The LAAAAND (just you & 50 acres)

I don’t really want to leave a review because I don’t want it to book up too quickly! But I’m not greedy, so…we loved it. Here are all the things we noticed to help others better understand what they will get. First - they don’t lie when they say it’s remote! It’s quite a little drive back on their property past fields and thru woods. We had a Highlander and a pop-up and we did fine, but if there was much rain we might not have - so be ready for an unpaved ride and some hills and turns. But that’s what private means, too. The site was wonderful- beautiful, quiet, well kept. The deck was awesome and they had some chairs, a table, a firepit and even some fire wood. There was also an area covered by a tarp - which would be nice if it was raining. But we had perfect weather. We started one hike to the waterfall and we saw where the stream would be (we believe) and it was dry - likely just our timing. It was still worth it to get back there and explore because it was gorgeous. Where we hiked it wasn’t far but it was steep. They have beautiful property. I grew up camping at the gorge and it is amazing. I also don’t want it to become overly developed which is why I like supporting these owners. Thank you! We hope to return.

This space is so so lovely! The sunsets were perfect every night. Cool trails right on the property, close to many attractions too. The space was secluded, quiet, and large/versatile for setting up camp. Our doggos had plenty to safely explore on leash and at camp on long leads. Also the tarp awing was a life saver during our torrential downpour upon our arrival. Nice touch. Thank you very much, we hope to come back!

I spent my birthday here on a solo camping trip, and it was everything I was hoping for! Booking was easy, the hosts were quick to communicate, and they sent a helpful video showing how to find the gate and road back to the campsite. The path was easy to follow and I had no trouble in my 2WD SUV. I felt safe and comfortable the entire time. It was secluded and peaceful without feeling unsettling. The campsite had a beautiful view from the deck platform, with firewood stocked and ready, a fire ring, and chairs. The starts of the trails were marked with general directions, but beyond the trailheads they were mostly unmarked, so I had fun wandering through the woods and venturing off trail a bit. The overlook was my favorite spot. It was only a few minutes from camp, and I hung my hammock there and spent hours enjoying the view and wildlife. There’s also a beautiful wildflower meadow filled with flowers and butterflies and plenty of land to wander and explore. There was something magical about sitting by the fire listening to the whip-poor-wills at night and waking up to a gathering of crows at camp in the morning. The whole property has a really special feeling to it, with plenty to explore and just as many places to be still and take it all in. It was the perfect place to slow down for a couple of days and spend my birthday. I’d absolutely love to come back. Thank you for sharing such a special piece of land!
