Set the edge of Exmoor, we have unrivalled coastal views, direct access to the South West Coast Path and Combe Martin bay is just a little walk away (perfect for paddle-boarding and dolphin spotting!).
Choose your pitch, settle down by a fire pit and watch the sun set across Combe Martin bay. With pizza’s available on some weekends, breakfast baguettes for breakfast and a selection of farm produce available - we have everything you could need, we are campervan friendly too.
With footpaths from the farm in all directions you can join the South West Coast Path or just ramble down to the village where there are shops, cafes and pubs a plenty.
With full flushing toilets and hot showers, as well as a washing up area, there is even an old railway carriage with electric plugs to charge your phone or dry your hair, with a fridge and freezer to look after your supper too.
We are a small site focusing on that quiet get-away. There is no road noise, just the farmer going about his day job, who’s more than happy to chat about the wildlife, birds and weather!

Our Yurt is set up in the trees giving you peaceful seclusion and a clear view across the sea to Wales and the mountains of the Brecon Beacons. The Yurt is big and sleeps up to four very comfortably. It has its own stove and outside is a washroom just for you with hot shower , toilet and sinks. Your own meadow allows you to just relax and be.
Up on the campfield you can bring your own tent or hire a Belle tent from us with all the fittings to camp contentedly. Our new Wash House has hot showers, flushing toilets and basins. You can light a fire and cook up a BBQ or maybe just watch the world go by.
A huge range of activities are possible or you can lie in the hammock with a good book. We have very friendly dogs and rescue chickens who may come and visit. Wild deer wander past in the early morning mist and the odd buzzard picks an argument with a bunch of crows but nothing much else should disturb you.
We moved here after an 18 month search 11 years ago. It was close to everything we wanted and we've spent some time getting a bit closer.

Or just spend your time in our main wild orchard, this is filled with old apple trees wild flowers and has the Copse all down one side and mature tree lines on all the other 3. It is split in 4 so you have your own slice to enjoy with privacy and the feeling of seclusion and never many people on site at a time.
We have Robins rest which is our relaxation and hot tub area, this space is in the heart of the Orchard with comfy undercover seating for you to totally unwind, bird watch and relax. A 3hr session here is an additional £45.
The whole site has been designed to allow you to disconnect from the outside world and technology, to slow down and enjoy taking some time to connect with nature, yourself, and others in your group.
We call it camping with a touch of luxury. Slader’s Rest sits right at the heart of the Mendips’ best walking and cycling country. Step out the gate and you’re moments from the Mendip Way - the 50-mile trail that runs the length of the Mendips - and onto the Strawberry Line, the traffic-free path that runs all the way to the sea. We also border Slader’s Leigh, a protected nature reserve and wildflower meadow, and sit beside King’s Wood, a National Trust ancient woodland. It’s about as good a base as you’ll find for exploring on foot or by bike - and you’re a 5-minute walk from a shop and 15-minute walk from a pub.
This is a small, owner-run site. Each pitch is private and named, set in our own wildflower meadow - not a flat, mown field, but ground with real character: it sits on an old Saxon boundary, with the natural dips and rises that come with it. We’ve found the flat spots and tucked a pitch into each one.
One thing worth knowing before you book: our eastern boundary runs alongside a main road, so if you’re looking for a site that’s totally silent, Slader's Rest might not be the best fit. The local area is a popular spot during the day, particularly at weekends and during school holidays - with so many walking and cycling routes converging nearby, there’s usually a steady flow of visitors to the surrounding woods and trails, though it quietens down in the evening.
We offer two furnished bell tents - Hawthorn and Apple - each with its own cooking area, plus a tent pitch for those bringing their own kit. Facilities are shared: two composting toilets, a hot shower, and a washing-up area. At weekends, walk over to our self-service coffee hut for a proper barista-style coffee.

We loved camping at Slader’s rest! The campsite was really well thought out, clean, tidy and had everything we needed. The location was great, with a really nice pub a short walk away, and the cycling routes were good, meaning we didn’t have to go on the main road. Ed the owner was friendly and very helpful, bringing us new freezer packs every day. The facilities were good with a lovely hot shower. We booked both tents so we had the whole site to ourselves which was great but it would also be ideal for 2 families going away together. The coffee hut was an added bonus too. All in all, a great stay! Would recommend.

