Welcome to The Landing at Index - located on the South Fork Skykomish River, in the western foothills of the Cascade Mountains, off of Highway 2. With 16 acres of beautiful, private woods and breathtaking views of Mt. Index, this is a wonderful getaway to kick back and relax after your day of adventures, or just to escape the city rush. This is a gated property, protected with a code, which you will be sent 24 hours before your arrival. The campsites are at the bottom of a long logging road so an SUV or AWD vehicle are preferable , especially during the wetter seasons. When the property was logged approximately 100 years ago they scooped out gravel from the river to make their roads in the area thus creating the back eddy pool along the beach. A rather peaceful setting, including the rushing sound of the river and the occasional whistle of a train. You will feel refreshed and rejuvenated after you stay at The Landing. Pets are welcome, there are private outhouses at each campsite. These outhouses are protected with a code, which is sent to you 24 hours before your arrival. Campfires are allowed (when burn bans are not in place).

We have 20 spacious sites on 70 acres, bordered by the Cowlitz River in Randle, WA. We are centrally located between Mt. Rainier, Mt. St. Helens, and Mt. Adams. Since we are not open for public entry, you can feel safe leaving your camp set up while you take day excursions. We have dry camping ONLY. There is a spigot for water at the gate, but no water or electricity hookups at any of the sites. We welcome individual campers as well as groups. Many of our sites will hold 20-30 people, all in one site area. We can also accommodate much larger groups.... AMENITIES/THINGS TO DO: -There is a communal bunkhouse on property available to guests with a flushable toilet and a hot water shower. It also includes a kitchenette and we welcome you to use any of the kitchen/cookware and appliances. Our 2 French Bulldogs also stay in this building but they love humans and all the attention you can give them! -We have a wellness yurt with well equipped gym that is available to use as an add-on. -There is an infrared sauna that can sit up to 3 people located next to the yurt accompanied by a cold plunge as an add-on. -You are welcome to wander around the entire property and grab fruit daily from the trees when in season or have us get you farm fresh eggs from the coop to eat for breakfast. -Say hello to the animals (sheep, goats, chickens, piggy, cats and dogs) or go for a walk/run around the countryside roads with walking/running/biking adventures available to you along the beautiful and paved Foothills Trail extending 21 miles from Buckley to Puyallup. -Communal fire pit areas with picnic table and chairs available when fire ban is not in effect. There is one close to the communal kitchen area, one closer to the field by the barn, and we have a moveable metal one which we can transport to your camp spot if preferred. We sell a milkcrate full of wood for $10 if needed. -WIFI is available closer to the communal area. LOCATION: 2 miles from downtown Buckley with Blue Max Meats and the Rainier Fresh Country Store for a quick trip down the road for groceries and less than 15 minute drive to Enumclaw with more restaurant options available and Bonney Lake also 15 minutes away with Costco, Fred Meyers etc.

Offering a lovely, personal campsite area surrounded by beautiful trees nestled in the back of a ranch with horses (and chickens) just on the outskirts of the small, charming town of Yelm. (In some of the pictures you will see the horses in the area of the camp, but whenever there are campers they will not be turned out there.) There is 20 amp electric (which can safely power a 30 amp rv unless you run too many things at once) and water (hose). There is a porta-potty and a shower shed with a tankless water heater for your convenience. We also offer the option of a small bunk room in the barn. Heated and cooled (fan) with a small "kitchen" area, it has a pull out futon which sleeps 2 and requires you supply your own bedding and towels. 1 Hour to Mt. Rainier National Park. 1 1/2 hours to Olympia National Park. 2 1/2 hours to Mt. St. Helens. 1 hour to Seattle. Close to Puget Sound and loads of nature spots. Local hiking and fishing aplenty. Our property is surrounded by nature, yet only a 5 minute drive into town where you will find charming shops, restaurants, cafes and coffee houses. There is also a fabulous movie theater. And only 15 minutes to the Red Wind Casino. There is a railroad track next to the property, but it is only used on Tues. and Thurs. between 10 am and 1 pm when a short train passes by and then returns. Rarely, it may have an additional passing but not often and it has never run after dark or early morning. (It is a military train so pretty punctual). (Also, as we are only a 5 acre property, we are close enough to roads that you may hear some traffic. They are county roads though and not highly traveled for the most part.) **Trigger Warnings: We are near the military base of JBLM and so you will occasionally hear their military doings. Country neighbors occasionally do some target practice, so you may hear some shooting. As we are a horse property, we will also require that everyone sign a release of liability waiver and will require all adults to show legal ID upon arrival. * We require a completed profile with a picture before we accept a booking.

