Easily accessible off the A541 Mold-Denbigh road , 7 mins from J31 on A55 . A short 20-25 minute drive to the beach resorts of Talacre , Rhyl , Abergele and Prestatyn. The historic towns of Denbigh and Mold are only a 15 minute drive away as is Holywell and Flint . We are brand new for 2024 and will have 2 units onsite this year and plans in place for another 2 soon . Glangwdi Glamping offers furnished bell tents in sight of Pen y Fan, the Brecon Beacon’s highest peak. For some, that alone will be reason enough to book but for others there are further temptations. The site is 2.5 acres. Take, for example, Glangwdi’s pygmy goats. There’s a daily opportunity to meet these little farmyard friends and there are ducks and chickens too. And, as if that’s not enough, this flat field in the foothills is just five miles from bustling Brecon and a short walk from woods, waterfalls and wild swimming.
The bell tents themselves are yet another attraction. There are six; each pitched around the edge of a neat field on a family farm. Woven hazel fencing ensures a little privacy for each camping couple or family – this place is equally suited to both. Children will love the cute pygmy goats and adults… well let’s face it, they will love the pygmy goats too. But they’ll also love the fact that you can hike straight from site to the top of 886-metre Pen y Fan and its twin peak Corn Du. And who wouldn’t enjoy a campfire under the stars, in the shadow of the Beacons?
The five and six metre bell tents are each kitted out with beds, bedding and log-burning stoves. Outside, each has the off-ground fire pit and outdoor seating regular glampers will have come to expect but there’s an added extra too: a private camp kitchen, that’s also canvas covered. It provides a sheltered place to cook and dine when the weather’s wet and welcome shade when this open field is bathed in summer sun.
On such days, this is just the kind of scenic spot that could tempt you to stay on site all day but if you’re feeling adventurous the mountains will soon lure you away. Hiking, biking and wild swimming (try Llyn Cwm Llwch on way up top) are all on offer here. Closer by, Held Wood is a local favourite for walks with a series of small waterfalls within it. The Taff Trail offers well-signposted routes – towards the peaks in one direction or along country lanes to the market town of Brecon in the other.

We had a great stay in the Wye Pod at Great house farm. Communication was fab and super speedy! All info was sent over on email before our stay and made it very easy for checking in. The pod was cosy and clean, as well as the hot tub being the perfect temperature for arrival. The views are amazing and we all wished we could wake up and use a hot tub with that view everyday! the animals are all cheeky and fun to watch, my favourite was the donkeys! We had a really great dog friendly stay and would defo stay again! The only thing we wouldn't have minded more of was the tea, coffee & sugar. Otherwise a stunning stay!

Beautiful location, really lovely little barn with all basic amenities. Only issue is it was a bit hard to find at first, though John was always happy to help with any queries we had. We were a little surprised to see it wasn’t as private as we expected - the barn is attached to the owner’s house and has family members regularly walking by. Absolutely fine of course, just would have been nice to know (particularly as there’s a window that looks right in to the bathroom!)
Overall we had a wonderful stay, and have absolutely fallen in love with North Wales.

The yurt was beautiful, it felt spacious inside. Care has been given to zoning the space to segregate children and adults sleeping areas. The garden area is incredibly generous outside with a large lawn area and a big decking area. Lovely bathroom with a delightful shower. The hot tub takes effort but was worth the time spent lighting the fire.

Wow what an incredible stay! The camping barn is really lovely, with everything you need. The location is absolutely beautiful and feels like you’re own little hideaway, but still with easy access and perfect for exploring Llyn Peninsula. We had the most wonderful time at Tan-y-Capel Hideaway. It is stunning in every single way. The views are never ending! Rebecca and Dave were such welcoming hosts, going above and beyond to make us welcome and give us all the local information so we could make the most of our time there. A trip to the Ty Coch Inn is a must, set on a National Trust beach. I will definitely be visiting again and would highly recommend a trip

3 nights at wildwood quarry retreat
We stayed in the Oak cabin. Both cabins are pretty identical. Absolutely fantastic stay with an amazing location and stunning views. Unfortunately we didn't have the best weather but that was ok because we had all the facilities we needed to cook, clean and relax.
Super easy access to nearby towns if wanting to venture off to find stuff to do.
The outdoor bath was a really nice touch as well. Felt so relived and stress free not having to think about the daily grind for a few nights.
Couldn't recommend Wildwood Quarry Retreat enough!!
