Earn this patch by being the first to spend a night outside at a new Hipcamp.

Ynysfaen is a small family run campsite yet we are mighty with our accommodation. We cater for grass field tent camping. Grass field tent camping with EHU. No extra charge for gazebos or similar shelters. Small VW size camper vans on hard standings with EHU. Shepherds hut with its own private kitchen that sleeps two. Hand built log cabin that can sleep four. An empty five meter bell tent erected for you for your stay. We have three spotlessly clean showers and toilets. A covered washing up area with hot water and utensils and products for washing up with. An American style fridge freezer for campers use. Full recycling. Herbs to use for your cocktails or your culinary delights. Out door games. BBQs and fire pits to use providing you purchase our logs abd bbq coals. Picnic benches Non allocated pitches for camping and a friendly warm welcome is always on hand too. We don’t like to cram people in so there’s plenty of uninterrupted space for everyone to enjoy.

Grass Field Tent Camping

Our extremely flat camping field offers you the choice to pick your own spot. The field is enclosed and no vehicles are allowed on the field so it’s safe for everyone, especially children. We supply wheelbarrows for you to carry your camping items the short distance to the field.

Campervan hardstanding pitch EHU

We have a total of four campervan pitches with EHU and hardstanding on grass with hard standing underneath. There are two pitches on the main field numbers 3 snd 4 and two more secluded pitches surrounded by hedge numbers 1 and 2. All four have EHU. Motorhomes are not accepted due to not having chemical disposal points and access issues but VW size or similar are fine.

5mtr Erected Empty Bell Tent

Our four and five meter bell tents are erected for you before you arrive so you don’t have the hassle. The green coloured spacious bell tent also has a canopy on the front and matting on the floor inside. You would need to bring everything else with you for your stay. You have use of the campsite toilets, showers, washing up area and fridge freezer

Ynysfaen Log Cabin

Ynysfaen cabin is a hand built cabin that is fully self contained. The cabin has one bedroom with a double bed and clothes storage. The cabin could sleep four as there is a small double sofa bed in the living area. The cabin has its own kitchen and shower room with a toilet and sink. There is a veranda and fire pit for you to use too. If friends or family wish to pitch their tents near to you this is also an option.

Ynysfaen Shepherds Hut

Our Black Mountain shepherds hut sleeps two adults, no dogs allowed. The shepherds hut has its own log burner, tea and coffee making facilities, bedding and towels for you to use. A double bed with a wardrobe for clothes. The shepherds hut also has its own private kitchen that has a settee, log burner, fridge, cooking facilities and all the utensils you’d need, bins, outdoor blankets, a microwave and electricity sockets. Perfect for a quiet chilled break. There are also indoor and outdoor tables and chairs for you to use too
