We are a small basic 7 acre campsite in the Shropshire hills between the long mynd and the stipperstones great for wild camping. So offers great walks and mountain biking. Carding Mill Valley is just a short drive which is great place for exploring and playing in the streams or wild swimming in the reservoir. It is a simple site with toilets showers and we have a canteen with a kettle, fridge, microwave, tables and chairs, sink area and power. The campsite is on the side of a hill but there are pleanty of flat areas to pitch up. The campsite has lovely views of the surrounding area. We do allow fire's and can supply fire pits and wood. We have an undercover area which can be used as cover from rain, this area also has a pool table. We allow tents, caravans, motor homes, although dont have electric hookups. We can allow group bookings. We use the site for a festival once a year and the stage is a permanent structure as is the bar and medic cabins, these will not affect your stay in anyway just making you aware they are there.

A fantastic place to camp. The facilities were great the welcome was lovely and the views amazing. Will definitely be back for a longer stay. Linda and hubby were very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. The facilities were clean and modern. The directions were clear and easy to follow. We enjoyed the fire pit and listening to the owls late into the evening. Will recommend to anyone looking to visit the area, and the eggs were delicious too.

Myself and my friend stayed at Knotted roots and it was an amazing stay. Just what I was looking for when I was searching for wild camping camp sites. The orchard has pares and apples that you can pick and eat which were actually quite nice, and the hosts where lovely too. Definitely going back there again some time soon. Also a disclaimer, it is advertised as wild camping so not all the ground is going to be level and flat.

We have just come back from a campervan 2 night trip to Panpwnton Campsite. We had a lovely time, it was very quiet as we were the only ones staying…. Probably due to the weather! This meant we got a great spot right next to the river which was perfect. The facilities were good. The location was great. We did a walk straight from the site on to part of Offa Dykes path and along to the Knuclas viaduct, great views along the way. We had thought we might get the train back just for fun, but they don’t run very often (would have been a 2hr wait) so walked back instead. Site also easy walking distance to the local pub for an evening meal which was good too. Very Dark walk back that evening meant for some great star gazing:-)

Brilliant campsite. I was camping there alone but felt very comfortable. Lovely field to camp in, beautiful views around the farm in the morning, great building to chill out in, useful facilities to store and heat food. Also loved the honesty shop with delicious pastries. Ian was very helpful with recommending local walks, and checked in throughout stay. Would love to visit again next year!

Panpwnton Farm is a lovely campsite. Very clean toilets and wash up facilities. I didn't use the showers as I only stayed a couple of nights, however they were spacious. I will definitely be returning for a longer stay. It's a lovely walk from the campsite to Knighton, alongside the river. Trains do pass right along the side of the site but it didn't bother me or my dog. Easy access to Offa's Dyke.

Just returned for an amazing weekend escape here. Vanessa was very responsive with my enquiries prior to booking. The location is completely out of the way with some amazing views of the surrounding hills. Directions provided were perfect and plenty of easy to follow signs up to the camping fields. We stopped in the woodlands pitch and it truly gave the completely disconnected from the rest of the world which was needed for a few days. Vanessa, her partner and Son were on hand if we needed anything as well as popping to see us to make sure we were ok. Will definitely be back again to utilise the amazing space on offer here. Definitely as described, and would have been absolutely gorgeous if the weather was amazing: beautiful view, fire pit and barbecue, just imagine! The weather was a bit wet and windy for us, but we still had a lovely two night stay and basically had the place to ourselves. Toilets and showers great, the little pub so nice and the farm shop an added extra. We really valued the commitment to recycling and zero waste and everyone we spoke to was super friendly. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful night wild camping at Treflach Farm. From the moment we arrived, the owner made us feel incredibly welcome, friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about sharing the farm’s beautiful surroundings. The facilities were outstanding, spotlessly clean, thoughtfully designed, and far better than you’d expect for a wild camping experience. Everything felt well cared for, which made our stay both comfortable and memorable. It’s such a peaceful spot, with lovely views and a relaxed atmosphere that really lets you switch off and enjoy nature. We left feeling refreshed and already planning when we can come back. Highly recommend!
