Set the edge of Exmoor, we have unrivalled coastal views, direct access to the South West Coast Path and Combe Martin bay is just a little walk away (perfect for paddle-boarding and dolphin spotting!).
Choose your pitch, settle down by a fire pit and watch the sun set across Combe Martin bay. With pizza’s available on some weekends, breakfast baguettes for breakfast and a selection of farm produce available - we have everything you could need, we are campervan friendly too.
With footpaths from the farm in all directions you can join the South West Coast Path or just ramble down to the village where there are shops, cafes and pubs a plenty.
With full flushing toilets and hot showers, as well as a washing up area, there is even an old railway carriage with electric plugs to charge your phone or dry your hair, with a fridge and freezer to look after your supper too.
We are a small site focusing on that quiet get-away. There is no road noise, just the farmer going about his day job, who’s more than happy to chat about the wildlife, birds and weather!

In 2026, we are excited to open our new campsite! Maes Gwennol Camping is a small, peaceful and spacious campsite set within a 30-acre ecological cohousing community, just 3 miles from Cardigan (Aberteifi) and 6 miles from the sea. Surrounded by meadows, wildlife and far-reaching views, this off-grid, low-impact campsite offers plenty of space to relax and reconnect with nature.
We steward our land to regenerate ecosystems and support wildlife. Public footpaths lead directly from the site through a secluded river valley, woodland and the wider landscape, making it an ideal base for walkers, nature lovers and anyone looking to experience the beauty of West Wales at a slower pace.
The campsite is also just a 20-minute walk from the National Eisteddfod site at Llantood, making it a convenient and peaceful place to stay during the festival.
We have 5 pitch areas, 2 separate campervan spaces and 1 bell tent, ensuring a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of room between guests. Each pitch accommodates up to 8 people, you can decide how many tents and there is at least 10 metres between pitches. There is loads of space to play games and relax and the car park is in the field opposite.
Facilities are simple and low impact and include compost toilet and outdoor washing-up area. Campfires are welcome in our fire pit areas, allowing you to enjoy evenings under the stars.
We encourage guests to tread lightly and enjoy the land respectfully. As part of our low-impact approach, we do not provide refuse collection, so guests are asked to take home any recycling and non-compostable waste. Compostable materials can be placed in the compost toilet system. If you are travelling by foot or by bike, let us know and we can dispose of your waste- please leave it near the entrance to the campsite.
When available, we can offer seasonal vegetables, fruit, cider and eggs from our free-range chickens, produced within the community.
From the campsite you can easily explore Cardigan and the surrounding countryside...the beaches, coastal paths, the Teifi River and Teifi marshes reserve and wildlife of the Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion coast. Whether you're visiting for the Eisteddfod, exploring the coast, walking local footpaths or simply seeking a peaceful place to camp, Maes Gwennol offers a simple, spacious and nature-focused camping experience in a beautiful corner of West Wales.

Head west through Wales to the coast and somewhere by the south east corner of Ireland is the beautiful region of Pembrokeshire. Halfway between the smallest cathedral city in the realm and the site of the last invasion of Britain by their Gallic neighbours is the idyll of Sir Benfro. Once in Trevine or Trefin, there is a long bumpy lane with no tarmac. Watch that sat nav go into the blue, and you too can be Ar y Mwny.
Make your camp nestled on a gentle hillside, with panoramic views of the sea and countryside. Located just about as far away from any roads as its possible to get in this part of Pembrokeshire, yet still only a short walk to the coast via footpaths.
Being situated amongst several hundred acres of farmland, we not only have inspirational views but also the blessing of unobstructed sunrises and sunsets, followed by a wide open starscape.
Its possible to take the wildlife for granted, but across the seasons we can delight in the bird flocks, and casually greet the resident buzzards and foxes and the family of Jac y Do that have raised their young here over several decades. And now, the little birds are managing to flourish too. We live here in harmony, and are thankful for the space. Forget that clock.

The space
Waunbayvil camping is set in its own secluded spot on 40 acres of private wildland and woodlands in the Pembrokeshire national Park, with a pond and views of the stunning landscape. It is the perfect getaway, a place to re-connect with nature and your loved ones in the most peaceful place away from it all. This is not a big campsite with lots of other people, you can book one of 3 seperate fields for a private group, or otherwise, only 2 or 3 families very spread out at a time.
The pitches are set out with plenty of space in between. There is parking for cars or campervans with nothing but nature all around you. We also have a small hard standing area for campervan.
There is a shared compost loo, a washing up area, and an off grid shower shack. It is set in the most beautiful surroundings, teaming with wild life and filled with wild orchids and many different species of grasses and wildflowers. It is unique and a treat for people who love natural habitat. The sea is about two miles away where there are spectacular cliff walks for many miles on the Pembrokeshire coast path, and beautiful beaches for swimming.
Bring logs and kindling with you. (Can be bought from any garage)
If you bring a cool box we can top you up with frozen ice packs. Just ask.