We would definitely recommend staying here! The campsite was a great getaway, simple, but has everything you need - a really comfortable bed, a fire pit and also a cooking area with a stove and all you need to cook. The campsite is near a main road but this didn’t bother us at all, and it felt like a great escape, with lots to explore around the campsite and areas beyond. There are toilets and a great shower very close to the tents too. There is lots to explore along the old railway line that runs under the campsite, now footpath/ cycle track, with two villages a short walk in opposite directions. Ed, the host, was very friendly and accommodating, and we would certainly come back!

Andrea’s tent is a beautiful and comfortable stay with a stunning Purbeck view. It is immaculate and thoughtfully designed with everything you need. The bed is very comfortable, and it was handy to hire bedding and kitchen. The firepit is a nice touch. Shower/bathroom facilities are decent. We stayed and our friends were able to camp next to us. The campsite is quiet and well spaced out. Loved our stay - thank you!

If you're looking to relax and soak up nature this is a beautiful spot on the edge of the forest. We stayed in a Bell Tent with lovely extras with some nice fruit tea bags and sugar stir sticks. Everything looked brand new.
Very clean showers and toilet blocks - modern and fresh.
Nothing was too much trouble - don't normally camp but I would have been happy for a week with a good book but sadly could only stay one night :-(

We loved staying in one of the pre-pitched bell tents, so cosy and warm with very comfy beds! Warm shower and clean composting loo. Helpful little things like the - rechargeable lanterns for use and bottle lanterns when it got dark. A plus too, lots of kitchen ware and crockery.

I had the most amazing camping experience here after not camping for 10 years, and it couldn’t have been better! 🏕️ The view is absolutely stunning, and the bell tent was a great size – clean, comfortable, and really cosy. The toilets and showers are quite basic, but honestly perfect for this kind of stay.
The host was super helpful with excellent communication throughout, which made everything easy and stress-free. I especially loved the firepit, and wood was available, which made the evenings extra special. 🔥✨
Overall, this place exceeded my expectations and gave me the perfect return to camping. Highly recommended!

The glamping tents are cosy and spacious, the beds were incredibly comfortable and clean. The tents are well spaced out so there is privacy and peace. We had a BBQ and a firepit provided. Facilities were fabulous with a well-stocked kitchen and lovely hot shower. Excellent, friendly hosts. My teenage nieces and nephew loved it and well hopefully be back.

Nigel was very friendly and helpful and we loved his dog. The house of the owners is a beautiful, old building and adds a special atmosphere! Can recommend staying here!

Everyday frozen cooling elements are provided for the cool box. Great service! Lesley and Tony were super friendly and helpful. We had an absolutely fantastic time staying in the bell tent. We were already familiar with the field, having camped there with our own tent in the past. But it was so nice to just arrive and have everything set up, including really comfortable beds, particularly travelling with a young child. It makes life much easier. The tent is surprisingly spacious, so can imagine that even in bad weather it would be a really pleasant experience. Everything we needed was provided and the plug sockets were very handy for charging phones, etc. There were even extra blankets in case we got cold. The views are stunning, the toilet and shower facilities are very clean and well maintained. It is a great location for a family holiday, close to Corfe, Swanage and Studland. Andrea was an excellent host and incredibly helpful and responsive to messages before we arrived. I would wholeheartedly recommend the bell tent and look forward to returning in the future.

Rustic, peaceful vibes for a quiet break from life!
Quirky amenities but by no means in adequate, the host, Nigel was extremely welcoming and friendly.
Stayed in Sir Galahad bell tent, which had a large comfy bed and even though it was warm when arrived, once we had opened up the tent there was a lovely cool breeze and feeling at one with nature.
We had a quiet and secluded plot with our bench table and BBQs available although we’d brought our own and cooked a lovely steak from the local butchers only a few miles away in the quaint town of Chipping Sodbury.
Would Definately recommend for something different and peaceful.

Loved everything about the glamping at Lundy! Kitchen better equipped than most glamping experiences I've had- cooking oil, oatly milk, cafatiere, bbq and spare phone charger! My sons also did a 2 hour surf lesson and had an amazing experience on the waves! Loved falling asleep to the sound of the ocean. Recommend
