Herdwick Hut is a traditional shepherd’s hut in a private location at the end of the woodland walk which offers countryside views. The hut has a cosy double bed, table with stools and is heated by a wood burner. There is electric lighting and everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen shed has a generous supply of crockery, cutlery and pots and pans. There is a two-ring electric hob, kettle, fridge, barbecue, and fire pit are available for cooking. Water is provided in the hut kitchen. There is a shared washroom located approximately 100m from the Hut up at the farm with a walk-in shower and WC. The washroom also has a small kitchen unit with a sink and draining board for washing up and there is a washing machine for guests to use.

This peaceful, sheltered site has a special character. The site is the ideal place to unwind with plenty of safe space, a meandering river and friendly atmosphere. It offers 4 acres with facilities, 7 acres of wilderness, shower block, level pitches, picturesque river, children’s playground and has been rated AA 4 star gold pennant.
Becky and John both love Cornwall and fell in love with the site as soon as they saw it and it provided the perfect opportunity for a new challenge.
Having only recently taken over at Willow Valley in the Summer of 2024, there are always ongoing improvements being made so make sure you keep in touch. Any returning campers will be glad to know we aren’t changing the campsite itself though. Why would we when it is already so perfect!

Farm is a working farm in the heart of the Isle of Purbeck, ideally located for exploring the stunning World Heritage Site coastline. The Pike family has farmed here since 1956. The farmhouse is largely Victorian although parts of the house and some farm buildings are much older. The accommodation looks out over the lovely views of Corfe Castle and the Purbeck Hills. The seaside town of Swanage is just over 4 miles away as are the sandy beaches of Studland Bay. Local footpaths and Swanage Steam Railway also make exploring Purbeck easy, and we are a few minutes’ walk from Harmans Cross Station. Enjoy the sandy beaches of Shell Bay, Studland and Swanage or go rock pooling or fossil hunting at Kimmeridge Bay. The Coastal Path will take you along the coast to Durlston Country Park, Dancing Ledge and Winspit. The deserted village of Tyneham and its own bay is a short drive away, then follow the scenic road over the Ranges to Lulworth and Durdle Door. Local attractions include Monkey World and Bovington Tank Museum, and a walk through the RSPB bird sanctuary at Arne to Poole Harbour is recommended.

South Town Camping opened for a month in 2018 to see how guests would take to its private 10-pitch site. Tucked away in North Devon's Arlington estate, amid twenty-plus miles of footpaths and bridleways, this is a campsite designed by committed campers and it shows.The grass pitches are spacious, with paths leading to them mown into the wildflower meadows, all set within six acres kept peaceful (and safe for the kids!) by the absence of cars — simply roll your belongings to your tent with the help of a super-sized wheelbarrow. At the centre of the camping fields hay meadows are left to grow throughout the summer, providing an almost-wild aesthetic befitting of the sprawling surrounding woodland of which you'll enjoy uninterrupted views. Weekend Trip to Jordans Estate Glamping
We had such a chilled weekend at the Stanley shepherds hut. Such a neatly and cleverly designed hut, we were very cosy.
We had fun making pizzas and toasting marshmallows.
Hot tub did take a long time to warm up the first night but the weather was against us- the second night was the opposite.
Great facilities and very easy to find off the road.
A warm welcome by our host who made sure we knew where everything was and had pre lit the hot tub fire for us!
Lovely touches like hot chocolate and marshmallows, fairy lights and drinks holder on the hot tub!

Absolute gem of a find. The location is great and the shepherds hut is super cosy with all the added extras. Bed was lovely a comfy too! We had a super stay and enjoyed the peace and quiet, could hear all the birds singing ! We loved having a fire in the evening in the chimera provided. We could see Corfe Castle from the hut and was a great view.
We will definitely be back. Our host Andrea was very friendly , helpful and responsive . Thankyou for a lovely stay

brilliant place to stay, very relaxed there but if you need anything they was there. me and my partner stayed here with our 2 daughters and our dog and it was 100% one of the best places we have been to, great veiws, great facilities. all in all will 100% be staying again and maybe try the other cabins.

Stayed for 4 nights but felt I could’ve lived there. So well thought out and finished to a really high standard. The bed was so comfortable and the trip gave me everything I needed. The toilet block was a stones throw away, with hot showers.

We had the best time in the Shepherd's Huts - it's such a magical place to stay, with beautiful views over the fields and even it's own little woodland walk. We spent two nights just us and our son, then my cousins pitched a tent on the third night. It was so peaceful to be surrounded by nature and have the place to ourselves. The huts were beautiful and cosy and the beds were comfy too. There was everything we needed to have a camping experience that felt both wild yet easy and with all that we needed. Thanks Abbey Home Farm!

We booked a weekend stay with our daughter and it was lovely, very peaceful and calm. She loved feeding the pigs! The hot tub stays hot for a long time once you’ve got it going so worth firing it up nice abs early. The site owners were always around and really helpful too.

Great location and very clean amenities. Quiet and secluded. Andrea also let us pitch a small tent on the patch which was very convenient for us both. The hut is kitted out with everything you need. There’s a great bbq out side too. But the induction hot plate did a fabulous job…we’re going to buy one! We will be back next year for more walking and running. Super place. Everyone very friendly

We had a lovely time at the farm, 2 adults and 2 kids staying at the Drover's hut. Nicky was super lovely and even showed our boys around the chicken coops. The beds were comfy and the hot tub was great too.

Weekend Trip to Jordans Estate Glamping
Beautiful setting, wonderfully equipped double hut. We had a wonderful weekend away celebrating our wedding anniversary and would highly recommend this accomodation. Loved the hot tub and the outdoor shower.

2 nights at Oakhill Ponds
Beautiful location, we loved staying in the Shepherds Hut. Loads of thought has been put into the space, lovely individual garden with seating, hammocks, so nice to eat outside in the sunshine & to be able to use the outdoor hot tub after a swim. The spa was fab & swimming in the pond was tonic for the soul. Amanda & Rob were great hosts, & they have definitely achieved what they have set out to do - provide people with an incredible place to slow down, appreciate nature & reset. Thank you

I had a really lovely stay at the hut. Beautifully located in the peaceful countryside overlooking Corfe castle, this lovely place was the perfect get away for a sunny weekend. The hut itself was well appointed and very comfortable. I would certainly recommend.
