Stonesthrow is a 106 acre rural property in the peaceful Illinbah Valley. Nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, we are about an hour (a stones throw) from the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Over time, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses and is now a family hobby farm. We currently have three dogs, cows, horses, goats and some friendly donkeys who love to meet new people for some pats and a carrot!
The Stonesthrow Bush Camping sites are close to the beautiful shallow creek that meanders its way through the property. These sites have access to facilities - toilets, a powered shed, kettle, fridge and a sink. Some sites offer 2WD access yet still facilitate the experience of camping in the bush. THESE ARE THE ONLY SITES THAT CARAVANS CAN ACCESS.
The Stonesthrow Elevated sites are located higher up, with stunning views of the valley. These sites are only accessible by capable 4WD and require you to bring your own sealed, chemical camping toilet and ensuite tent which we sight on arrival before allowing guests access to the track. Check-in must be during daylight hours to enable safe access. Off-road camper trailers can access these sites.
Friendly dogs are welcome and must be kept on a lead when in close proximity to the cottage and other campers. Please note, the availability of certain sites is weather-dependent.
We are not a 4WD adventure park. Vehicles must be left at your campsite and NOT used to explore the property. Exploration of the property is welcome by foot or bicycle: 1.2 km from bottom to top.
Due to insurance considerations, no 'day visitors' are allowed unless they have an approved Hipcamp booking.
We are a Leave No Trace campground - ensure what you bring in, leaves with you.

We have a beautiful deepwater lake that's perfect for swimming and canoeing. The property is traversed by several rainforested creeks and ravines, which are perfect for adventure hiking and rock climbing.
We can also take you horse riding around the farm for a couple of hours or to the local winery if you prefer a longer ride. We cater for all levels of riding.
We have many panoramic campsites for you to choose from. These are suited to anyone with the swag, tent, camper, caravan, or motorhome. You must be self-sufficient, with your own toilet, and we kindly ask you take all waste when you go.
For those who prefer the comforts of home we have a bunkhouse which sleeps 10 and has electricity, water, flush toilet, shower, stove, microwave and TV.

If you are driving 2wd, or 4wd towing a caravan or a big trailer and GPS takes you through Mountain View Rd - do not go that way - go through Dayboro Rd.
For those without transport Dakabin train station is 25 min from the farm. Pick up and drop off to the station can be arranged. There is a wide variety of shops and restaurants less than 10 min away.

How to get to us? We have two ways in .
Option 1:
Via Flagstone onto Bushman Drive – then into Wyatt road follow to the end and turn right onto undullah road follow for 5 ks .
we approximately 14 km from the Flagstone Shopping Centre.
Please note: 10 km of this route is gravel road. 4x4 vehicle access is recommended.
Option 2:
From the Centenary Freeway roundabout, at ripley head 21 km along Ripley Road, which continues and changes name to Undullah Road.
This route is 4x4 access is recommended with some narrow bends – please drive to conditions. We do have 2 wheel drives make the journey !

Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is 5min away if you jump on at Borallon Station Rd. Some cattle tracks for the kids to ride along in the paddock also.
-Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports
-Wildlife watching, this paddock sustains a large variety of native animals, if you’ve got a keen eye
-Bottle Tree pub is just down the road, - bit more than walking distance tho :)

Our property is 4WD access. You are risking your booking and vehicle if you turn up in a 2WD or family SUV.

UPDATE as of early May 2026 - the creek is dry.. Some of our tracks are rutted and may become slippery in wet weather. We do basic maintenance to keep access open for 4WDS. Be prepared to apply your 4WD skills.
Kobble Creek West is accessible from several locations on our property boundary. Ideal for creek exploring and rock hopping. There’s even a small lagoon now awaiting.
Check out the short hiking trails on our property (there are hike options suitable to your preferred difficulty). Bring your machete for an even greater hiking experience!
You can relax by or in the spring fed dam, explore seasonal Kobble Creek, feed the chickens or goats, spot the abundant bird life, or sit patiently and a deer or fox may appear at dusk.
Enjoy the evenings sitting around the campfire as you gaze at the stars.
All sites have sufficient spacing from other sites to ensure acceptable privacy. You are welcome to enjoy our off-grid camping with the expectation that facilities are minimal.