Situated on 160 acres within Exmoor National Park, campers are encouraged to take advantage of our relaxed, rule-free approach allowing you to pitch wherever you fancy. Sheltered corners and wide open spaces are aplenty suiting everyone from couples to large groups. Panoramic sea views greet every patch of our working farm while CAMPFIRES and DOGS are actively encouraged.
If the views bring you, it's the inclusive facilities that'll keep you. Two blocks contain 10 toilets, 7 unlimited hot showers (try these!), laundry, washing sinks, fridge/freezer & a microwave. There are also freshwater standpipes in each field and a chemical disposal point.
However, sometimes a shower doesn't hack it. That's where our converted stone Barn Café comes in-complete with Wi-Fi & charging points. Open all day every day, 'The Barn' provides an oasis away from the elements, where you can enjoy everything from breakfast in the garden to dinner by the woodburner. If DIY campfire cooking is more your style, we also have a fully-stocked farm shop onsite providing all the essentials & much more too!
Drinks? There's only one choice... a pint o' Caffyns cider. Homegrown on our 3000-tree strong orchard, located next to the campfields, our apples go from picking to pinting without leaving the farm. From sweet to scrumpy varieties there is no better way to try this land's fabled beverage than in our cider bar.
For the adrenaline junkies, onsite horse riding allows you to sample Exmoor's scenery from the saddle. Catering to all experience levels, from beginner to advanced, our range of rides (1hr-3hrs) gives everyone the chance to explore with a discount given to those staying with us!
Wandering through Caffyns acreage will introduce you to some of the other friendly farmyard 'locals'. Goats (Hint: Goat Cafe?!), alpacas, chickens, turkeys & sheep are all dotted throughout the farm on the way down to the South West Coast Path on our farm's perimeter. The nearest beach is a 20min walk away (Lee Bay) while Lynton & Lynmouth are 45mins.

The site is in a beautiful location and the directions through Google Maps made it easy to find. Compost toilet and dishwashing area made the trip easier. Ruth was very friendly and we were excited to discover we were amongst the first ever campers! Good luck with the new venture!

Wow what an amazing spot near Cardigan! We stayed for 1 night to go to the Eisteddfod and will definitely be back. It was so peaceful, surrounded by nature - swallows , dragon flies butterflies. If like us, you don’t like staying at busy built up campsites , then this is perfect! We had our van and the drive up was very easy, only about 10 mins from the town and a short lane with lots of passing places before the short farm track. We are pretty self contained in our van but were grateful to have access to water (drinking and washing up) as well as a lovely compost toilet! Lots of cool walks around from the site too along footpaths that are well maintained. We even walked to the Eisteddfod, through fields and woodland. It was magical. Best thing of all is the values that they try to live by and build here! I also really appreciated that they made an effort with incorporating Welsh, which is so important to keep for west, rural Wales. Also, Ruth invited us to join her for their gathering with friends and we tried some cider made on-site and had a lovely time listening to the music. It really is a special place here! Diolch yn fawr !

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2x night stay here in Pembroke as part of a longer road trip, Catherine and Adam’s site was arguably the best we’ve stared at yet. The great woodland walk on site was ideal for our dog and toddled. The recommendations from the chalk board were all amazing (couldn’t get them all done but loved the ones we did). The site hosts were lovely, the site itself is full of character and charm, we’ll be back !

An excellent location, only a 20 minute walk into Pembroke town. It's a small site, but the clever layout makes it feel spacious, and the facilities are simple but clean and pleasant. We were in a van, but there was plenty of dry covered space for wet campers with a kettle and fridge, and I could see that these were well used by people in small tents. There was even a fire pit for the shared shelter. The beautiful woodland walk was brilliant for our dog (on his lead!), within the site, although he was less keen on the chunky gravel paths. The couple running the site got the perfect balance of checking up v leaving us to it, and there were some lovely touches, like fresh flowers in the washroom. Definitely one to come back to.

Absolutely lovely camp site, Cath & Adam lovely and friendly great to have a chat with. Toilets and shower always clean and tidy, the shower absolutely amazing great pressure and hot.
Pitch was lovely well maintained pegs went in great. So peaceful and quiet hearing the birds tweeting around you. We loved it that much we booked an extra night loads of things todo within walking or a short drive away will definitely recommend and will 1000% be back. Thank you for an amazing holiday.

Parke farm is a charming, private and individual campsite. Charles is a font of knowledge supplying us with a personalised itinerary for us to do on a daily basis! We had asked for ideas, he gently shared his knowledge with us. We saw areas we would never have found without his suggestions. Very central for exploring Pembrokeshire.The camp site was rustic, barriers between vehicles/tents were formed out of wild grass, they were large pitches. There was also a social area if you wanted one. The showers were hot and loos were clean, what more could you wish for? We would highly recommend!
