Set in an utterly breathtaking ancient landscape, your horizons will be vast! Spacious grass pitches with a small nearby carpark and wheelbarrows for transport to keep the camping meadow like a meadow.. and then the Skyline Cabin which has the perfect blend of luxury with back to basics.. The campsite supports the 1000-year-old Chantry Farm in the South Downs National Park on Wolstonbury Hill with 3 listed Bronze Age earthworks. There are some lovely local pubs, the Plough has a great range of food and is a short walk. Ditchling is nearby with real history (see Anne of Cleves house) and some super talented Artist Open Houses in Sept. Brighton and the beach is a short drive or cycle away. The bus service is fine and now includes Sundays so enjoy the city with its quirky independent shops if that's your thing. There's a perfect circular 45 min walk - see our map plus a Zen washing experience guide - welcome to freshly laundered flannels and piping hot water Preservation of this precious chalk grassland with its outrageously abundant summer meadow flowers is a priority for us. See the orchids in July.. Welcome guests who share that appreciation. We also care about food security and planted a top fruit orchard with walnuts and cobnuts too! Nature spontaneously provides blackberries, sloes.. which are shared. The Barn Owl have their own boxes (although they still enjoy the big barn) and skylarks sing high above the tussocky terrain. Come join them! Even if your singing isn't so good.

We are a pop-up campsite, which means we are open most weekends during the summer with some longer stints at the beginning and at the end of our season. CAMPFIRES We love campfires and see them as an integral part of the camping experience. Campfires bring people together at the end of the day, to cook, socialise and relax. The smell of the wood smoke at twilight and the excitement on the kids faces when the marshmallows come out are bound to set you up for a perfect night away from the city lights! We sell crates of firewood, and hire fire pits for you to use during your stay. MUSIC The Lower Fields are for quiet camping. We would like it to be the perfect place for children to sleep and adults to chitchat around the campfires. On the Upper Field and near the Centre Camp we do allow you to listen and enjoy any music. But please respect your fellow campers! We want everybody to be able to enjoy their weekend without being disturbed. We ask for quiet across the whole site from 11.30pm. Overall we are quite a sociable site, with things happening at center camp every weekend. and a public campfire to sit around for a few mins after your sauna. We have a great area for large family groups. We pride ourselves on helping new campers get the most out of the experience come and hay hello at center camp.

Very friendly, lovely area, great amenities, if travelling on foot enter from the north of the property, rather than the hilly main road as there is no pavement. Put in RH19 4NB and walk up the field.

2 nights at Southwood Park Estate

We enjoyed our stay at The camp surroundings are well maintained, what I noticed is that no annoying flies buzzing around when sitting out and while cooking!. The host and people on site are very helpful and friendly. One night we needed help with lighting a camp fire and they were so quick to respond. The facilities in the camp are a bonus, if the weather is nice you won't get bored. Ladies toilets were okay my kids complained about the men's!!

Well kept site that I found very private and relaxing. Good location close to Brighton. The A23 detracts from the peaceful atmosphere but not so much that it spoils the experience.

Weekend Trip to Sunnyside Pop Up Camping

A beautiful gem. Easily accessible from the train station if you don’t fear a 30min walk. Had the lower field all to myself, but a 5min walk to the amazing sauna and toilets. The hosts were so welcoming (felt like spending time with family!) and guests very nice and considerate of others. You could easily mingle or have some time secluded depending on what you’re looking for. I’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful campsite with enough of a wild feel to feel remote, yet enough facilities that you feel comfortable. There’s a sauna! A nice hot sauna done properly, not like one in a gym. Wow, the sauna was lovely. Great green views across the hills. There was a nice lively atmosphere in the top field, and plenty of space if you fancied a quieter evening further down. A little pop up shop for essentials by the entrance, and the warmest campsite welcome from Heath and Katja. We slept well after our sauna!

Heath and Katja were very welcoming and helpful and it felt like they are building a lovely community at the site, respectful of the nature and of everyone’s experience. Just got back from a lovely night at Sunnyside Pop-Up Camping with my 2-year-old daughter and couldn’t be happier. It’s a beautiful, peaceful spot – surrounded by nature and mainly families, which gave it a really relaxed, safe atmosphere. The hosts were fantastic – friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. A perfect little escape, especially with young kids. Highly recommended!

Weekend Trip to Southwood Park Estate

Loved the camp vibe and the people are very welcoming and friendly. The campsite is very clean and things are there for everyone likeness to enjoy. The staff is very sweet to help. You just have to ask. Make sure to get your cooking equipments like if you want to cook near your tent. There is stove and fireplace. You can also use the open kitchen BBQ to cook if you want. Get yourself a camp chair if you want to sit comfortably outside next to the fireplace near your tent and an outdoor lamp Each camp is separated so you have ample privacy The camp area is beautifully designed and decorated which looks great during daytime. Breakfast is scrumptious and you can have food and drinks throughout the day in the restaurant. The campsite hosts are super nice and loves to take good care of their guests
