Our camping field is set on the grounds of a pick your own fruit and veg farm, we have acess to one end of the lake, views over it and plenty of nature. There is a small kids play and picnic tables at the farm shop and bakery. Our pods and huts are dotted around the lake shore and some in small private clearings. Situated on the edge of the New Forrest National Park and within 20 minutes of the beaches of Christchurch. There is easy access to walking and cycling. With plenty of good pubs and restaurants, some withing walking distance of the site. The farm itself is home to a farm shop and delicious bakery. So you can easily garb a coffee and pastries for breakfast. Or some local farm produce. Walking around the lake is reserved for those who wish to book our huts or pods on the lakeside to preserve their privacy and tranquility of the lake and it's nature.

A rural getaway doesn’t have to involve a long drive or lots of winding lanes to negotiate – and an excellent example of this is Beech Farm, in the West Sussex countryside about five minutes’ drive from Billingshurst. This site is about a mile and a half from the nearest A road, half an hour’s drive from the A3 and M23, and about 45 minutes from Junction 9 of the M25. All of that adds up to a quick-to-reach destination for residents of London and most of the South East, as well as easy access for those coming from further afield. This is a fairly simple site with just essential facilities (toilet block, rubbish area and chemical disposal point), but it’s all well maintained. It’s a laidback place where families, dogs and groups are all welcome, but please note that campfires and barbecues are not allowed for safety reasons. Bed down here and you’ll be in an excellent spot for all sorts of days out – the site is just outside the South Downs National Park for scenic walks and bike rides, and within easy reach of Chichester (40 minutes), the Goodwood Estate (35 minutes) and the beaches of the south coast (half an hour). A decent striped back camp field. On the doorstep of Holt Heath which made dog walking a breeze. Visited out of season so I was the only tent camper for the weekend although there seem to be some residents on site. Did get awoken when one resident came returned to the site at midnight and talking quite loud there on. But otherwise a nice overnight.

Weekend Trip to The Barn KT9

The Barn is the perfect set up for me and my dog. We hiked in from Ashtead Station (under an hour) and just had time for a coffee before 3pm check in. Really lovely and welcoming cafe staff. Everything is provided on the campsite. firewood and charcoal via an honesty QR code, washing facilities, toilets were clean and flushing! We had an amazing relaxing evening by the fire watching the deers and foxes in the fields. Cafe opens 8 which was brilliant because I dropped my cowboy coffee in the fire. Caffeine secured! We found our new favourite place and will be regulars from now on. Felt like being in the wild whilst still in touching distance from London.

Brilliant secluded spot, so quiet you'd forget there's a nursery right behind. Footpaths lead straight from the site into Ditchling, where there are some lovely pubs. Facilities are basic, but that's perfect as long as you know what you're getting into. Great value for the price, fantastic host. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We loved our weekend stay here. The site is really tucked away. We were in the clearing, adult only area - 6 massive pitches, extremely quiet, lots of birdsong (especially tawny owls at night). Lots of walks nearby. Other campers respectfully quiet. Compost loo’s (although trailer loo’s in operation when we went) rustic and hot showers, nestled in the hedge so could see all the blue tits whilst getting changed, which was lovely. Just our kind of place, all recycling and composting offered. If you want quiet, nature, walking, or cycling, no fuss, eco then this is for you.

Being Bank Holiday it was very busy but enjoyed my stay. Its a good location, 15min walk down to Stockbridge, yes its by an A road but it wasn't noisy and I was parked close to the gate. Facilities were amazing and clean and loved the little shed to do your washing up in. Bonus for me was the dog wash at the top of the field - my dog decided this weekend was the first time she wanted to roll in cow poo!!! Super simple campsite with all you need for a carefree stay. Will be back :)

We loved camping at Hook Farm Campsite. Facilities are basic but perfectly functional (including warm and clean showers), site is quiet and natural. The steep slopes are not ideal, as the mattress moves down while trying to sleep. It is however a great campsite with helpful and friendly staff and management.

We were impressed by The Barn KT9! Charlie was responsive and flexible, they had more facilities than we'd expected and it was a wonderful family friendly atmosphere. The cafe is a lovely addition to the facilities. The location feels very countryside, hard to believe that it is not that far from London! Would highly recommend it.