The Hill Top - South Ripley Farm is located in the hill of the Ripley Valley, QLD. The farm has horses, goats and cattle. The property is 10 minutes from Springfield and Yamanto shopping Centre but set back into the mountain. There is multiple location around the front 100 acres which allow for peace and quite camping. The Back 200 acres has multiple walking tracks that boast an impressive views, overlooking as far all the Brisbane and Ipswich, plus quite nature of unseen landscape unable to be seen from normal public locations.

One of the best camps we have been to so far, almost all the animals you can think of kept our kids entertained all day long. They are all so friendly and we don't want to leave. Beautiful quiet and secluded campsites. We loved exploring the fresh spring fed creek and bush walks. Guy and Isabelle were so welcoming and helpful, happy to answer and questions we had. Can't wait to come back!

As a family of four with two young kids and our dog, this was exactly the kind of escape we didn’t realise we needed. 🤍
From the moment we arrived at MYSTIC ADVENTURES, everything felt calm, peaceful, and genuinely welcoming. The privacy, the quiet outdoors, and the warmth of the space made it so easy to slow down and just be present together as a family.
The cabin was beautifully set up with everything thoughtfully prepared — from the extra kitchen essentials, tea, coffee and condiments, to the fresh bread which honestly made the stay feel even more special. It’s those little touches that make you feel cared for, not just accommodated.
Our kids absolutely loved the garden and outdoor space, and for us it felt like glamping in comfort and style — all the beauty of nature without the stress of having to bring everything yourself. Even our dog settled in so happily.
This place gave us quality time, quiet moments, and memories we’ll genuinely hold onto. We left feeling rested, reconnected, and already talking about when we can come back.
Thank you for creating such a beautiful space for families to experience. We’ll absolutely be recommending MYSTIC ADVENTURES to others looking for something truly special.

Perfect for those who are either trying camping for the first time or getting back into the swing of things - Judith was lovely, and really came through by lending us some rope when we discovered our tent was missing the topcover! Without her assistance, we wouldn't have been able to McGyver a cover with our tarp, and we would have gotten soaked with the condensation and fog that rolled in.
Fire pits for each site, the majority of which surround a small dam/duck pond on the property- if you don't have wood, they can drop a supply directly to your site for a small fee! It is a working property, so you may have the owners driving past on vehicles and machinery briefly, but as the evening rolls in, its lovely to sit by the fire, listen to the farm animals, and watch the birds on the water.
The property has a flushing toilet and running water for campers to use, and is stocked with soap and toilet paper - 100% would recommend this site for those wanting a quick last minute get away to unwind, but don't want to travel too far.
The property is off a somewhat busy road, so there is minor traffic noise, but it dies down a lot as the evening wears on - completely quiet by the time you turn in!

Had a lovely peaceful stay here. We were moved to another private spot on the property, which ended up being a really nice quiet area with plenty of space and a fire pit to enjoy in the evenings.
Even though we were closer to the shower and toilet facilities, we were fully self-sufficient so it still felt very private and relaxing. The property itself is calm and well maintained, with a really nice atmosphere for slowing down and switching off.
Stayed with my two dogs (on lead) and they loved relaxing around camp and exploring the open space 🐶🐶
Overall, such a nice little getaway and we’d happily come back again 🤍🐾

Amazing views high up on the ridge. Viola was lovely, communicates well and personally drove us to the site. She was the best host we have dealt with. The site is high up so expect winds but the views made it worth it. We were met by horses around our site each morning which were very friendly. The lovely rolling hills away from the hustle and bustle of life helped us enjoy the campsite so much. We will be back 100%.

Awesome little last minute night away, very quick and easy! Had the pick of the sites as noone else there just after labour day long weekend and I can say the whole area was very nice a peaceful. Got to meet kevin and the farm animals and little jasper 🐕 who were very welcoming
Cant wait to head back for a couple more nights instead of just 1 🤣

This camp is on the rear of a large property in Belmont. Close to central Brisbane and the motorways. For a camp in the city, it's quiet, without too much road noise. Power, water, sunny.... everything you need but you must be self-contained.

Second visit back to Rangetop at Oceanview. Great reliable location only 1 hr from Brisbane. Viola is so accommodating. Great to have a visit also from the friendly horses. Our dog also loves visiting the farm!!! Will definitely be back!

We Absolutely loved our stay at Hilltop . We Traveled a whole 20 minutes to get there from home but would 100% travel from anywhere to stay there. Spot on place to stay so close to town for a quick little getaway as ypu could be anywhere is the feeling you get when there .
