With westerly views over the Trent Valley and in the shadows of a ruined 18th-century windmill, this is a peaceful and scenic place to take a break indeed…
Well-positioned too, with a generous handful of pubs, restaurants and cafés a scenic 35 minutes’ walk away in Gunthorpe alongside the river Trent. Radcliffe on Trent and Bingham are five minutes’ drive away for any other amenities you might (supermarkets, shops, restaurants, pubs and the likes). And if you’re after even more of a buzz, Nottingham city centre is 25 minutes’ drive away.
Even with such good access to so many towns and the big city, the site itself is remote. It has 10 acres of hay meadows and woodlands for guests to explore and, of course, sublime sunsets over the valley. If you prefer to keep your whole stay pretty rural, the Vale of Belvoir and the historic Belvoir Castle are 20 minutes’ drive away from the site.
It’s no frills here. The grass and woodland pitches have facilities including water and portaloo access. Dogs are also permitted, as are barbecues.

Secluded field near the head of a picturesque valley with far-reaching views. Perfect for bird watching, within easy reach of quiet forestry tracks which are ideal for cycling and walking. Enjoy after dark stargazing too. A quiet location but only a few miles inland from Scarborough. Four miles to the village of Ayton which has a convenience store, garage, chemist, fish and chip shop and restaurant as well as two popular pubs. The quaint village of Scalby is only a few miles away, and Dolby Forest with a variety of outdoor activities is also nearby.
Well behaved dogs are welcome. There is a fire pit available for those evenings around the camp fire, and barbecues are permitted.

Just spent three nights in our campervan at Wold Farm. We received a warm and friendly welcome and were invited to choose a pitch anywhere we fancied. It’s a nice, open site and the pitches are spacious. Toilets were clean with plenty of hot water. We knew there were no showers on site but would really have liked some!

A beautiful spot with great views and lovely hosts too. It feels very secluded but also very safe so we will definitely be going again. No complaints or issues at all and we would definitely recommend to others.

Lovely quiet and peaceful campsite. No other campers close by. Just trees and birds. At £25 for only one person I do think quite expensive though.

There's plenty to see and do along this magnificent, sandy stretch of the Lincolnshire coast and, as always, we've found the best campsites in the area to base yourself while visiting.
