the middle that separates north from south pieces. Our trails are groomed and some just deer worn. We have one camp site that is rural and rustic. There is a bucket for the restroom and antique, old white kitchen sink for hand washing just outside it. There is no running water yet, but working on getting a water reservoir out there asap. No electricity yet a single power cord could be run for extra $10.00 for your visit. There is a fire pit close to the tent spot on, “Skip’s Campsite”. Another camp site” Aqua-Fine-A” that has a walk in creek access, and you have to cross the creek to get to that one. It is farther away from “Skip’s bathroom access. It has a more established flag stone fire pit. It is our original primitive sight. There is no water reservoir or possibility of electricity at “Aqua-Fine-A” campsite. Everything must be packed in and out on foot. Both sights require a hike to campsites on foot with uneven rooted trails. {You are welcome to use our well loved red wheelbarrow to haul items in}. There is access to a bigger fire pit “M & M fire pit”, and a propane grill option (this is first come first serve/sharing spot). More campsites developing over time and there is a massage practitioner on site if you are looking for the whole experience (29 years experience in healing modalities and shamanic blood line). If you are looking to experience nature cabin style then, “The Minor Escape” is for you. This has a full refrigerator, full stand up filtered water shower, kitchen sink, separate master, two bedroom lofts with ladder access, kitchen sink, ceiling fans, window a/c units for summer and space heaters for winter (Eden pure heater that shows fireplace flames). Our family loves this land and there is always new areas being cultivated in various spots. You will see us out there either with our hobby farm of animals, gardening or building a new area. I am a teacher, guide, artist, and healer. This land is sacred and magical. It is used to heal, restore, inspire and rejuvenate many locally and internationally.

It is located eight miles north of the small town of Heflin, Alabama, which is about an hour and a half from the metro areas of Birmingham, Alabama, and Atlanta, Georgia. Off a small county road, a private half-mile gravel road leads to the property’s end. The cabin is surrounded by hundreds of square miles of forest. I have stayed in FF3 several times, and always it is my favorite place to camp! Its proximity to the stream and the privacy the site offers is ideal! I love the deck and the fire pit! Dustin thoughtfully provides a small battery powered fan, two towels, and a fun tour of the gardens and greenhouse. 10/10 time all the way around!

Weekend Trip to Parksland Retreat

My husband and I are busy and exhausted and on top of that, we have been through some major life changes. This has led to a rough patch in our relationship. The only choice we had the weekend we went was to cancel all plans and just exist in nature. We didn’t have time or patience to work for it either. I didn’t want to set up a tent and I didn’t want to be in a house or a hotel. The sunrise cabin at Parksland was exactly what I personally needed. We got to be completely free with our bodies and minds. Which led to freedom of conversation between us. The windows and glass doors allow you to zone out and watch the birds fly and the trees sway. It is particularly charming in the rain. I am so grateful that I live so close to heaven. The sauna and swimming hole are added benefits. Cherries on top. If you need SERENITY this is your place but don’t mistake that word for boring. I had the most mind opening experience here! Want to add, I have tent camped here as well and no matter how you do it, just do it.

Weekend Trip to Iremide Family Farm

This campsite was exactly what we were looking for. Tent camping with upgraded amenities that made it easier with two kids under three. Tent was clean, there were games and outdoor toys available for the kids, the grass was well maintained and we spent our entire weekend barefoot. Air conditioning was available if needed, but we didn’t use it. We were 7 minutes drive from the Georgia renaissance festival. Our entire weekend was magical and our boys’s first time camping and first renn fest was absolutely spectacular.

Great property. Great RV. Deer in the morning, kids chased grasshoppers for hours. We lucked out with rain, but when it did, plenty of games to keep us occupied. Outside has the corn hole and axe throw (plastic), pretty much all the bells and whistles for RV living. Interior was well put together and proximity to Calaway gardens, pine mtn, and FDR was hard to beat.

Beautiful property!! Glamping tents were cozy and the ac ran very very good! Bathrooms were really nice and clean. We had an amazing trip and will definitely be back. Was so happy to be able to use the canoe for free and even caught 6 bass in just an hour or so! Best campsite ever.

Outstanding! Dustin has built such a lovely place here at Parksland. The cabin was exactly as advertised, if not better. We had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We hiked the trails, enjoyed the Friday night meal, toasted in the sauna on Saturday night, and stayed up chatting with several other folks in the lounge area by a roasting fire while it drizzled on the metal roof. Most visitors during our stay participated in the clothing optional invitation (in case you were curious). We met some people who had visited before, but the majority who were there during our time were newcomers like us. If you have the opportunity to visit - go! You won’t regret it. It’s serene and warm and inviting in every wonderful way possible.

What an awesome place with a great mix of things to do and relaxation. We hiked all over the property, fished in the pond, had a picnic by the lake, and really enjoyed relaxing in the evening on our private balcony with a fire stove. The bathrooms were clean and within a short walk. I highly recommend staying here.

This was my third time staying there. And the reason I went back is because I wanted to stay again. I traveled to Knoxville and it’s a great place to stop in my in-between travels. The house are incredible not to mention the 200+ acres of land have trails and a pond. Plenty to see and walk around. I can’t wait to spend another night there again. I stayed in an A-frame, which has electricity, AC and heat. I mostly sit on the porch and light a fire and listen to the quiet. The bathrooms are nearby and are clean with showers and a sink to do your dishes. Whatever you think you are missing, they have I’m a huge fan and will be back again and again.

FF3 is situated a comfortable distance into the forest, and has you overlooking the creek. Which means you are lulled to sleep by the sound of the water, and woken by the sounds of the birds! We couldn't have asked for a more peaceful, and serene escape for our weekend! Dusty has created a beautiful oasis in the forest, and we are lucky that he shares his amazing space! Cell service is extremely limited, giving you the opportunity to truly unplug from the world! I can't wait to go back!

We loved the area and the vision being developed. The tent was very comfortable and it weathered the severe thounderstorm that passed through over night. Lots of land to roam and explore and a pond for fishing (bass). Loved the hammocks and hiking trails. This would be a great place for a family reunion or other large gathering wanting to have space and be out in nature. Hosts were great! We had a lovely chat and tour to see what's ahead in their plans. Highly recommend following to see what comes next!

The cabins are extremely clean, have comfortable beds and even have Keurig coffee makers to help with your early morning rides. Bathrooms are also very clean and a 20 second walk from camp. The owner is very knowledgeable on the trail system, and was happy to share his favorite trails.
