Mills Norie is a combination of two different names, actually two different parks—“Margaret Lewis Norrie State Park” and “Ogden Mills and Ruth Livingston Mills Memorial State Park.” Together, they comprise over 1,000 acres filled with excellent opportunities for jogging, hiking, cycling, cross country skiing snow shoeing and…well, if we actually mentioned them all then you would be bored. It all started when grandfather Charles B Wright first establish this farm in 1904. He purchased it for its natural springs. In our barn (now home to Gardiner Brewing Company) he had gravity fed water troughs for his cattle. Since then we have slowly switched from animals to tree fruit. You will enjoy rolling hills of fruit trees and fruit gardens along with beautiful views of the Shawangunk Mountain Ridge. We have 450+ acres so it in very private. As we are a working farm, you can see us driving pass with our tractors or maintaining the orchard around your campsite on occasion. You are welcome to ride your bikes, hike or jog where you will pass ponds and a working farm landscape. Please don’t pick our fruit. If you would like to enjoy the fruits of our labor please visit our farm store open year round on the premises where we sell cheeses, our fresh picked fruit and veggies, local meats, and our famous cider donuts along with other farm products. We also have a farm brewery open 3-7 in our old dairy barn for you to enjoy. Live music Saturdays and Sundays. Minnewaska State Park and Mohonk Reserve are only 10 minutes away. The rail trail is three minutes away. This trail gives you walking and biking access into New Paltz, where there is tons of restaurants and lots of shopping. Please be aware that during the months of September and October there may be a Pick-Your-Own customer or two walking around picking apples around the campsite area between the hours of 10:00-6:00. You are also welcome to come down to the farm market and purchase bags to pick your own apples in season.

The property is a 5 minute drive to the hamlet of Mountaindalewhich has a lovely Rail Trail for hikes and bikes, and some excellent dining options including @ highvoltagecatskills, in addition to creek bar a magical cafe & bar with outdoor seating and fire pits that serves delicious modern Polish American comfort food, great cocktails, and has live music and events on weekends. There is also an artisan pizza spot with indoor/outdoor seating, hipster vibes and fun cocktails and live music @ thedaleNY For shopping you can also stop by @ forageandgather - they have foods, meats, gourmet deli and coffee and carry all the little things you may have forgotten to bring along in addition to a locally and craft focused wine and spirits shop. Also stop by @badgrandmashop for the most vibrant and stylish clothes for all sizes and styles. Not to be missed. There is also a lovely yoga studio and bollywood dance spot in addition to some other delightful gems in town. There is superb hiking nearby at Neversink Unique Area in Rock Hill. The Source is located at 4228 Route NY-212 (hamlet of Lake Hill) in the town of Woodstock, NY. The property was part of a much larger farm in the 19th century, then reincarnated as a Beaux Arts style artist’s retreat called ‘Garden of the Gods’ founded in 1908. During this time many artists came to Woodstock, including Hervey White, creator of the early maverick Colony, who is credited with shaping the vision of Woodstock as a ‘Colony of the Arts.’ In 2019 The Source opened as an experimental space for sustainable community. We have regular events, including our yearly art show for Upstate Art Weekend. Six acres of land backing up to hundreds of acres of DEC wild land and Wilson State Park in the hamlet of Lake Hill. Hudson Valley is a wonderful 4 season go to location and being about an hour away from New York City you won’t spend hours in the car before being able to stretch your legs.

Learn more about this land: A grassy meadow nestled between a forested ridge the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail, an open access walking and bike path. The Rosendale Rail Trail Cafe is just across the meadow from you and Rosendale trestle bridge is a short bike or walk away. We do have hot water showers and heated bathrooms in the Owlwood. Use our hand drawn map to find your way around the farm. Please drive extremely slowly while on the farm road, there and kids and critters everywhere and your car will thank you! Also, we encourage everyone to drive as little as possible while on the farm, why drive when you can walk and enjoy the land. If you want to sleep in a car or rv make sure to contact us so we can let you know where to car camp. No cars are allowed in Red Fox Meadow. Also, if the meadow seems too wet to camp give us a shout, there are other areas to camp that are dryer in the wet moments, just not as private. We look forward to meeting you!

We are a homestead and small campground devoted to the principles of organic farming and self-reliance. Modern agriculture and big business are unsustainable, destroying farmland at an accelerating pace. It is important for us to teach the next generation, there is an alternative. We produce much of our own food. We have friendly goats, chickens, ducks, peacocks, donkeys and horses the guests can pet and feed. There are no swimming holes on our property, but many waterfalls and swimming spots within a short drive (see list below). A quick 5 minute drive will get you to one of the best disc golf courses in the north east. For the truly adventurous, Clarksville Cave is a short drive away. Visit their website for list of proper gear and rules. We do rent some of the equipment needed. Little Birds Farm

This campsite is nestled in the deep woods of a 120 acre farm that offers beautiful views coming and going. After being allowed to use the restroom at the stone farmhouse, you will then go rustic and start your 3/4 - 1 mile hike in (approximately 20 minutes to the campsite) past the fields and pond down the path into the woods. The trail is remote and you will instantly be able to leave the sights and sounds of civilization behind you and breath the clean forest air. Wear good hiking shoes because portions of the hike are uneven and rocky. This site is best for experienced campers who know how to pack light with just the essentials as there is no tractor service to this campsite. When you arrive at the campsite, you will be within 20 feet of a year round stream with brook trout and in a hundred foot tall hemlock canopy nestled between two brook meadows. A 9,000 acre forested preserve abuts our property so you will be able to completely relax, bird watch, enjoy the wildlife, or fish for a brook trout breakfast without hearing the sounds of anyone but yourselves. The campsite has a stone fire pit, split log benches for seating, a canvas privacy blind around a stand of trees where the composting toilet resides, and a food bag lift to attach your food and trash bags to about 100 yards from the campsite. Unlimited Split firewood is free next to where you will park that you can take down to the site. All trash needs to be carted out with you. We can't accept mixed trash as it will attract animals that will knock over the trashcans and make a mess. No food goes in our personal trashcans as we have learned this the hard way. We love having chill rock climbers, hikers and families on our farm/wedding venue. It's not a campground! It's just a super cool place to have some privacy and a camp fire and be really close to the best hiking and climbing, and swimming holes and farmers markets and road biking around.Horse farm / Wedding venue super close to Gunx, Minnewaska State Park, Mohonk Preserve, Lipman Park (Mt biking) Great for rock climbers, families, hikers, horse folks.Sites are private with fire pits. It is $25/ person per night!Strict cancellation policy so if not sure, just book for 1 person to guaranty a space and settle up upon arrival when you know your actual plans and numbers ?So, we do weddings on some summer /fall weekends. You camp in a totally different part of the property and are no where near the wedding activity at all. Occasionally, the music is audible. We do our best to let the wedding folks have their fun without irritating neighbors and campers, but feel free to check in with us before booking.

Small campground with tent sites fairly close to each other, or cabins. Try to get a platform tent site, which provide a little more room than the other sites. Plenty of hiking trails to explore or hike to the marina and take a kayak tour on the Hudson with the local outfitter. Amenities include showers, flush toilets, and running water.
