Glamping in England

·

Camping in England all-too-often conjures up images of mud-splattered wellies and rain-ravaged tents, but if you prefer your back-to-nature experience served with all the comforts of home, glamping provides the perfect compromise. The glamping movement was born on English shores, so it’s no surprise that England has taken its glampsites to a whole other level. Escape to a tipi in the Cornish countryside, cosy up in a glamping pod on the edge of the Lake District or Peak District national parks, or seek out a secluded glamping getaway in the Yorkshire Dales. Most glampsites come fully furnished with heating/air conditioning to keep you comfortable year-round and wifi, so you can stay connected. Some also offer luxuries like an open-air hot tub or a firepit, and you could even check into a quirky glamping dome, a repurposed gypsy caravan, or a homely shepherd's hut.
