4 nights at White Peak Camping

The campsite is in such a beautiful area, there are loads of wonderful walks nearby. It is high up, the walk back from the Monsal trail is steep but worth the effort as the field is so very peaceful...perfect if you just want great views, a loo, sink and drinking water. There was always plenty of loo roll and hand-wash. Janice and Paul very welcoming and provided lots of info. Have booked again for next month!

Weekend Trip to Brook Farm

What a lovely little camp site, it was soooo quiet and the weather was perfect. We went for a really nice walk upto the village through the fields, we met with the Church Warden and his wife, who were so lovely, then we went down to the pub for dinner one night too. The site is just right for what I wanted, I don't like all those sites with perfect pitches and lots of rules. My family came over to join me for a bbq, after Id asked Ann first, as the site was not busy on the Sunday, and Ann popped over to say hello. It was just perfect. Thank you Ann, we will be back.

Had a great stay here! Turned up very late but the site was easy to find and there was plenty of space. Had dinner around a campfire before sleeping under the stars, then left early next morning. Would highly recommend if you're in the area! Also, my car is pretty low and had no problem driving through the farmyard to the campsite.

Lovely campsite with excellent facilities. All very clean and in good condition. The hosts were very helpful and the little shop is stocked with some great stuff. Considering how remote the site is, it was very easy to find. The area it's in is great for peaceful walks.

The field is massive so I had loads of space! I arrived to see I had the field to myself which was amazing. The views are lovely from all directions. Facilities are clean and had exactly what we needed. Site owners saved the day by giving me a jump-start as my car battery decided to die on me! Very much appreciated. Will definitely come back.

Had all you needed - showers, toilet, somewhere to wash up. Even had the possibility of a camp fire which kept us very warm during the early spring. Only a 10 minute drive from Buxton so very convenient. Also many Alltrails routes nearby for any keen hikers.

The Hollies was well directed using Google Maps- got an area just by the toilets and the showers (£1 for 5 minutes hot water)- only other people there were a couple with a large camper van and a dog on the Wednesday, so basically had the run of the place- lucky with the glorious weather- owners husband was friendly and helpful throughout the stay- showers : toilets modern and cleaned daily- well maintained grasslands, only looked to be one tiny boggy bit ( field 2 ) in the entire 6 acres- I prefer off peak times for stays, so this won’t be a reflection of holiday times/ weekends, but a fantastic 3 days nonetheless. The site’s central location in the Peak District National Park means it’s a top spot for those who want to ramble or ride bikes – several circular trails leave from Tideswell and the traffic-free Monsal Trail is a five-minute drive away. And there’s plenty more activity if you require it too, as activity centres nearby can sort you out days of horse riding, abseiling, climbing and caving. When to go

Kettlewell is warmest in July, when average temperatures of 20℃ make for comfortable camping and walks through the forest. May is popular for dryer weather, sunny days, and slightly fewer crowds. Though winter is colder and often has some snowfall, heated cabin rentals and glamping sites are open year-round to stay warm.
