Our beautiful home is a glamping and camping site with its own gorgeous fishing lake on the outskirts of the village of Llandyfan. You can find us to the west of the Brecon Beacons or Bannau Brycheiniog National Park. Llandyfan Campsite has been lovingly re-established in early 2024 by Andy and Jo. Since taking ownership, we have rolled up our sleeves and got stuck into restoring it to its former glory and will soon be back to being a fully operational slice of Welsh heaven. Our first focus has been the fishing lake which we opened in March. The campsite followed in May. We are currently working on electric hook ups and other improvements. We have chickens on site that roam free during the day. They are friendly and like to wander around the tents to say hello to our guests! We would like everyone who visits to have a great time and a relaxing break. Whilst here please be considerate towards others, to their property, and while using the facilities. If you have any concerns, please let us know. We have brought out a few rules from our T&Cs and we kindly ask that you have a read through before your stay. Litter: You must pick up your litter. Please either take it with you or recycle it appropriately in the bins onsite. There are bins around the campsite, please recycle where possible. Pitches to be left as you found them. Noise: Be respectful and consider your neighbours. Keep noise to a minimum after 10pm and before 8am in the morning. No loud music is to be played at any time. Children: Children must be supervised at all times around the campsite and can play within the pitch space allocated to you. At quiet times, it may be possible for children to use vacant pitches for play but this cannot be guaranteed. The amenity block and associated facilities are not to be used as a play area. Talsarnau has a pub and Penrhyndeudraeth has 2 small supermarkets, post office, several cafes, restaurants and takeaways, 2 pubs and a petrol station. Porthmadog is a few minutes further by car, bus or train and has extensive services and facilities. The property is accessed via a steep narrow lane, with passing places, about 1/2 mile from the A496 road. By public transport, there is a train station and a bus stop in Llandecwyn on the main road. National cycle route 8 passes our property gate. Llyn Tecwyn lake is a few minutes walk up the lane, with Llandecwyn church above that. A little further away are more lakes and reservoirs, the Rhinog mountains with Bryn Cader Faner and a temperate rain forest Coed Felinrhyd. All are lovely hikes from our property.

Weekend Trip to Celtic Woodland Holidays

This was our second time staying here, and it was even more special than the first time. Every second is something to cherish. Hosts are lovely, warm and very welcoming. Facilities are outstanding, with communal kitchen and games rooms with had a pool table, air hockey and the means to play table tennis. The pod was warm, comfortable and homely. We cannot wait to stay again. Perfect getaway.

We had a great stay in the Wye Pod at Great house farm. Communication was fab and super speedy! All info was sent over on email before our stay and made it very easy for checking in. The pod was cosy and clean, as well as the hot tub being the perfect temperature for arrival. The views are amazing and we all wished we could wake up and use a hot tub with that view everyday! the animals are all cheeky and fun to watch, my favourite was the donkeys! We had a really great dog friendly stay and would defo stay again! The only thing we wouldn't have minded more of was the tea, coffee & sugar. Otherwise a stunning stay!

Thanks Mark for the lovely stay! The area is secluded and picturesque, which really gave us the feeling of living a nomadic life with just the basic amenities. A few tips for future visitors: Bring a hanging light or headlamp, as it gets very dark and there’s no lighting provided. There’s a gas stove and cooking area, but you’ll need to bring your own utensils. Pack warm duvets and thick jackets if you’re visiting in autumn, as nights can get very cold. 🚗 Important: Do not drive your car down to the tent. Park just after entering the gate and walk down instead. I missed the host’s message about this, got stuck trying to drive back up, and had to be rescued by a farmer with his tractor (thankfully the host responded quickly and was super helpful!). Despite that little adventure, I absolutely loved the stay and would highly recommend it if you’re looking for a unique experience without the hassle of putting up a tent yourself.

Great camp site , everything is well organised and well tought . Suzi has put an enormous amount of work and dedication to make this camp site so unique and welcoming. Suzi has gone above and beyond with meticulous arrangements for Geodomes, nice clean and spacious , full off blankets , linens , lamps and gadgets like fans . Her welcom book / guide it is an essence of valuable information where to go and what are best local places to visit . Suzi itself is an very open and friendly person , always ready to help and support. Perfect spot for star gazing.Very dark nights. Cooking/ dining shack is absolutely amazing( brilliant idea itself), everything is there, you can even cook or make bbq during rainy day. Camping stove in situ. Honesty shop - needed essential in situ , wood logs , charcoal , local products like jams ,tea , eggs and coffe . Dog friendly site. Recycling zone present . Would return next year . Can not complaint about anything, everything is well maintained - general site conditions including utilities, essentials and building conditions. Very nice place , come and rejoice with nature.

Cedar cabin was absolutely immaculate it was nice and cozy on a hill which gave it the best view! The lake is incredibly stunning and filled with fish! My son also went fishing there and sadly had his fishing rod pulled in by a fish but the next morning the host went and found it. The host was so kind and welcoming 5/5 stars would highly recommend!

Really nice and peaceful place that is clean and well maintained. Would definitely return! The hosts are lovely and incredibly accommodating. What a brilliant location! My only gripe is with another guest, but there’s nothing the hosts could do to stop this. Essentially another guest that was blatantly a male (nice enough as a person) was using the women’s toilets. Numerous times my partner went in with my 8 year old daughter to be met by him in the loos. I know it’s the way of this mad world at the moment, as people can identify as an orphaned penguin. But if my daughter had gone in alone, this could have been a potentially dangerous situation with someone that is obviously mentally ill. I have no idea how this can be managed and prevented though without unnecessary cost. Anyway, this doesn’t affect our opinion of the venue at all. Brilliant break and a much needed period of no devices allowed for myself on my family. Thanks again.

This campsite is perfection. We booked a bell tent to celebrate my birthday. It was a great choice. Everything was just lovely from the warm welcome, the help with transporting all our clobber up the hill, stunning views of the mountains and the site is a wildlife haven. We saw baby swallows and a hedgehog and loved the morning birdsong. Come here for absolute peace and tranquility. We can't wait to return.
