Welcome to Cornwall! Summit Camping has outstanding Panoramic views over the Tamar Valley. The Tamar Valley, Kit Hill is in an AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). The field is located just below the track up to Kit Hill which gives you access to 400 acres of Country Park to explore, and a quarry with lake to swim in. On the Devon / Cornwall border, gives you so much to see and do. Dartmoor is 30 minutes away, and Bodmin Moor only a 15-minute drive. You can see them both from the field along with Caradon downs, The River Tamar, and out to Plymouth Sound and the Sea. Seaton, Looe and Bude Beaches are all within 40 minutes, plus Coastline along both the North and South Coasts all the way to Lands End. Dont miss the TamarCoast2Coast walks and canoeing just down the road a Gunnislake to Calstock.
There is literally something for everyone here from Neolithic and Standing Stones, to riding, cycling, walking, adventure parks, beaches, moors, pubs and restaurants, sightseeing, fishing villages, National Trust Gardens, shopping, watersports, country pubs or just lying on the grass at Summit soaking up the view then sitting by the campfire on a crystal clear night.
Callington has good bars, pubs, eateries and shops, Tesco, Spar, B&M. Micro pub, micro cocktail bar, pizza, Indian, Chinese, fish & chips.
Louis Cafe and farm shop is just down the lane, easy walking. and we have lots of great village pubs within 5 miles.
