We are a small, family run, eco-friendly campsite in Chailey, set in a peaceful pocket of Sussex countryside.
Our uniqueness includes therapies offered on site, including massage, reiki and pellowah; our classes run on site, including yoga, and gong baths; the wide range of outdoor games we can provide; and our commitment to making your camping experience as pleasurable as possible. We also have a fantastic wood-fired sauna all day on Saturdays, a delicious pizza oven on Saturday evenings, and a coffee truck on weekend mornings!
We allow campfires and dogs, and for those who seek a little luxury in camping, we have spacious hot showers. We also have a number of beautiful Bell Tents available to hire, which we will put up for you prior to your arrival (min 2 nights).
Look our for our special weekends, including Star Parties, Yoga Retreats, Singing Circles and Wellness Weekends. We also have delicious wood-fired pizzas on Saturday evenings, and an artisan coffee trucks with superb pastries on weekend mornings 8-10am.

A great base for exploring the South Downs and all that West Sussex has to offer. For events at Goodwood or for walkers and cyclists on the South Downs Way, the site is also an ideal spot for escaping the crowds.
There are 20 non electric grass pitches onsite, each welcoming tents only. Each pitch allows up to six guests, with plenty of space for tents and gazebos with no extra charges other than on a per-person basis. Unloading is allowed by the pitches with parking in the designated car park.
Wake up to fantastic rural views and grab a bite to eat from the onsite cafe, which also serves a delicious cup of coffee. Days can be spent enjoying long walks in beautiful open countryside, exploring the charming nearby towns and villages, or down by the coast, only 25 minutes away.
In the evenings, guests can cook up a BBQ or relax by the campfire.
Please note, the site is dog free.

Weekend Trip to Foot of the Downs
Me and my partner stayed at Skylark pod and it was very nice, lovely scenic getaway for our anniversary. The bed was comfy and the shower was very good. The only issue was there was quite a lot of dust cobwebs around so it wasn’t as clean as we expected. The sofa is also very uncomfortable. Would recommend though.

Matt met us on arrival and helped carry our bags to the The Shepherds Hut which is well fitted out , nicely decorated , lovely and clean, and well equipped. Nice hot shower and towel rail. Electric fire and also a log burner should you need it for the cold weather,The bed was so so comfy and the oat biscuits and eggs were delicious !!
All windows had lovely views.

I loved the location and that their is loads of space to pitch your tent. It is really emmersed in nature, you wake up to the birds chirping and pheasants. I love that you can have a campfire and that they even supply the wood logs to you att a cost!
The evening sky was beautiful and the grass is lushes and green.
There are porta loos and sinks spaced out around the camping area with drinkable water but the showers are right near the car park, which is a bit of walk.
It rained when I was there but it didn't ruin my experience, it was quite nice being in my tent hearing the rain outside.
The cars are parked in the car park, once you have unloaded and set up.
I would definitely recommend Tania's place to stay.

Me and my partner stayed at Chalky downs for 2 nights for a little get away ✨. Sharen’s land is beautiful, everyone is so friendly and we even got to order a sausage bacon and egg bap with tea and coffee in the morning! ☀️. We went into Brighton town for a bit of shopping and to see the sea, only a 14 minute drive and we parked in the station car park 👏🏼. Would 100% recommend and will definitely be going back! After it rained, we were treated to a wonderful rainbow display.

We loved the setting, the camping field is surrounded by trees. We heard owls hooting at night. There is a small herd of fab Highland Cattle, a piggy wig and two cute goats.
Donna & Allen are very hospitable and the farm has been in Allen's family since the early 1800's.
We spent three days there in September...it was quiet and the perfect setting to relax and reset.

My recent glamping trip in a bell tent was absolutely great, perfectly blending tranquil nature with a comfortable double bed; soft blankets and pillows and the spacious and thoughtfully decorated bell tent ready and waiting for us. We were able to immediately relax and enjoy our surroundings. It was the perfect escape for anyone who has had a long week at work and loves camping with a touch of luxury.
The sun was shinning and it was wonderful to lie hammock! I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Lovely site, well spaced out pitches, deckchairs, bbqs and picnic tables provided, facilities clean and functional. There’s also a cafe on site and good walks through the woodland to local pubs.
My only issue was the background road noise but that can’t be helped given the location. It isn’t loud at all but hearing it does take away that feeling of being out in the countryside a little.
