We are a small basic 7 acre campsite in the Shropshire hills between the long mynd and the stipperstones great for wild camping. So offers great walks and mountain biking. Carding Mill Valley is just a short drive which is great place for exploring and playing in the streams or wild swimming in the reservoir. It is a simple site with toilets showers and we have a canteen with a kettle, fridge, microwave, tables and chairs, sink area and power. The campsite is on the side of a hill but there are pleanty of flat areas to pitch up. The campsite has lovely views of the surrounding area. We do allow fire's and can supply fire pits and wood. We have an undercover area which can be used as cover from rain, this area also has a pool table. We allow tents, caravans, motor homes, although dont have electric hookups. We can allow group bookings. We use the site for a festival once a year and the stage is a permanent structure as is the bar and medic cabins, these will not affect your stay in anyway just making you aware they are there.

We have just come back from a campervan 2 night trip to Panpwnton Campsite. We had a lovely time, it was very quiet as we were the only ones staying…. Probably due to the weather! This meant we got a great spot right next to the river which was perfect. The facilities were good. The location was great. We did a walk straight from the site on to part of Offa Dykes path and along to the Knuclas viaduct, great views along the way. We had thought we might get the train back just for fun, but they don’t run very often (would have been a 2hr wait) so walked back instead. Site also easy walking distance to the local pub for an evening meal which was good too. Very Dark walk back that evening meant for some great star gazing:-)

I have always loved Sweet Hill Farm. It’s a lovely relaxed campsite with sea views and amazing walks nearby. Also, being able to have a camp fire is fantastic. The showers are brilliant too. The only disappointment for me this year is that the compost loos have been replaced with horrible portaloos! Please bring back compost loos, they are so much nicer!

Really great site. Managed really well. Amazing spot in the woods and plenty of space between yourself and other campers. Firepits are provided and you can buy wood for fires if you need. There are some great walks nearby and plenty of stargazing! Would really recommend this site. Had a really wonderful weekend here. (There is a closing time of 7pm which is to be aware of and not being able to enter after that point so just something to be aware if traffic or travelling far after work.) The toilets, eco and flushing, were really good. Didn't use the showers so cant say!

This was my third visit this year and we pitched up in a different location to before. The choice of where you want to pitch up is endless and every area of the pitch gives you complete privacy with stunning views. If you have a dog then this pitch is perfect for them to enjoy open space. Peter and Celia are amazing hosts with great communication. The pitch is really easy to access and find, we were fine with our 7m camper. I highly recommend this Hipcamp.

Panpwnton Farm is a lovely campsite. Very clean toilets and wash up facilities. I didn't use the showers as I only stayed a couple of nights, however they were spacious. I will definitely be returning for a longer stay. It's a lovely walk from the campsite to Knighton, alongside the river. Trains do pass right along the side of the site but it didn't bother me or my dog. Easy access to Offa's Dyke.

1 night at Sweet Hill Farm

This was my first time camping here and I will definitely return again. Whilst SatNav got me most of the way, the directions on Hipcamp made the last little bit of the journey much easier. I was welcomed warmly at the well-stocked little cafe, and given a map to show my how to get to the field I pitched in. The tracks on-site are full of large potholes - so definitely something to be mindful of, especially if you have extremely low-suspension on your car! However, take it slow and easy and all is well here. I had the most amazing view, from where I pitched up, over to Portland Bill lighthouse. Both sunset and sunrise were stunning. Facilities here are extremely basic - but it’s enough for those that simply need to get away from life for a while and sleep under the stars without all the creature comforts of home. Of course, there is a place for being able to have all the mod-cons available, but this is camping the way it should be done! I wasn’t here long enough to speak to any of the other campers, but everyone seemed relaxed and there was no loud music or anything played into the night, meaning I could drift to sleep easily enough at the end of the day. Respect other campers: Be courteous to fellow campers and respect their privacy and space. Pets: If you bring pets, ensure they are well-behaved, kept on a leash or have impeccable recall, and cleaned up after. Do not allow your pet to enter another camper's space. Quiet time: Maintain quiet hours between 11pm and 7am. All music must stop by 10pm, and noise should be minimal after 11pm. Campfires: Penn Meadow Farm allows fires; please use existing scorched areas if possible rather than creating new ones. Never leave any fires unattended and ensure they are completely extinguished when finished. Wipe your feet prior to entering the Bell tents to remove any coal that may have become attached. Cars/vehicles: Cars and vehicles can be on the field but should move minimally and always under 5mph. Car stereos should not be used for music entertainment. Drugs and Alcohol: Drug use is prohibited, and violators will be asked to leave. Consume alcohol responsibly, and do not drive or move your vehicle after consuming alcohol. We do not typically book Large non-family groups unless they are seeking a calm and peaceful stay. These groups must have authorization prior to the visit.

We are a small basic 7 acre campsite in the Shropshire hills between the long mynd and the stipperstones great for wild camping. So offers great walks and mountain biking. Carding Mill Valley is just a short drive which is great place for exploring and playing in the streams or wild swimming in the reservoir. It is a simple site with toilets showers and we have a canteen with a kettle, fridge, microwave, tables and chairs, sink area and power. The campsite is on the side of a hill but there are pleanty of flat areas to pitch up. The campsite has lovely views of the surrounding area. We do allow fire's and can supply fire pits and wood. We have an undercover area which can be used as cover from rain, this area also has a pool table. We allow tents, caravans, motor homes, although dont have electric hookups. We can allow group bookings. We use the site for a festival once a year and the stage is a permanent structure as is the bar and medic cabins, these will not affect your stay in anyway just making you aware they are there.
