We have a hiking path that takes you up to an overlook with a swing- this is the best way to enjoy your morning coffee and watch the sunrise. 15-20 minutes from Indian Mountain ATV Park (we have room for you to park your trailer) Less than a 2 hour drive to Birmingham, Chattanooga and Atlanta.
Visit Gadsden (~35minutes) to explore Noccalula Falls Park- especially beautiful with Christmas lights and go to Fort Payne (~an hour) to explore Little River Canyon & Desoto Falls.
We have a raised beds vegetable garden that our guests are welcome to pick the vegetables during their stay. Bohamia has an upscale bathhouse with private, hot showers and individual toilet rooms with floor-to-ceiling doors. The bathhouse is within 100 yards of all glamps and RV sites. We also have portalets stationed in the RV/Safari Tent area, at The Barn, and at the pond (0.4 miles from welcome center.)
Premium RV spots now available with 30 or 50 amp hookups and water. We do not have sewer hookups or a waste station.

We have a hiking path that takes you up to an overlook with a swing- this is the best way to enjoy your morning coffee and watch the sunrise. 15-20 minutes from Indian Mountain ATV Park (we have room for you to park your trailer) Less than a 2 hour drive to Birmingham, Chattanooga and Atlanta.
Visit Gadsden (~35minutes) to explore Noccalula Falls Park- especially beautiful with Christmas lights and go to Fort Payne (~an hour) to explore Little River Canyon & Desoto Falls.

We really enjoyed our stay. This place was so quiet we wondered if we had lost our hearing at times! Everything was nicely maintained and convenient. Tent campers may wish to bring a water filter as the water tastes a little funky. Such a lovely piece of property- hiked the trail several times. This was our first visit but not our last!

Great place to camp. We will be back. This property is dedicated exclusively to camping both tent and RV. You are not staying at someone's house like other HipCamps. The owners were very nice and were on grounds conducting improvements. When messaged directly through the App, I received prompt responses. This property is close to the Talladega National Forest and loads of jeeping trails we enjoyed. Relaxing in the peaceful beauty in camp was nice also.

I stumbled across Hidden Branch during a Hoogke search and I am so glad that I did! I had never heard of or used Hicamp before, but it made reserving a site super simple. This place is truly a hidden gem. The property is so peaceful and clean and offers you an opportunity to relax and disconnect from the hustle and bustle of life. The site itself was great. Plenty of space and a great view of the pond down below. The hiking trail offered great views and lots of wildlife. The campground offers a shower and bathroom as well as a community camp kitchen with everything you need to create a delicious meal. Wi-fi is also available if needed. I only stayed one night, but definitely look forward to coming back in the future! Thanks Caleb for taking care of the property and allowing folks to use it to truly relax and unwind!

Zed and Strider were amazing hosts! Our campsite was beautiful and the hiking trails on property were fun to explore. Zed and Strider asked us many times if there was anything they could do to make our stay better. They were very accommodating and attentive. We would definitely recommend dark hollow and if we are ever passing through Alabama again, this will be where we camp!

We loved being so far away from town! The peace and quiet was what we needed for the holidays! Caleb is super easy to chat with and he replies almost instantly. Definitely backwoods and not for everyone but perfect for us! Pit toilet amd away from cell phone service. He does have wifi which is nice too! The pond was great to fish. We enjoyed many campfires under the stars. Thanks for the great stay! I would highly recommend if you need to get away from the world and get in touch with nature!

Dustin's land is absolutely beautiful. We camped at FF3 hollow (yurt), it was well secluded and has a waterfront. This was an amazing experience! Only downfall I would warn future guests is, there is a hike down to the camp sites. As someone not in shape, it took my breath away each time we had to hike back up to the parking area. We will most definitely return but we will not be camping at the bottom of the hill next time.

Dark Hallow is, by far, the best Hip Camp experience my wife and I have had. The camp host was excellent in every way. There’s a reason this place is ranked very highly. Extremely friendly, accommodating, and personable. The camp sites were pristine, had all the views, stars, hikes, and amenities you would desire for primitive camping. Our dogs enjoyed the stay and especially enjoyed the quick hike down to the beautiful waterfalls and pools in the hallow. My wife and I will be returning in the near future to visit Danny and Zed.
