Nearly wild camping with spectacular views? Stars and Moor in Bodmin Moor National Landscape certainly has views in spades – right to the distant south coast in fact – and what’s more, there are just a handful of off-grid camping pitches on site, all spread out across two acres of pasture surrounded by Cornish walling.
We are a Greener Camping Members Site. To Join is £12.00 for the remainder of the year if you are not already a member. You can join when you arrive. We accept credit cards on site.
All the pitches are on grass and you can pick your preferred spot on arrival. Vehicles are parked in a designated area, from which your gear is transported to the pitches in a wheelbarrow.
Facilities in the converted horse trailer include hot showers and fully plumbed loos, and there’s ample hot water to make your alfresco washing up less of a chore – but please do note there’s no electricity on site.
On-site entertainment is all about the views, which you can appreciate while cooking on your firepit – hire one on site, complete with a supply of firewood. The skies on cloudless nights are a glittering marvel that you can share with family and friends while cosying up around the fire.
Pack walking boots for yomps on Bodmin Moor footpaths from your tent, and bring bikes for cycling on moorland tracks or canoes for adventures out on Siblyback Lake.
Local amenities are a short stroll away in the village of Minions (20 minutes’ walk), where there’s a well-stocked shop and the highest tea room in Cornwall. Heading in the opposite direction are two pubs within 15 minutes’ walk.

Centrally located yet quiet, secluded and flat two-acre meadow with 9 large grass pitches each mowed for privacy within natural wildflower borders.
Clean and well looked after composting toilets, hot gas showers, fire pits, free scrap wood and a quiet woodland to immerse yourself in, next to the stream.
Mushroom Meadow and the adjoining woodland are nestled at the bottom of our picturesque 50 acre family farm - with the stream at it's southerly border. Access is via a long farm track (about 750m) and is clearly signed once you arrive at our farm.
The numbered pitches are thoughtfully spaced across the entire meadow. Perfect for those who like lots of space and for children who like to run free.
An ideal West Cornwall location (10 min drive to both North and South coasts) - you can walk into our village of Praze and Beeble to visit the local pub, village shop or famous Philps Bakery for all your pasty needs!

Such a lovely campsite! A really nice set up with long wild grass around the pitches and plenty of space. We loved the communal campfire and friendly atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and visit again!

My partner and I stayed here a week but could easily have stayed so much longer! We found ourselves right at home amongst a really lovely down to earth community of people. Willow has done such a fantastic job of creating a wildlife haven here. So many animals and birds. Every night we fell asleep to the soundscape of tawny owls and crickets. A lot of the facilities have a rustic, homemade feel and are powered by solar and wind, so if that's you're vibe, then you'll love it. Hot showers and fire pits available. It's a great place to base yourself for exploring that part of Cornwall. We will be back!

We had a glorious few days at Belle Camping. Michelle is a fabulous host - kind, helpful and full of info. . Everything you need is there. Walking access to Coastal Path. And food truck on site is excellent. Would go back in a heartbeat and strongly recommend.

Campsite was lovely, facilities were great and clean. Paul and Vicky couldn’t have been more helpful! Nothing was too much trouble. Paul mapped us out a circular walk for us to visit the local smoke house. They lent us a hose pipe to wash dog down too! We will be back to visit again!

Just returned from a fantastic week at Mushroom meadow! It has great spacious pitches, basic but perfectly adequate facilities; showers, toilets, sink and firepit ! Great to leave the beautiful beaches and return to a nice warm shower! The owners are present but not intrusive at all! It was a lovely, peaceful and relaxing atmosphere on site! Great location, with easy access to Camborne for shops and supermarkets for food etc! Perfect location for accessing both North and South coasts for all the lovely Cornish beaches! Great value for money for cost of pitch for a week! Would very highly recommend and would love to return! Thankyou so much for a lovely week !!

We had our pick of camping pitches but if it was busier you might end up with a less even pitch.

Tent pitches are large enough for a large tent and a vehicle. Showers had good pressure and hot water. WC, dishwashing sink, and water supply spigot all worked well.
