This was our first real trip as newbie motorhomers. We had a lovely couple of days between Christmas and New Year. Site was busy but still peaceful. Hosts keep an eye on things and are more than happy to help if required. Hassle free booking. Plenty of space between pitches and plenty of room on pitches. The facilities are good and kept spotless. There are short or long walking tours to Castle Howard and a lovely walk along the lakeside. Take your walking boots as not really suitable for trainers.
Take extra hookup cables as it can be a long way to ehu points.

Received a very warm welcome to our numbered & reserved pitch. A lovely quiet site, fantastic facilities lovely clean and hot showers and toilets. So quiet at night, we stayed in our campervan on an electric gravel pitch, really enjoyed our (1 night) stay. Castle Howard is generally beautiful also!

We had a hard standing pitch for our campervan. The electric point was a little far for our hookup, but they provided an extension at reception not problem. Great location. Great stay.

Great location for some lovely walks - the cafe at Castle Howard is dog friendly with plenty of seating so a good port of call. The site was quiet and staff helpful - would stay again.

A lovely small campsite with plenty of space. Facilities were clean and not overcrowded washing up had hot water and there was a freezer for ice packs too. Showers were hot too and a good pressure. Signal was not as bad as we’d been led to believe 4G could be found in the camping field although not in the facility block. A really nice place to stay and well worth checking out Castle Howard itself while you’re there, fascinating place.

The absolute best of everything, whether you are on grass or hardstanding, a beautiful site in the grounds of Castle Howard.
Plenty of space too, although we were here on a Sunday, already booked to come back later this week.
Value for money as it used to be twenty years ago before the sites became too commercial and expensive.

Lovely place, onsite shop is rather expensive and has limited hours. Only other pet peeve was the crows, were talking 20+ crows all cawing late at night and again from around 4am in the morning, had to sleep with ear plugs both nights and still got awoken by them.

Sensational location, the camp site is super clean and flat. We were last minute booker and needed to leave early, we are keen to return again to stay longer and explore the estate and chill out at the camp site.
