Myself and my friend stayed at Knotted roots and it was an amazing stay. Just what I was looking for when I was searching for wild camping camp sites. The orchard has pares and apples that you can pick and eat which were actually quite nice, and the hosts where lovely too. Definitely going back there again some time soon.
Also a disclaimer, it is advertised as wild camping so not all the ground is going to be level and flat.

We booked two pitches for two families because the listing promised peaceful, spacious, eco-friendly camping. Unfortunately, the site was nothing like described, and we had to leave without staying.
On arrival it wasn’t clear where pitches were. We had to drive off to find signal and call the hosts. Rich showed us around, said only one area could be used — as far from the toilet as possible — then walked us partway along a convoluted route, pointed out the toilet in the distance, took us back to the single pitch, and left.
The ground was lumpy and cramped, squeezed between apple trees beside a fast road. The toilet was over 6 minutes’ walk away by an unsafe, unmarked path, and the covered area/pizza oven shown online seemed for glamping guests only.
We’re experienced campers who often choose rustic eco-sites and don’t mind compost toilets or walking — but this wasn’t described as wild camping. Hazardous access, road proximity, and lack of level ground made it unsuitable for family tents.
We left without unpacking, drove 1.5 hours home, and had to find another site for 2 tents for a week in peak August season in good weather.
Bottom line: The listing doesn’t match reality. This is essentially wild camping with uneven pitches and distant facilities. Families with tents should be warned. It ruined our summer holiday. We request a refund.

The place was quiet, despite the fact that there were several tents. It is a large orchad, we could choose where to pitch. The hosts were very nice, friendly, they live in a very inspiring way and were always very helpful.

This was a lovely, lovely site on a giant orchard full of apples, pears, persimmons, brambles, peacocks, birds of prey, all sorts of great nature. Brianne and Rich were great hosts and we would totally recommend knotted roots to anyone!

Thank you Rich & Brianney for sharing your beautiful land with us, we had the best time. Such a peaceful and unique little spot for camping. We loved being nestled amongst the orchard, hearing all the different birds singing in the trees and cooking pizzas in the cob oven. Highly recommend and can't wait to come back.

The 4 of us has a great time at Knotted Routes orchard camping!
We had an amazing stay and the hosts were great!! The orchard is beautiful and rustic in a quiet and beautiful area - we did a lovely walk to Ludlow through the countryside on one lf the days!
Highlight of the trip being the Pizza Oven; all setup for us, we brought our own toppings, they tasted amazing!
Certainly a back to basics camping trip, which was perfect for us!

The site was very peaceful (we were the only ones there).
It felt very relaxed.
We had great fun attempting to make some pizzas in the pizza oven.
And it was nice to be able to sit round a fire pit in the evenings.
Would definitely consider staying again.

What a magical little spot! Was so lovely to be surrounded by nature and felt very secluded. The sunset swing was our favourite!! We had such a lovely experience and everything was perfect. Just wished we could have stayed longer but we will most definitely be back!

What a site, a million miles away from your standard campsite. There’s so much to explore in a beautiful setting. The hosts were Incredibly friendly and went out of their way for me wherever they could. The site has so much to offer, communal kitchens, pitches tucked away in and around the orchard trees. Secret sitting areas. I think it’s incredible and can’t wait to come again.

We went as a group of 8 and the space was pretty much perfect for us!
We were in the middle of an apple orchard, and the owners met us as we arrived to let us know we could pick out a spot anywhere we wanted. Worth noting that you're camping between rows of an orchard so the space is quite long and thin, but that worked well for our group.
There's a compost loo a few minutes walk away and a communal firepit nearby. We wanted to be able to sing around the firepit without disturbing other guests, so the owners let us move the firepit to another spot where we wouldn't disturb anyone, which was really helpful.
The pizza oven was brilliant - well worth the price for good tasty pizza. Rich showed us exactly how to use it then left us to our own devices so it was a fun experience between our group to cook all the pizza. By the 8th pizza the oven was cooling down a little bit so if anyone else uses the oven, it's worth being quicker than we were!
There's a couple of good hiking routes nearby, and a town with a Tesco and some pubs a 20min walk away.
The owners have a few dogs which roam around the orchard, but they're small and no bother at all - apart from being very interested in your bacon 😂
All in all, great site, friendly and helpful owners, really accomodating and made us feel welcome :):)

It was a happy place, in the orchard being allowed to take nature in, listening to all the different birds, watching the butterflies, seeing wildflowers. Being in a natural environment, camping as if should be, allowed to find a spot to camp, allowed to light a bbq or fire, and be in nature, peaceful and tranquil, we biked into tenbury wells, and the neighbouring villages,
If you want a get away it’s just beautiful, the host were friendly and helpful, we didn’t need a lot, but I’m sure they would have been there if we needed anything.
