An ideal location for exploring all that Snowdonia has to offer. Close to beautiful beaches and mountains. Or just stay put and enjoy the view! Ideal for individuals or small to medium size groups.
There is a horse box that sleeps 2 on a high bed above the cab and has a kitchenette/dining space. There are 4 camp areas, one is quite large and could accommodate several tents. All are less than 100 metres from the parking area and facilities, which are basic, but there is a compost toilet and a tap. 80% cleaning fee refund if accommodation is left clean and ready for next guests
This is a simple and unspoilt site that offers a tranquil setting, with sounds of nature and amazing views.
There are many beautiful beaches and lakes close by, castles, steam trains, mountains, historic buildings and pilgrim churches, water sports, national cycle route and the coastal path. Within 20 minutes by car, bus or train are Harlech, Porthmadog, Tremadog and Blaenau Ffestiniog (zip world). Snowdon walk is half an hour’s drive away. Plenty to do!
For local services, 2 miles away in different directions are two villages. Talsarnau has a pub and Penrhyndeudraeth has 2 small supermarkets, post office, several cafes, restaurants and takeaways, 2 pubs and a petrol station. Porthmadog is a few minutes further by car, bus or train and has extensive services and facilities.
The property is accessed via a steep narrow lane, with passing places, about 1/2 mile from the A496 road. By public transport, there is a train station and a bus stop in Llandecwyn on the main road. National cycle route 8 passes our property gate.
Llyn Tecwyn lake is a few minutes walk up the lane, with Llandecwyn church above that. A little further away are more lakes and reservoirs, the Rhinog mountains with Bryn Cader Faner and a temperate rain forest Coed Felinrhyd. All are lovely hikes from our property.

Lovely area, beautiful and quaint. The pod was efficient enough bed and space. Only thing we did not like was the fact there was no window and the door (stable door type) had to be left a jar for air circulation. But the hosts we very accommodating. The compost toilet one of the best so far. Wasn't really keen with the shower door being connected to their property which meant we as a family felt uncomfortable using the shower room. But overall decent for a roof over our head whilst we explored.

Well appointed very dog friendly shepherd's hut, and we even survived Storm Dave in it!
Hut is set in its own dog-secure orchard adjacent to the chicken run and a barn. Lovely views and sunrises over Clwydian hills.
Good shower and cooking facilities. Very comfy bed. Portable heater and log burner.
Eggs from the chickens next door are excellent. 10 min drive to town, great value huge dog zoomie field a minute away, plus lots of forest walks in the area.
One of the best huts we've stayed in, and expect to return to!

Weekend Trip to Felin Uchaf Meadow Camping
This place is so unbelievably whimsical. we stayed in the roundhouse bunkhouse and it was just perfect - even through storm Dave. We woke up to the sounds of animals and the stream just outside our patio each morning and it couldn’t have been any better. The volunteers at Felin Uchaf are just amazing - they keep the place so clean and tidy and it is perfect for anyone to visit. The only thing I would add is we could’ve done with a heater/heated blanket etc as there was a storm when we was there - but that is our own problem for becoming unprepared. I will 100% be returning to this site.

Weekend Trip to Felin Uchaf Meadow Camping
Loved everything about this place. Excellent vibes. Great sense of laid back community around (and I'm including the trees and the piglets and the ducks wandering around, alongside the beautiful folks running things and the neighbors and other visitors hanging out at the cafe) while also very much having the solitude we were seeking. My first time in the country, and I felt very at home here. We got great recommendations for beaches to go to as well. I hope to go back before too long.

We had the most wonderful stay at this gorgeous shepherds hut. Everything about our visit was just perfect. The setting was so peaceful and private and dreamy, such a beautiful little escape to relax and switch off. The hut itself was cosy, spotless, and had everything we could possibly need, you can really tell how much care and thought has gone into it. The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, which made the whole experience feel even more special. Honestly, there is nothing we would change. We left feeling so happy and refreshed and would absolutely love to come back again. Could not recommend it more 💖

I loved the Boy John. There was so much attention to detail in everything on board. Very comfortable bed and plenty of lighting. Also clear instructions around the site, regarding water, showers, toilets etc. All facilities very clean. Nothing compares to having your own little bit of coastline !!

We really enjoyed staying at the cabin, it's in a very private woodland with a fire pit and bbq. Cabin is very comfortable but you still get a camping like "back to nature" experience.

Great camp site , everything is well organised and well tought . Suzi has put an enormous amount of work and dedication to make this camp site so unique and welcoming. Suzi has gone above and beyond with meticulous arrangements for Geodomes, nice clean and spacious , full off blankets , linens , lamps and gadgets like fans .
Her welcom book / guide it is an essence of valuable information where to go and what are best local places to visit .
Suzi itself is an very open and friendly person , always ready to help and support.
Perfect spot for star gazing.Very dark nights.
Cooking/ dining shack is absolutely amazing( brilliant idea itself), everything is there, you can even cook or make bbq during rainy day. Camping stove in situ.
Honesty shop - needed essential in situ , wood logs , charcoal , local products like jams ,tea , eggs and coffe .
Dog friendly site.
Recycling zone present .
Would return next year .
Can not complaint about anything, everything is well maintained - general site conditions including utilities, essentials and building conditions.
Very nice place , come and rejoice with nature.

Our stay at Over the Moon was absolutely perfect. Ruth was super friendly and gave clear instructions on how to find them, and replied quickly to any questions. The location is beautiful and incredibly peaceful. The hut had everything we needed and the bed was huge and very comfortable. We can’t wait to come stay again!

4 nights at Nant Bach Retreat
Lovely spot on the Lynn peninsula. Close to Nefyn with a nice beach and some other amazing beaches close by. The cabin was spacious for 3 and having the BBQ and fire was amazing. Thank you John.
