Unit 2 is basic holiday accommodation in a former farm cottage. Quick summary: 17th c Barn/cottage with living area and woodburner 2 bedrooms with double beds Space for camp beds Electricity and water kitchen. Activities: Footpaths or kayaking along river Wye Visit to cathedral city of Hereford or nearby towns such as Hay on Wye and Ledbury Hiking/pony trekking in the Brecon Beacons. Or relax at the farm - birdwatching, walk your dog, or chill round a campfire. The cottage has 16th c origins and formerly used for farm workers or livestock. It is unmodernised with a new metal roof over old beams and concrete floor over broken flagstones. There are views through diamond lattice windows over meadows to an oak coppice. Bedrooms: two double bedrooms and separate sleeping area for camp beds. Facilities: drinking water in the yard; Eco loos +cold water Hot shower in farmhouse. Electric for kettle, hob, devices Nature: There are views over oak woods and meadows full of wild flowers where you will always see flocks of linnets and goldfinches. Swallows nest in the stables right outside the windows and are a spectacular sight on summer evenings. A secluded part of the river Wye is a short walk away for wild swimming or to enjoy nature.

We had a wonderful weekend at Katherine’s place. The whole family made us feel so welcome and were incredibly friendly. It was a fantastic rewilding experience with beautiful open fields, a peaceful atmosphere, and thoughtful eco-friendly amenities. It was the perfect place to relax, reconnect with nature, and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Thank you so much, Katherine, for such a lovely weekend. We can’t wait to visit again!

Katherine and her partner were so so lovely. They have a beautiful setting and very private beautiful landscape. Amenities were as stated and couldn’t have wanted more. We absolutely loved our stay, would definitely stay again. Even if they are busy you are completely undisturbed, because she put us in a different field as she had a big group the other field (you couldn’t hear them at all). 10/10 peaceful as advertised, great wildlife, including a few really friendly horses!! Thanks guys, will definitely be back :)

Really enjoyed camping here! Peaceful and even had the field to myself! Highly reccomend :). Owners were welcoming, chatty and useful in finding lovely local walks! Just wish I could have stayed longer.

We loved camping in Katharine’s farm land! What an idyllic place, we practically had the whole field to ourselves, only shared with one other couple for one night. If you are looking for back to basics camping, with rural feeling, beautiful nature and peace - this is the place! Katherine and her partner were so lovely and accommodating, we really felt like at home. Enjoyed nice campfires at night, and beautiful starry skies. Our daughter loved seeing the chicken, sheep and horsies whom grazed the fields and area. Hereford is just a stone throws away and so many beautiful walks, villages and National Trust properties to visit nearby. Thank you so much!

Beautiful, peaceful and natural campsite. We went with 2 children who enjoyed everything the area had to offer. Katherine was so welcoming and helpful and we enjoyed visiting her animals too

Site had a beautiful sunrise. Due to the wind, we chose to camp in the ancient woodlands, but due to the rain and steep terrain, our cars were bogged. Owner didn’t contact us after txts, we contacted someone locally (and paid them) to have the cars removed. The site was just too steep for cars, even a 4wd would’ve struggled without mud tires. Should not allow cars on there after any such weather. Site is also very sloped so large tents, and beds, would be tricky. Had to hike all stuff back to car, owners helped with that which was lucky. Steep downhill and steep uphill, probably close to 400+metres, and needed a few trips. Probably nice for hikers/bikers and small tents, or in the summer for a 4wd roof tent. Went for a hunt for fire pit and none found. Also no picnic tables, unless you count the one near the farmhouse. Very dark at night. Made for great stargazing, but a walk to the loo would be treacherous.

Peaceful site, and very friendly and welcoming hosts. No WiFi, but 4G was good enough to hotspot for online meetings in the lower field. Katherine allowed us to gather fire wood from the forest, recommend bringing an axe if you have one.

Excellent, quiet pitch in beautiful Herefordshire. Katherine was welcoming and all the amenities were great. Communication was clear and Kathy was around to help with questions. Just a stones throw from walks along the Wye River and a short drive from Hereford.
