🌲 North Norfolk Camping & Glamping Holt Hollow - Lakeside Forest Retreat North Norfolk Camping & Glamping, known as Holt Hollow, provides a rare, tranquil, and back-to-nature escape in the heart of the Norfolk countryside. Nestled in a wooded area on the outskirts of the AONB, the site's most distinctive feature is its beautiful natural lake and surrounding peaceful woodlands, ideal for walks and wildlife spotting. 🔥 Back-to-Basics & Off-Grid Ethos The site strongly emphasizes its back-to-basics philosophy: Off-Grid Living: Holt Hollow operates off-grid with limited to no phone coverage, promoting full disconnection from technology. Glamping Shepherds Huts & Yurts utilise gas-powered showers and solar lighting, with log burners for heat. Campfires: Campfires and BBQs are allowed. Glamping units include private fire pits/braziers for evening gatherings under the clear, dark Norfolk skies, which are excellent for stargazing. Core Facilities: Essential amenities are kept clean and functional, including shower/toilet blocks and fresh drinking water stations. Glamping 🎪 We have Glamping Shepherds Huts and Yurts, nestled within our woodland retreat. Rustic with wood burners, cosy linens and everything you need to enjoy your time. 🐾 Dog-Friendly Woodland & Accommodation Our campsite is proudly dog-friendly, welcoming companions on all pitches and in our glamping accommodation. The open meadow and surrounding woodlands provide ample space for walks, and the lake allows for paddling. 🗺️ Local Area: Holt Village and the Coast The site’s rural location is conveniently close to key North Norfolk highlights: Holt Village: The charming Georgian market town of Holt is just a short 5-minute drive away. It is perfect for exploring independent shops, cafes, and art galleries, and for accessing local gems like Holt Country Park. The Coast: The stunning North Norfolk Coast (part of the AONB) is only a short drive away, providing access to: Blakeney Point (famous for seal watching boat trips). Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham Bay. Coastal walks along the Norfolk Coast Path. North Norfolk Camping & Glamping offers an authentic outdoor adventure, blending rustic living with the comfort of having the best of the Norfolk coast and countryside within easy reach.

Longash

14. Longash

Merrivale , England · 1 unit
Longash is a traditional granite farmhouse smallholding on the southern edge of Dartmoor, sitting above the moor with views stretching across open moorland towards Princetown. This is proper Dartmoor — wild, ancient and extraordinary. Sleep in a Lotus Belle canvas tent on a raised timber platform, with a wood burner for cool evenings, a king bed, and the sound of nothing but wind and birdsong. Step outside to a fire pit under one of the darkest skies in the South West. Due to the pristine nature of the lotus tent and the fact that we have livestock there are NO DOGS ALLOWED on bookings. The land itself is the attraction. Natural wild swimming on site, a Neolithic stone row a thousand metres from the door, and unlimited moorland walking from the gate. The Dartmoor Inn at Merrivale is a 750 metre walk — an acclaimed open-fire restaurant serving exceptional meat, well worth the short walk across the moor. This is a place to slow down, go outside, and remember what quiet feels like.

Mehefin Coed

18. Mehefin Coed

Crymych, Wales · 1 unit
Hello and welcome to Llwyn Celyn’s “Mehefin Coed” and a little bit of paradise, we really don’t want to share. June and I (Laurence) Tree hope you enjoy your stay in our vintage motor home, parked up in a setting that invokes (we hope) the off road country lane hide away meets beach and secluded back garden feel. Llwyn Celyn – Like hundreds like it, is a small holding, a farm of some 12 acres, these days it is still farmed, though very quiet with only the sound of sheep from our family folk, and is set midst a small hamlet of ten other holdings. Llwyn Celyn’s “Mehefin Coed” is situated in the heart of Pembrokeshire’s National Park – The Preseli Mountain Range and birth place of Wiltshire’s “Stonehenge” and their blue stones, to which the quarries can be seen and walked to a few minutes away from Mehefin Coed. From our pictures, we hope, they give you a sense of relaxation and to forget the World outside away from our part of the UKs wonderful Pembrokeshire.

Wortha Farm

20. Wortha Farm

England · 4 units
Wortha Farm, the main house being late Regency in style constructed around the 1830’s, has picturesque views to the west overlooking Brentor Church. The farm is set in 42 acres and sits on the edge of West Blackdown, where wild moor meets the north-eastern edge of the Tavistock/Tamar Valley pastures. The fields from the house slope gently down to the River Burn. Beyond which the fields rise up to the world-renowned St Michael De Rupe church which has sat atop Brentor since the original structure of 1130AD. This landmark dominates the landscape. At Wortha Farm, the sun rises over the wild moorland to the east and sets behind the silhouetted church to the west.