This is a gorgeous park-like RV campground situated between the trees of the arboretum. No tents, please. Also we have NO public restrooms. Beautiful view of the mountains and forests here in western Washington. We are close to Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier and several lakes. There are walking trails all around the site. The 12 acre campground is located on a 136 acre property that is an active Christmas tree farm. Trails continue throughout the tree farm. Many trails have a view of the Tilton River, which can be reached via a challenging 3/4 mile trail. Sites are on 10 acres planted with many different species of trees that are about 30 years old. Giant Redwoods, Cedars, and Maples are just a few of the varieties present. Part of the farm is still a working Christmas tree farm. The trails are wide and grassy. The old logging road that we use as a trail to the river has an elevation change of about 500 feet, the trail can be quite challenging. Bear Creek empties into the Tilton river at the end of the trail. There is an ART GALLERY where you can learn to pound flowers, see the host's artwork and get a cup of coffee! This is upstairs above the shop, right on the property. Tilton River Studio Gallery. Three sites have electrical hookups. Every site has a water spigot (use a pressure regulator if you want to hook up). No restrooms or sewer hookups. Garbage disposal site available Memorial Day to Labor Day. The place has been farmland since about 1926. It became a family horse property with three pastures and now is a small lavender and blackberry farm. While it is limited to two RV sites, there may be farm visitors walking around the area. Tall cedars and fir remain in the back of the property and provide for a forest experience. It is not a commercial campground. We are now turning it into a small lavender farm. About half of the original pasture is now covered in black ground mat and 3,000 newly planted lavender. Learn more about this land: One acre pasture for dry RV camping (no restroom facilities). There is a potable water/hose bib and an auxilliary 110 volt 15 amp AC connection via extension cord from barn. You should rely primarily on your own power. Walking trails are in cedar trees and on hill across 10 acres with flower fields and blackberry "farm". Free blackberry picking in season (August and Early September). Deer, racoons, foxes, bald eagles and occassional coyote on site. Keep food and trash secure. No toilet or sewer available. There is one portable "porta potty" type facility. Dry camping only, no camp fires allowed due to fire conditions. Pack out own trash/garbage. No Pets allowed. Only visible neighbors are three horses on neigboring 10 acre farm property. There is Wi-Fi. Beach access has been closed.

