You may see them being worked during the day and cooled off or just eating hay being horses. All campsites are NOT powered. We do have toilets available.We are RV or camper friendly but you definitely need a 4WD, If you have dogs they MUST be horse friendly otherwise they must remain on lead or in our dog fenced off area.Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place. Our farm displays an abundance of natural beauty, with crystal clear springs and a diversity of mature and rare forest timbers. There are numerous well known walks to do nearby, Meander Falls, Mother Cummings Peak and Smoko Falls to name a few. Huntsman Lake is a great favourite of fly fishermen and kayakers alike, there is also a very pleasant picnic grounds there, swimming hole and boat ramp. The village of Meander is 4 kms away offering a wonderful cafe , where the staff are friendly and the hamburgers , coffee and cakes are fantastic. Horse and cart rides are also on offer with us down to the lake. Bookings can be made by contacting us by phone. We also offer a few hours with the horses doing farm chores at an extra cost . As we have no facilities on our farm yet, so we ask that all campers must be fully self contained.

There is a lovely walking track around the dams periphery. Feed fish from the edge, spot platypus frolicking about, and keep your eye out for Peacocks wandering the property too. Whilst you are welcome to bring your dog with you, please ensure they don't harass the wildlife. A keen fisher? Throw a line in at our other dam and catch your dinner! Nothing beats fresh fish, that you caught yourself, cooked on a campfire.

Access for all types of vehicles is good, with plenty of space to turn around. This is a farm animal sanctuary so guests are asked to respect animals by not cooking them here. We appreciate your respect in this regard. Japa Hill makes for a safe base to explore the region, with Boat Harbour just 30 minutes drive away and Cradle Mountain two hours away. The Spirit of Tasmania ferry terminal is just 74 minutes drive away.
