Convenient stop for the night or a few days for RV’s or Tent campers and a good place to get a hot shower - only a easy mile a half from I-20 exit 173 ( Eastaboga - Talladega Superspeedway Exit ) also a good base camp to see Cheaha State Park - bike at Coldwater Mountain- see the Talladega Superspeedway , Combat Park Flea Market , Oxford ballgames or other area Activities - I reserve one RV site and two tent sites for hipcamp and rent the other five RV sites at the top of hill on a monthly basis - these hipcamp sites are wooded, shady with woods between the other sites to give some privacy while still not far from the unique showers made from the old chicken house feed bins -these showers are very functional and I have been complimented that they are the best showers on the east coast

Come pitch a tent or hang your hammock between the beautiful hardwoods.
We currently have primitive tent camping that can easily fit 4-5 tents or hammock camping.
Both options sit alongside Sofkahatchee creek. We have 15 acres of untouched forest to wonder through and help you reconnect with mother nature. It’s my favorite spot for meditation and grounding.
The sky is amazingly dark around here and stargazing would be at the top of my list of things I love about the property.
This area is full of wildlife. Raccoons, deer, turkey, possums, armadillo, snakes, and even bears. I haven’t personally ran in to any bears but they have been sited.
So, who knows what you will befriend while in the wild.
The camping areas are very private. It’s part of a 50 acre lot that has recently been cleared and in the process of reseeding and preparing for a pond and farm life. So, sorry if you run in to anything that isn’t picturesque but your camp site will be beautiful and peaceful.

There are so many little towns near by. Our little town of Wetumpka is only 9 miles down the road. It was featured on HGTV's Hometown Takeover in 2021, was featured in the movie Big Fish and is a picture perfect town, with many locally owned shops and restaurants. It's located right on the Coosa River, where you can kayak/canoe (coosariveradventures.com), launch your boat or fish year round at Gold State Park which also has a fantastic play area for kids with a nice walking trail that goes along the river. Stop in at Coosa River Craft House or Coosa Cleaver for refreshing adult beverages and live music. Look for the Big Fish house. It's the big white house on the hill.
We are 9 miles from Lake Jordan and 11 miles from Lake Martin.
Fort Toulouse National Historic Park is 25 minutes away. There you can tour over 6,000 years of history. You can tour the French and American Forts or the Mississippian Indian Mound site, or just relax and take a walk along the trails.

Just 15 minutes east of us is Swayback Bridge https://www.riverregionmtb.org/swayback-bridge-trail. There are five loop trials available, ranging from 1 miles to 11.2 miles. You can hike or bike them. The bridge is 290 feet long and goes over Lake Jordan.
Wind Creek Casino Wetumpka is 10 miles and Montgomery location is only 16 miles from our property, if you want to chance your luck with some gaming.
We are 20 miles from Montgomery, which is jam packed with civil rights historical sites, museums, a zoo, fabulous restaurants, a riverboat cruise on the Alabama River, a sip and cycle pedal boat cruise

I stayed on Tent site 2. It was next to the outdoor kitchen. The entire campground is super Clea and very well laid out. It was marked and easily accessible. I would highly recommend Hidden Branch and plan to stay again soon.

There’s a cute pond with tadpoles that our kiddos love & it’s so quiet and peaceful. I like being able to pick which spot we stay at. I had an incredibly peaceful time at Dustin's place. I stayed alone, and he was so kind and welcoming. The property is beautiful, there is a creek that runs throughout, a swimming hole, and a lovely loop to hike. He is very knowledgeable and I learned a lot about his gardening/beekeeping practices. The host Caleb and his Dad, Eddy were exceptional. They were caring and kind, helping us setup the electric and water at our site with full hookup. The locked gated entry gave us a good sense of security, coming and going as we pleased. The tall hardwood and pine trees gave a wonderful canopy over the very organized, clean camp grounds. The pond was easily accessible, with clear water and some fish. Myself and my dog enjoyed the hiking trails. , including the tranquility of the area. The camp road and sites have gravel for easy navigation and setup. Note: right now, not all sites have full hookup.

Everything was great! The land is beautiful and very well kept. The bath house and porta-toilets were clean. The roads were cut well. I made it to the pond in a Buick Regal so anything bigger than that should be ok as far as clearance. My kids and I camped over Easter weekend and it was extremely peaceful. We made use of the canoe and caught plenty of fish. We even ordered firewood from the middle of the lake and watched as they brought it to the site. It was a great experience and we will definitely visit again.
