Meadowsweet farm is a rustic and peaceful sustainable family farm on the north Devon coast. A five-minute drive to Saunton Sands; 15 minutes to Barnstaple. This site is a fast-track route back to nature five minutes’ drive from Saunton Sands and 15 minutes from Barnstaple. It's a place where the peace, sea breeze and sustainability mingle together to create a rural camping experience on a small eco-friendly farm. If surfing ranks high on the list for your trip, you’ll be well set with the local swell on several sandy beaches within 20 minutes’ drive. And if walking or cycling is your favourite pursuit, you can head out over the sand dunes (a great setting for watching the sunset) or walk right onto the lengthy Tarka Trail for a self-guided cycling and walking tour over Devon’s cliffs and coves. Friendly guests should find some good chat on site, as social and sensible souls can make use of the communal firepits (with wood available from the farm). And for when you feel like quality family time or gathering in a close-knit group, there are also portable fire troughs. With no electricity, this off-grid site will take you nicely back to basics, with just simple facilities such as toilets, sinks and hot showers on site. When you want to head into town, Braunton (five minutes’ drive) has several restaurants and a supermarket for food and a selection of pubs for a tipple. Surf shops, bike hire and guided nature walks with a local botanist are available too.

Space for guests Guests can enjoy generous space to relax and unwind in a peaceful, off-grid setting. The camping field features spacious grass pitches with plenty of room between neighbouring tents, creating a sense of privacy and tranquillity. With a car-free tent camping area surrounded by open countryside, it's an ideal place to reconnect with nature, enjoy the fresh air, and let children play safely in the open space. Access to amenities Tent campers have easy access to shared amenities, including hot showers, composting toilets, fresh drinking water, and washing-up facilities. Fire pits are available to use, with logs available to purchase onsite. Campervans are parked in an adjacent field, where they have access to dedicated toilets and a fresh water point. The showers are just a short walk away in the main facilities area. Keeping campervans in a separate field helps minimise vehicle traffic through the tent camping area, preserving the pasture and maintaining a safer, more peaceful environment where children can play freely. Access to activities Meadowsweet Farm is ideally located for exploring the best of North Devon. The nearby cycle trails, beautiful beaches, and Braunton village are all within easy reach, whether you choose to travel by bike, car, or on foot if you're a keen walker. Guests can enjoy scenic cycling routes, coastal walks, surfing, wildlife watching, and relaxing beach days, while the village offers cafés, pubs, independent shops, and everyday essentials just a short journey away. With so much close at hand, it's easy to leave the campsite and enjoy everything the area has to offer before returning to the peace and quiet of the farm.
