This peaceful, sheltered site has a special character. The site is the ideal place to unwind with plenty of safe space, a meandering river and friendly atmosphere. It offers 4 acres with facilities, 7 acres of wilderness, shower block, level pitches, picturesque river, children’s playground and has been rated AA 4 star gold pennant. Becky and John both love Cornwall and fell in love with the site as soon as they saw it and it provided the perfect opportunity for a new challenge. Having only recently taken over at Willow Valley in the Summer of 2024, there are always ongoing improvements being made so make sure you keep in touch. Any returning campers will be glad to know we aren’t changing the campsite itself though. Why would we when it is already so perfect!

brilliant place to stay, very relaxed there but if you need anything they was there. me and my partner stayed here with our 2 daughters and our dog and it was 100% one of the best places we have been to, great veiws, great facilities. all in all will 100% be staying again and maybe try the other cabins.

I found Qookey Farm Campsite by accident but liked the sound of not, being close to Wells and Glastonbury. It's quite a find. Each pitch is spacious, with its own power source and refuse collection point. Toilets are close by - the only downside? No shower facility. I'd recommend it to anyone..

Amazing quiet spot (except for some noisy sheep!), plenty of space per pitch & lovely sea views. excellent shower and toilet facilities a very short walk away. Picnic bench and fire pit and wood provided. The tent itself was amazing - looked brand new, on a raised deck which kept it dry and clean & chairs to sit and watch the sun rise with a cuppa, comfy warm beds, rugs, blankets, hot water bottles all provided. Cute little “kitchen” hut with a gas hob and kettle and pans and crockery and cool box - everything we needed for a short break was thought of and provided. Great communication with the hosts beforehand as well. Would highly recommend and love to return if we’re in the area again.

Lovely campsite, the pods look like Tellytubby Land! It's a bit of a walk into Bude probably 40mins but the park and ride is almost opposite the site and very reasonable. We stayed in the Tree House, it was comfy and clean. It has a kettle, microwave, toaster, BBQ and fridge which is so convenient. Would recommend taking your usual cooking kit as there are plates, mugs, bowls and glasses but not pots and pans or stove. I might also take a picnic table if you like to sit in the sun as the seating area is shady. No curtains means you need a sleep mask if you like a dark room but I loved waking up to the sight of a blue sky. Would also recommend a torch for going up and down the steps at night.

Weekend Trip to South Dean Camping

We had a wonderful time here, with a beautiful seaside view and the added bonus of catching the sunset in a truly special way. The facilities were excellent – clean toilets, hot showers, and the option to buy a bundle of logs and a fire pit, which made the evenings extra enjoyable. It was also nice to have plenty of space between pitches, giving us a relaxed and comfortable stay. Everyone we met was very friendly and helpful, which added to the experience. The only downside was the mobile network coverage – it only worked when we were close to the facilities, but there was no signal at the pitch itself, so it’s good to be prepared for that. Other than that, everything was perfect. Definitely 5 stars from us. Thank you, South Dean Camping, for having us – we’re already looking forward to returning!Dani & Alex

This campsite introduced me to 'quiet camping' - I was concerned that it could be 'too quiet' for my daughter, but the barn (which is fully equipped with games, tables/chairs, and a little shop/bar) provides a central place where everyone congregates throughout the day. Totally geared up for peace and quiet, being out in nature, yet some dedicated features not typically associated with camping (compost loo, fire pit, picnic table and water tap for each pitch was a dream!). And the hosts were friendly, full of fascinating facts and good conversation. Would highly recommend, I'm looking forward to heading back next year.

My partner and I had an amazing long weekend staying at Mew's Farm. The views to the sea and surrounding hills are stunning. The campsite is surrounded by trees on one side (acting as a windbreak) and has all your camping needs close. The showers and pizza night were highlights! There is so much to see, do and explore, all within a short drive. A stunning part of the south West and well worth a visit

The campsite overlooks a breathtaking view, quite remote from the busyness of life. Not ideal for surfing as need to drive a bit to a surf beach. However ideal to get away and unwind with nature and explore what the Tarka Trail has to offer . V clean and well looked after.

Would highly recommend , we stopped in the safari lodge and had the whole site to our selves kids and dog loved it . lodge was very clean and so was the shower and toilet facilities also has a kitchen what has everything you need if you do forget anything with an honesty box to leave the money in . We was lucky to have a clear night so seeing all the stars at night was amazing also spotted deers in the morning. Very pleased with our stay

Weekend Trip to Farm camping in the Blackdown Hills

We enjoyed our stay very much, and just wished it was longer! The fields were lovely with beautiful views down the valley, and we very much appreciated the relaxed set up, thoughtful touches, and the wildlife and farming feel (i.e. nice and natural and not an over manicured 'touring park'!) Good facilities that worked very well - warm showers and compost loos (not at all stinky). Very clear directions provided with good signage so we found the site very easily. Lots of space so although there were 7 (I think) pitches in total that evening it felt peaceful and not crowded. Logs for sale although we didn't purchase any, and lots of info in the honesty shop. The land is lovely and we watched birds of prey, listened to owls, strolled along the newly planted hedge bank, and enjoyed a beautiful sunrise the next morning. Would definitely stay again and recommend it.

The view is spectacular and the site has easy access to coastal walkways and Heddon's Mouth. Great toilet/shower and washing up facilities - clearly well thought out and maintained. Will likely be back - it was also cool to go see the alpacas. We didn't stay here for the peak of the Perseids - but the night after and it was great star and meteor gazing! Be mindful that the campsite is very open so it gets the wind! We had a teepee type tent (we were just car tripping around) and it was not suitable for wind exposure but nothing wild just to keep in mind!
