Roche a Cri State Park protects a mammoth, 300-foot rock outcropping that towers over the surrounding forest in central Wisconsin. A myriad of petroglyphs dating back to 900 A.D. and pictographs that are hundreds of years old are located on the sides of the rock. A short trail will take you around the rock and to the very top, so be sure to pack your camera. The Roche a Cri Campground is shady and just about picture-perfect. We are in the heart of Amish settlement and are close to many Amish stores, bakery and produce stands . We are 6 miles from Ontario, canoeing capital of Wisc , on the Kickapoo River , Wildcat Mountain state park can be seen from our ridge top . Kickapoo Valley Reserve is minute away for hiking adventures . We have 2 attached bedroom and rooms to our barn , the first bedroom has a queen bed, the second bedroom has a full bed, the living area has a twin sleeper sofa. Also included is a coffee maker, microwave, electric fireplace, fan , and freezer . We have a porta potty with lights right next to the barn . There is hot and cold water and a wash tub in the barn . You can share your morning coffee with our calves and turkey chicks , We have several miles of groomed paths on our land for hiking . Deer, turkeys, song birds , foxes all can be seen on the property . There is a gas grill , camp fire ring , and large overhang with picnic tables . We also have hook up for electric and water for campers. , this is an easy pull through camper hook up on each end of the barn . Sparta and Viroqua are a half hour drive for dining, movies, music festivals and farmers markets, We are beautiful 45 min drive from Lacrosse .

Old Red Mill Oasis

This unique riverside retreat is located on the shores of the Plover River, on a dam remnant behind a former working mill. Campers will enjoy a park-like atmosphere with numerous benches, stone fire pits, and hidden trails among riverside, grassy, and forested areas. It's an ideal location to fish, kayak, or enjoy a 20-minute float from the dam to the Sharonwood bridge. The campground host offers guided kayak tours and/or shuttle services along the Big Plover River for an additional fee. The Old Red Mill Oasis is located on County Highway Y, 1.5 miles north of Jordan County Park and Jordan Pond, within 5 miles of the city of Stevens Point, Wisconsin, which offers numerous recreational opportunities. Site 1 – River Edge Site The River Edge site is a cleared area along the Plover River which includes a cracked granite fire pit, concrete bench, and nearby picnic table. It is an ideal site for tent camping. Site 2 – Woodland Fern Site The Woodland Fern site is a large shady site among mature trees ideal for tent or hammock camping. The site includes two cleared areas and a portable fire pit. There are lovely benches along the river and hammock chairs nearby. Site 3 – Boardwalk Trail Site The wooded Boardwalk Trail opens to secluded grassy site ideal for tent or hammock camping. A stone fire pit is included.

Property is 25 minutes from Richland Center. 30 minutes from Wisconsin Dells. Public land with miles of trout stream 3 miles away from the propertyy. The 400 State Trail is 7 miles away from property for bicyclists. Public road ATV and UTV trails surround WHY. Both Lake Redstone and Dutch Hollow Lake are 10 miles away.
