Luxurious Hypnos bed and mattress with plenty of storage. The hut offers a cosy interior with walls finished in dark blue tongue and groove paneling, an oak floor and contrasting white ceiling. Sumptuous Linwood fabrics have been used throughout on the windows and furniture. Double glazed hardwood doors and windows combined with electric thermostatically controlled heating ensure consistent comfort throughout the changing seasons. Outdoors, relax in the wood fired hot tub or sit around the fire pit sipping wine or enjoying mugs of hot chocolate whilst enjoying the wonderful views of the Teesdale countryside. we are a stone throw away from the railway walk that can take you to the neighbouring villages of Romaldkirk, or Middleton- in-Teesdale, or hop in the car and take a short drive to the picturesque market town of Barnard Castle.

Lahtle Wood is an eco friendly off-grid Glamping site in North Yorkshire, catering for all age groups with the addition of delightful wood-fired hot tubs for our romantic 2 person pods. There is no electricity inside the pods but there is running water for our toilets and hot showers for your comfort.
We offer 15 Glamping units accommodating families and groups of all ages for 2, 4, and 6 people. Each pod has its own private area and facilities placed in the corners of 4 separate grassy glades hidden amongst the trees. The aim is for guests to unwind in the great outdoors, away from their electronic devices, discover how to light a fire to heat the shower boiler, cook on a camp fire grill and snuggle up around a log fire pit.
We are a dog-friendly site, but we do ask that dogs are kept on a lead and owners take responsibility and use the bins provided. Please be mindful of children playing within the wood and grassland.
Situated 10 miles from the old market town of Malton, 13 miles from the coastal town of Scarborough and only 29 miles from the city of York, we are perfectly located for you to explore close by local activities such as the North Yorkshire Water Park, Dalby Forest and Go Ape, Flamingo Land, the Sealife Centre, Eden Camp and Castle Howard, to name but a few. For the fit and active, take a stroll along the Wolds Way trail with delightful views across this beautiful County and rest half way round at our lovely local pub, The Dawnay Arms for lunch/dinner on route, only a miles walk from our site.
All of this makes Lahtle Wood the perfect place to bring your family or that special someone for a relaxing getaway in the stunning Yorkshire Wolds near the North York moors. Come and see what glamping has to offer you.

Really well laid out site. Quite steep in places with rough ground but fine if you are mobile. Toilet and shower facilities are excellent, as is the wash up area with phone charging facilities and shared fridges.
Fantastic base to explore the area, right next to the Thurscross reservoir.

Had great weekend yurt was fantastic, great atmosphere all basic supplies we needed we where greeted and explained where everything was. Views from yurt where lovely overlooking farm land hottub was great if not used to wood fired tubs may take bit of getting used to but we had no problems. Highlight was using he hot tub then getting back in our yurt and putting the log burner on. Hosts where wonderfully really helpful would highly recommend.

This was our 2nd time at Butt Farm, and it definitely won’t be our last. We love it. The pitches are a great size. When we first arrived our allocated pitch had a tent on it but was quickly resolved, we were given 2 pitches to choose from. There are a few bbq’s which you can borrow free and fire pits for £12 per night including wood, which I think is very reasonable. Plenty of instant hot water for washing up. Fridge and freezers free to use. Nice toilets/showers, again with plenty of instant hot water (and music playing while you shower 😍). Oh and very free range eggs (chickens are loose on the site) for £2 for 6!! Brilliant. It’s only about 40 mins walk into Beverley. There’s really nothing to not like about this site. Would highly recommend. Will definitely return.

Really lovely stay, Michael and Natalie really went above and beyond for our stay. The pods are beautiful I really didn't want to leave! Was just perfect in every way! 100% recommend to anyone who wants a retreat in the middle of nowhere quite and secluded. Absolutely spot on! Thank you! No doubt we will be back at some point again.

A lovely place to stay for camping with the kids, even with the midges :). The toilets were immaculate and plenty of shower rooms. We had a mix up with our pitch (i thought i had booked an electric pitch but it hadn't went through on hipcamp), the owner was brilliant and very accommodating. I wouldn't hesitate to book again if we are down that way.

Good recommendation for a walk up Stoodley Pike, well marked route which you can access straight from the site.