Heated and cooled (fan) with a small "kitchen" area, it has a pull out futon which sleeps 2 and requires you supply your own bedding and towels. 1 Hour to Mt. Rainier National Park. 1 1/2 hours to Olympia National Park. 2 1/2 hours to Mt. St. Helens. 1 hour to Seattle. Close to Puget Sound and loads of nature spots. Local hiking and fishing aplenty. Our property is surrounded by nature, yet only a 5 minute drive into town where you will find charming shops, restaurants, cafes and coffee houses. There is also a fabulous movie theater. And only 15 minutes to the Red Wind Casino. There is a railroad track next to the property, but it is only used on Tues. and Thurs. between 10 am and 1 pm when a short train passes by and then returns. Rarely, it may have an additional passing but not often and it has never run after dark or early morning. (It is a military train so pretty punctual). (Also, as we are only a 5 acre property, we are close enough to roads that you may hear some traffic. This is a gorgeous park-like RV campground situated between the trees of the arboretum. No tents, please. Also we have NO public restrooms. Beautiful view of the mountains and forests here in western Washington. We are close to Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier and several lakes. There are walking trails all around the site. The 12 acre campground is located on a 136 acre property that is an active Christmas tree farm. Trails continue throughout the tree farm. Many trails have a view of the Tilton River, which can be reached via a challenging 3/4 mile trail. Sites are on 10 acres planted with many different species of trees that are about 30 years old. Giant Redwoods, Cedars, and Maples are just a few of the varieties present. Part of the farm is still a working Christmas tree farm. The trails are wide and grassy. The old logging road that we use as a trail to the river has an elevation change of about 500 feet, the trail can be quite challenging. Bear Creek empties into the Tilton river at the end of the trail. There is an ART GALLERY where you can learn to pound flowers, see the host's artwork and get a cup of coffee! This is upstairs above the shop, right on the property. Tilton River Studio Gallery. Three sites have electrical hookups. 2 nights at Country Refuge Close to City
We had a wonderful experience staying at Traci and Khris's property. All the communications after we made the reservation were clear and directions and instructions simple. Traci was there to check us in and help get set up. The property is beautiful and quiet with horses and chickens nearby. We stayed there in our travel trailer while doing a kitchen remodel nearby but look forward to going back when we can relax under the beautiful trees around the firepit! Definitely recommend!!

Traci and Khris's bunk room stay was amazing! My bicycle-touring dog and I loved how well this room was set up for us during our short bicycle tour of sothern Thurston County. We will definitely be coming back again to see what it is like to bicycle-camp here during the summer time. 😁🐶

This was our second time staying at Steve and Starla’s campsite! The property is spacious and well kept, also close to the Mt. Rainier park entrance. Although the weather this time was not ideal, our group had a great time during our trip. Thank you to Steve for suggesting site 2 which is a little higher ground and surrounded by trees to keep us a little drier during our stay. The hosts were able to answer any questions we had in a timely manner. Overall I would highly recommend this campsite. Thank you again for hosting us and wish you well in the future!

Staying at the Sweetheart Cabin was the PERFECT autumn weekend getaway! It was stormy and rainy outside a lot of the time, but that just made the cozy cabin even better with the wood stove, string lights, candles, and blankets. The cabin as well as communal spaces were clean and everyone was so kind. Loved the site, will say be on the lookout though on wild animals as we had an overnight visit from some coyotes so keep that in mind for small animals if off leash. Only con is mainly a 1 way road once in property so when we arrived there was another vehicle trying to leave so caused some issues. Overall beautiful and clean worth the trip over!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Sweetheart Cabin for a night during our first trip to rainier and it was excellent! Khohay was super friendly and talkative and an amazing host. The cabin was super comfortable and cozy. We heard elk at night too which was super cool! Definitely recommend for anyone trying to escape the city and explore Rainier and the surrounding nature.

Beautiful, well thought out, and clean space that had everything one needs to create beautiful memories with friends and families. The whole property is gorgeous with stunning views. The fire pit was so lovely especially on a rainy day, and so nice to have items provided for smores as well. Loads of cards and board games. Would stay here again and recommend 10/10!

Great little stay. Camp is equipped with a covered outdoor kitchen with potable water faucet from a well, and grill, utensils, plates, etc. The actual tent site I stayed at was great too, there are two comfortable sleeping pads in the tent. Would recommend using again.

This will be an odd review because I have not been to the site yet. I made a reservation for earlier in September but then had difficulty getting my van back from an up fitter. I could not make my previously paid for reservation, but Barb has been absolutely terrific!! I stayed in touch with her and let her know what my troubles were and she has been an angel. I will be getting there within the next three days, Lord willing, and I am certain beyond any doubt that my stay there will be extra extraordinary. These are class ass people.
