Little River is considered to be the purest, natural flowing river in the state. Bring your fishing gear and kayaks. Sit on the rocks at the base of the waterfall under the rhododendrons and holly trees, and wade in the water in the warm months. Park on the side of the road in front of the Cynefin sign. There are solar lights illuminating the path to the tent if you arrive after dark. There you will find a that you can use to bring your luggage down. Other things to note • The river will rise and fall depending on how much rain we are getting. It tends to be lower late summer to early fall. We cannot guarantee water levels. • This is primitive off grid camping. There's no electricity or running water. We recommend bringing a portable battery pack to charge devices. • Please be respectful of any wildlife (there are white tail deer, raccoons, weasels, harmless black snakes, mink, foxes, coyotes, many birds, and the extremely, and we do mean extremely, rare black bear), while fishing in the little river is allowed, hunting is prohibited.

Do not flush hygiene products, wipes, nor excessive tissue, EVEN ONES MARKED AS FLUSHABLE, as this will cause a blockage and render all plumbing unusable. - The cabin has a Take One, Leave One library; feel free to bring a book you’re finished reading and trade out for one of ours. - Because this is a rural area, we recommend turning off any lights that are not directly in use, as bugs are very prevalent and attracted to light, especially at night. - We do have a ChargePoint Level 2 EV charger, which is free to use. *This is a J1772 plug, Teslas will require an adapter.* - The inflatable hot tub can reach temperatures up to 104°F. *It must be at least 40°F outside in order for the hot tub to effectively heat.* Due to the nature of inflatable hot tubs, it will lose about 5°F per hour that the lid is off; weather conditions and use of the jets may expedite this cooling. Unlike a traditional hot tub, there are no seats inside. - There are mini-splits for AC/heat. Use the “dry” setting to cool off the space, which also reduces humidity. If it gets too cold, you can switch the units to the “cool” setting or turn off. If you get an error on the mini-splits, ensure they are all on the same setting, as the system cannot heat and cool simultaneously.

Mountain Cabin on the Chief Ladiga Bike Path, Terrapin Creek, and Pinhoti Trail Our cabin is tucked away on a private road bordering the Chief Ladiga Bike Path and Big & Little Terrapin Creek. It sits adjacent to the Talladega National Forest and is within walking distance of the Pinhoti Hiking Trail. We also have private hiking trails throughout the property. The twin beds are located in the loft of the cabin, and there is a couch in the living room. This is the perfect quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cabin is about 15 minutes from downtown Piedmont, which has multiple coffee shops, restaurants, fast food, grocery stores, and antique shops. We provide a refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, oven with stovetop, dishwasher, and kitchenware to make your stay comfortable. You will be blown away by the mountain and creek views. A hiking path leads up to an overlook with a swing — the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee and watch the sunrise. We are 15–20 minutes from Indian Mountain ATV Park (with space to park your trailer) and less than a two-hour drive to Birmingham, Chattanooga, and Atlanta. Visit Gadsden (~35 minutes) to explore Noccalula Falls Park, especially beautiful with Christmas lights, or Fort Payne (~an hour) to explore Little River Canyon and Desoto Falls. We also have a raised-bed vegetable garden that guests are welcome to harvest during their stay. Our property offers especially stunning views in the fall when the leaves are changing. The property spans both sides of the bike path at mile marker 9 on the Chief Ladiga.

2 nights at Unhitched Cullman Campground

This was our first time glamping, and we really enjoyed our stay! The campground was peaceful and beautiful, and our tent looked out into the trees with a view of the creek below. There was also a trail to explore and a beautiful pond with lots of ducks. It really felt like a special place. They truly thought of so many details. Our tent had lights, charging stations, nightstands, , a fridge, plenty of sleeping space, towels, bottled water, a Keurig and just about everything we could need. We ordered firewood and s’mores, but there was also a propane fire option available. Even the path to our tent was lit at night, which made everything feel magical. The bathrooms and showers were clean and centrally located. The tents are fairly close together, but ours still felt peaceful and had a wonderful view from the deck. We happened to stay during extremely hot weather, close to 100°F, so keeping the tent cool was a challenge. Overall, though, we had a wonderful first glamping experience and really appreciated how much thought went into making the tents comfortable and welcoming!

Wonderful stay! It was nice and cool inside the tent considering how hot it was outside. The bed was super comfy, I’d love to come back during winter!! The hike was so pleasant in the morning.

The cabins are extremely clean, have comfortable beds and even have Keurig coffee makers to help with your early morning rides. Bathrooms are also very clean and a 20 second walk from camp. The owner is very knowledgeable on the trail system, and was happy to share his favorite trails.
