We have just 3 tents in 2.5acres, we want our guests to enjoy the peace and privacy of a rural getaway but have the luxuries of a comfy bed, toilets and showers, a kitchenette and a private fire pit. We are nestled between family farms and surrounded by sheep, cattle and footpaths, so an adventure is at your doorstep. If you’re lucky, you’ll catch at least one of the breathtaking sunsets at Red Sky at Night Campsite near Monmouth. If not, there’s always a stunning view of rolling hills all around. At night, the skies become a dazzling canvas of stars under one of Wales' official Dark Sky Reserves. This family-run camping field on our laid-back livestock farm is full of rustic charm. Pitch wherever feels right—tent or camper van. Dogs welcome but must always be kept on a lead and cleaned up after (dog waste bin on site, otherwise we are a leave no trace site and you should take your rubbish home with you). This year, we’re introducing the “Missing Camper Trail” hidden in the woodland—can you find Colin? You’ll also find a new zip line and a slackline for adventurers big and small. Mud Café and den building are still here, along with teddy bears scattered through the woods—no official trail, just hidden friends to find. Also new this season - a handcrafted washing-up area built by Farmer Ben from wood right off our farm. Coming soon: We’re hoping for showers this season, but we’ll update when they’re up and running. Wild camping here means no electricity—just two lovely compost loos and a covered cold-water tap. So bring your guitar, light a fire, and soak up the simplicity... The way camping was intended.

It was a wonderful hideaway next to the river. So peaceful and relaxing. We brought our two spaniels who were in heaven running around. The kitchen was nifty and great for us to make breakfast and dinner. The yurt was cozy and clean. The outhouse was also nice and shower section.

This place is a gem. It’s in the forest, super peaceful, and the pitches are literally 3 steps from the water. I’m not exaggerating you could fish from your tent. Really easy to find too, which is great because my sense of direction is about as reliable as a chocolate teapot. And if you’re the type to forget tent pegs, gas, or, I don’t know, actual food like me, the shop’s only 5 mins away. Saved my bacon. Literally I forgot bacon. The river and the owls double as white noise during the night drowning out anything else. Slept like a rock.

Such a fab place to spend a few days. Absolutely beautiful. Loved the river and the facilities are just what I need. Also loved the addition of a kettle (for mornings so cold my stove wouldn’t work!), microwave and fridge freezer. Also plugs so you can charge phones etc. Lovely clean toilet and shower block. I’ll definitely be back!

Great campsite for easy walk into Knighton. Clean facilities. Hot showers, fridge and freezer and washing up areas. Didn't like the noise of the railway. Also didn't like the bird sing song in the morning. But what do you expect when you're in the countryside! But they're the only negatives. So a very good campsite otherwise.

Nice piece of land with a wild camp feel. I met Dave when I arrived, he seemed like a lovely chap. The field will be muddy when wet so if you’re in a van beware. I chose to spend my second night on the hard standing as it was very wet and I’m glad I did. Even if I avoided getting stuck I would have churned up the ground pretty badly Lots of fire pits dotted around which was really convenient for a camp fire Really convenient location for Brecon and surrounding areas
