The campsite is situated on the beach, sheltered by the sheoaks in the back dunes. At the rear of the campsite lies a freshwater lagoon, locally known as the keyholes. Currently, there are four sites available to be booked. There is a camp kitchen with a two gas burner, all pots and pans, plates and cutlery with table and chairs to sit at. There is also a big esky there to use for either your food or drinks. Fresh water is provided in twenty litre drums. The bush shower works on the keg being heated up just like a kettle. Once it is hot then a nice warm shower is to be had to wash off all the salt from the ocean. There is also two compost toilets for your convenience. A unique feature includes the opportunity for surfing, fishing, and swimming in your private lagoon. A short drive will take you to Point Lookout. 10 minutes and you are at the pub mixing with the locals. Access is via the beach only and tides are a consideration. Please check "Point Lookout tides" on Willy Weather. I don't normally travel on the beach if the tide is over 1.5 metres. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is required. Camper trailers can be brought in as they are light. Caravans are not permitted due to the tight turning circles.

Friendly and helpful host! Alana gave us loads of tips. The spot is quiet despite being next to a road. The horses and alpaca’s were so sweet across the road. The spot comes with a fire pit and secure gate with even ground and lovely grass

Riverside is a lovely spot, level and sheltered (& freshly mown). Plenty of sunshine for solar and beautiful shady trees along the riverbank. The hosts are wonderful, welcoming, and genuinely kind people. There is some passing traffic and the site is close to the road, so I kept my puppy on a leash, but that was a small trade-off for such a convenient, relaxing getaway close to home.

We loved Amani Acres! Such a peaceful, lush & cosy little camp all to ourselves, not too far away from the convenience and hustle & bustle of the Gold Coast & Tweed Heads. We ended up extending our stay! The owner was lovely & friendly but still respected our privacy. Will definitely come back if we’re in the area again!

A very peaceful place to camp, has a creek & beautiful peacocks. We feel safe and very relaxed and hope to come back again when we can. Clean & spacious bathrooms with hot water & purified water to use.

Great spot for a few quiet nights away. We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves. The place has everything you would need, camp kitchen with sink connected to water, gas burner and a table under a roof. Hot showers and toilets (composting). Short walk down to the beach. Perfect time of the year also, watching whales, dolphins and catching fish daily. Easy enough to get to as the entrance was washed away. John sent through directions and a map. Would camp here again!!!

I had a wonderful experience at this camp! The view is absolutely stunning, and the place itself is beautiful, filled with great energy. Dr. T and Richard took excellent care of us, making the experience even more special. I truly believe it’s worth visiting — I highly recommend it!

We loved camping at Tappys. 2 couples and a couple of dogs enjoyed the friendly and rustic site. All advertised amenities were better than expected and the evening's and nights under stars with the surf music was blissful. Beach access is fine and sea swimming at calmer times quite possible (just watching for the 4x4 beach traffic). The ponds are an easy walk and provide delightful, secluded fresh water swimming. Thanks to John and Steve for sharing their land and experience with us

Excellent space of land across the road from owners home. Very private with a good size block all to yourself. Relaxing listening to the running creek at the back of the property. Away from the hustle and bustle of the Gold Coast yet still an easy 15 minute drive to the beach and under 11 min to access dump point and water. The area is we'll kept and lovely hosts! Thanks for allowing us to stay in your space, it's greatly appreciated 🤗
