Rosehip Campsite is just great. Secluded woodland pitches with a balance of shade and sunshine. Clean and well thought out composting loos with hand washing area. Mains water as you enter the site. Highlights for us were watching the many butterflies and also the bats as dusk turned to nighttime. If, like us you love nature and peace you’ll love this campsite.

We had a fantastic stay at Chrome Hill Campers. Super location for a walk over Chrome Hill. Enjoyed a ploughman’s lunch at the Chapel Tearoom in Hollingsclough. 3 nights at Four Winds Camping, Canoeing & SUP

Before we even booked our stay, the communication was fantastic. When we arrived we were welcomed by Andy who was friendly and helpful. Our pitch was great, with the use of a fire pit to cook our marshmallows. The toilets, showers, and washing up area was always clean. A short walk to the end of the field was the river where we had great paddles with our kayak and paddle boards, dog walks. It was a safe site for the children. Beautiful garden area. We went to March for food at the black rock grill and smokehouse which was delicious and well worth the money. It was a quiet and pleasant atmosphere and we will definitely be back to this site. The electric is on a metre but only cost us £5 for 3 days and we had our heater plugged in as well as the kettle on a lot. The little shop has fire wood, ice cream, drinks and snacks.

We had a lovely 2 night stay here over a weekend in March with our dog. The views straight from the pitch are wonderful. It’s really great (& very unexpected) that there’s a bathroom which was very clean. Chrome Hill & Parkhouse Hill are just down the road if hiking is your thing. We definitely recommend this place & will be returning. Thanks Alan & Lesa for a great spot to stay :-)
