The campsite is situated on the beach, sheltered by the sheoaks in the back dunes. At the rear of the campsite lies a freshwater lagoon, locally known as the keyholes. Currently, there are four sites available to be booked. There is a camp kitchen with a two gas burner, all pots and pans, plates and cutlery with table and chairs to sit at. There is also a big esky there to use for either your food or drinks. Fresh water is provided in twenty litre drums. The bush shower works on the keg being heated up just like a kettle. Once it is hot then a nice warm shower is to be had to wash off all the salt from the ocean. There is also two compost toilets for your convenience. A unique feature includes the opportunity for surfing, fishing, and swimming in your private lagoon. A short drive will take you to Point Lookout. 10 minutes and you are at the pub mixing with the locals. Access is via the beach only and tides are a consideration. Please check "Point Lookout tides" on Willy Weather. I don't normally travel on the beach if the tide is over 1.5 metres. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is required. Camper trailers can be brought in as they are light. Caravans are not permitted due to the tight turning circles.

Such a serene and extremely private location, so close to Brisbane. Waking up to stunning lake views was the absolute best!! Well kept gardens and surroundings. Absolutely outstanding Hipcamp. The beautiful, peaceful setting and the use of Kayaks were much appreciated. One camper did use a generator, but let us know that his van had lost power and was being remotely repaired; we were offered the opportunity to plug in. It wasn't noisy, allowing us to recharge our own batteries. Would highly recommend the Hipcamp. Thanks Mitch and Holly for allowing us to return and enjoy your property once again.

Our weekend at Lakeside area 4 was so lovely & peaceful. The lake was great - perfect for paddle boarding and a relaxing float. Instructions were detailed about the area - ways to find our space. Lots of families enjoying the other areas - all with ample space. We will definitely head to lakeside again.

Very nice in my caravan next to the pond. Peaceful and relaxing. Extended my stay from a couple of days to a week. Mitch very helpful and quick to respond to messages. A little different with the old structures but they add character to the place. Two suggestions, 1) expand and add power, 2) publicise don’t hide the history.

Great camp-site, so peaceful and relaxing. Economic stay when you book with someone else as price is by the site with up to 50 per site in some cases. Only negative was the bloody cane toads but nothing can be done about that. Thanks for a great stay.
