Nestled beside the village of Painters Forstal, Faversham, Kent. Our two acre orchard site with grass pitches. The campsite lies within seventeen acres on the slope of The Kent Downs, a designated area of natural beauty. The Alma ale house at the edge of the farm serves Shepherds Neame and hot meals all year round. Two acre quiet cherry orchard site based around a Tudor Manor house 1547 that gives its name to our village. Surrounded by orchards and open countryside but within easy reach of Faversham, Whitstable and Canterbury. Pitches for tents, campervans, motorhomes and touring caravans with or without electric hook up on a level grassy site. Pets are welcome and a crew member is always around the reception or farm to help out. The Campsite is open from 1st march until 31st October. The local area is awash with things to do. Faversham once the busiest port in 17th century England for its wool trade has the longest complete medieval street in the country. A wealth of little shops, cafes and pubs as well as the country’s oldest family owned brewery Shepherd Neame. Whitstable sitting just along the coast, famed for its Oysters and Sunsets is a fun beachside community bustling in the summer months and hauntingly bleak in the winter ones. The World Heritage sites of Canterbury are just a fifteen minute trip away with all its well documented history and plentiful shops and eateries.

A rural getaway doesn’t have to involve a long drive or lots of winding lanes to negotiate – and an excellent example of this is Beech Farm, in the West Sussex countryside about five minutes’ drive from Billingshurst. This site is about a mile and a half from the nearest A road, half an hour’s drive from the A3 and M23, and about 45 minutes from Junction 9 of the M25. All of that adds up to a quick-to-reach destination for residents of London and most of the South East, as well as easy access for those coming from further afield. This is a fairly simple site with just essential facilities (toilet block, rubbish area and chemical disposal point), but it’s all well maintained. It’s a laidback place where families, dogs and groups are all welcome, but please note that campfires and barbecues are not allowed for safety reasons. Bed down here and you’ll be in an excellent spot for all sorts of days out – the site is just outside the South Downs National Park for scenic walks and bike rides, and within easy reach of Chichester (40 minutes), the Goodwood Estate (35 minutes) and the beaches of the south coast (half an hour). It's a tiny Wild Camping site with no running water, toilets or showers. What Noakes Meadow does have is plenty of space for you to enjoy and camp fires are definitely allowed. A wheelbarrow of fire wood can be purchased for £10 Cash/Paypal/Bank Transfer on arrival. This site is far away from the madding crowds though close to the M20 and A20 for easy access. A mere 10-minute stroll along the road is a fab 16th-century country inn for food and pints. On the other hand you could always fire up a barbie and sizzle some sausages or grab a take away from the chippie 7 minutes away in the nearby village of Lenham. This wild camping site operates a leave no trace policy so be prepared to bag up and take everything with you when you leave.

During the summer our site is a popular spot for families and campers visiting nearby Camber Sands sandy beach and year round we welcome all different types of campervan, motorhome and caravan. We look forward to welcome you to our little slice of paradise. Please note our strict 'no group' policy - we only accept single families, single couple and single campers. No more than 2 adults in any group, even on separate pitches. Please bring your acoustic guitar or similar but, as this is a quiet site, please no radios, stereos or videos unless you're using headphones. The birdsong here is incredible by the way! Very wet weather and winter – please note in the off-season, and if very wet, the camping field is closed to vehicles, replaced instead by semi-hardstanding areas or our summer car-park area. Facilities are open but please be prepared for the vagaries of the weather, leaves, puddles and mud. To change pitch please let us know asap so that we can try if possible to find you another. Apart from the car-park, pitches can get very muddy in prolonged, heavy rain. If you are not prepared for these eventualities please do not book.

I spent a peaceful weekend here relaxing with my dog and a campfire. The directions are clear and there is plenty of space. It has the basics and does them well, an eco composting toilet and hot shower both well-maintained and clean. There is an airfield nearby and an occassional biplane, spitfire and air balloon went overhead. Something upset the Big Cats in the nearby sanctuary one night and there was lots of roaring , a cut above the usual wildlife noises 😆.

We first came in June on our way to a family wedding and stayed again for our son’s birthday weekend in September, on our way to the brilliant Butser Ancient Farm. It’s a special spot, great views of the surrounding countryside, beautiful woodlands all around and totally secluded - with the added bonus this time of a couple of friendly horses in the neighbouring field. Amazing to have the whole place to ourselves. We’ll be back!

Had a very enjoyable quiet night's stay. Was mid-week off season, so the site was very quiet. Had a friendly welcome from Phil, the facilities were great and we enjoyed the pony and goats wandering around the field. Had a starry evening and heard an owl in the night. Woke up to a greater spotted woodpecker in an adjacent tree. The state gave us exactly what we were looking for from our stay

Brilliant secluded spot, so quiet you'd forget there's a nursery right behind. Footpaths lead straight from the site into Ditchling, where there are some lovely pubs. Facilities are basic, but that's perfect as long as you know what you're getting into. Great value for the price, fantastic host. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We loved our weekend stay here. The site is really tucked away. We were in the clearing, adult only area - 6 massive pitches, extremely quiet, lots of birdsong (especially tawny owls at night). Lots of walks nearby. Other campers respectfully quiet. Compost loo’s (although trailer loo’s in operation when we went) rustic and hot showers, nestled in the hedge so could see all the blue tits whilst getting changed, which was lovely. Just our kind of place, all recycling and composting offered. If you want quiet, nature, walking, or cycling, no fuss, eco then this is for you.

Wonderful stay at this rustic retreat! The hot tub was easy to use, super comfortable bed, and (very) nearby pub was delicious - even a free community curry night one evening. We were also able to charge our phones at the pub and send a quick text since the site didn't have sockets/cell service (not a bad thing just something to note)! Unlimited wood and quick responses from Duncan made this an extremely smooth-sailing glamping retreat! Extremely private-feeling as well. Will definitely return for another needed city escape :)

Pitches are well spaced out. Each have a fire pit and a QR code that you can use to order from them shop (I didn’t try it out). I don’t know if I was using the right toilets as there was only one block but no signs for anything else. We were only there a night but would definitely come back.
