Overall had a good time. Host was very nice and dogs very friendly. Unfortunately you’re a lot closer to the house than expected and there was no river/beach nearby like mentioned. Still very nice but probably wouldn’t go back again just due to how close you are (literally in their back door).

Off a highway in a backyard. Our car got bogged and you can see the lights from the street at night. Would not recommend.

Such an amazing stay! Jason was a great host, the place was really cozy. Had access to the toilet inside the house which was really nice, as well as fresh water from the kitchen tap. Lots of access to wood for fire.

A lovely backdrop of paperbarks and palms. We were met on arrival, had all the assistance we needed, and were excited to explore the walk that took us to a beautiful view of the Brisbane waters. Bring your mozzie spray, set up your camp, and sit back and relax by the fire. The host could not be more helpful, and we really enjoyed our stay!

We had a great time at Jason’s property! The directions to camp were very clear and Jason was there to show us where everything was when we showed up. The weather had been pretty rainy in recent weeks so we were glad to have 4WD to get to camp - there only seemed to be one small spot where we needed it, but still. It rained all night so we couldn’t hear the cars from the road nearby at all. The bathroom (a portaloo) was clean and stocked with soap and tp. Thank you Jason!

I really enjoyed the stay! Had to leave a day early due to chance of rain. Jason was really nice and helpful! And did stay in contact throughout stay to ensure we were enjoying it!
I really enjoyed the sound of nature that this place brought as well.
Be prepared for leeches and mozzies. But lighting a fire will be your best friend!
100% recommend this place as a place to stay. Car access is available to where you are sleeping!

The main house is just meters away with plenty of guests. The house is higher than the camping area and throughout the night the lights are on without any window curtains. So, if you are outside the tent, you can't avoid seeing the light. There is another permanent tent setup around 100 meters from the camping site which plays music like music festivals until after 2 am. In a way the music is good, because once it is turned off the noise of heavy vehicles and small vehicles alike will keep you awake. For the price, it is a rip-off. If you are a light sleeper avoid this site. Overall, below average experience. It's more like camping in your backyard near a busy highway.

Jason was a great host. Hes was most welcoming and understanding of our situation since we had to arrive late and leave early due to the rain. Plus we had the best yoga class in a long time.

Jason was very communicative and friendly.
Everything was inline with the description and other reviews: Good spot if you are looking for something chill but not off the grid (near shops), bit of noise from main house until late and busy road nearby, rustic toilet= portoloo on edge of property, No showers (under construction apparently).
Relaxing spot, but minimal amenities for the price- just set your expectations accordingly and you'll enjoy it.

Gondwana is an awesome campsite! It's a beautiful property, very peaceful, Jason is super welcoming and friendly, and there's an amazing creek about 7 min walk away - we got to enjoy a beautiful sunset:) Great place to stay, 100% recommend.

Camping in the trees, how good!
We had a great time at Gondwana- once you have gotten used to your surroundings you could be in the middle of nowhere. Set up a great tarp rig, got a fire going and relaxed. It was pitch black at night which was great.
Really enjoyed it, super lcose to beach and little villages. Smashing

Beautiful space, nature 360 degrees! Jason was lovely, luckily the house was close as the portaloo was out & we were able to use the bathroom. Wildlife was stunning, mangrove walks along the lake at sunset divine.

the place was fantastic !! close to a lot of places like the shops and the beach just to a short drive. but at the same time was private. my dog loved it it was safe for her. we had just an issue with the toilet but Jason offered us a solution to this issue.

The host Jason was great, easily contactable, friendly and welcoming.
Pros:
- centrally located for beach’s and hiking trips
- close to amenities and shops
- plenty of shade and shelter
- fires and dogs permitted
- water available from taps
- can drive up to sites with AWD car
- Jason was a great host and very responsive
Cons
- the toilet is a portaloo, it was heavily soiled and no water available to flush. Jas agreed to have it serviced but this didn’t happen, so we were able to use his toilet inside his house
- music noise from neighbors one night, some light traffic noise
- the water is not easily accessible to launch a kayak or SUP
Overall we had a great stay! the camp sites are open and right by the 2 main residences so don’t expect too much privacy. If a little more time was put into maintenance of facilities it would be a more appealing place to stay. 3.5 or out 5 overall

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gondwana. Our hosts couldn’t have been more hospitable, generous, helpful and welcoming.
We stayed for 6 days and could have stayed longer.
We were close to the beach and restaurants- which wasn’t originally our plan for the week, we had imagined being on a rural Property “away from it all” but we ended up having adventures that were unplanned and created a holiday for us that was nicely balanced woh restful chill time and being out and about.
The property itself is beautiful. The property was closer to the road which we hadn’t envisioned but there were so many other pluses (our hosts hospitality, the prettiness of the property & the convenience of the location to other attractions) that this was not an issue for us at all.
What a cool holiday!
We will most definitely be back 🙌🏼🙏

Jason was welcoming and we enjoyed our 3 night stay at this spot. Site was nice, sheltered and private to suit avid campers. Beach and shops short drive away.

Jason was a lovely and helpful host. It was a pleasure staying at Gondwana. The sites were spacious and clean, and the amenities were good. We didn't have a chance to explore the whole area such as the lake nearby but would definitely do so if we're back here.

Campsite itself is nice but would recommend to go only to someone who is ok with no amenities. Toilet was out of order and water was very hard to find (we had to text the host who answered quickly). We had a lot of noise, coming from the owner house until 10pm and then from some campers until 2am/2:30 (but what can you do). Other than that we had a really nice time for the one night we stayed!

The Campsite was great with lots of privacy and huge space. Jason was very welcoming and nothing seemed to be an issue. I would recommend the campsite anytime.
