We moved here 5 yrs ago and love it! Been working on upgrading and fixing just about everything. We live off-grid, but have solar power and a generator.
We have a big garden and orchard. 2 of our tent sites are close to the house and outhouse, 150ft or so.
I process firewood and do handyman work, while the mrs. works from home on the computer, so there is always someone here if we're needed.
If need be you can charge you cell phones from our house. We will try to accomodate guests needs whatever they may be.

Welcome to Red Pine Forest, located on Manitoulin Island! We have 4 campsites available for tents or 2 for RVs.
We have 100 acres of mixed conifers, including red and white pine. The property boasts a vast variety of flora and fauna, including deer, grouse, porcupine, reptiles like salamanders, hummingbirds and songbirds along with the usual woodland critters, so bring your camera! It is also possible to spot black bears, coyotes, lynx and bobcats.
There is a large common fire pit on the property. There is a newer cedar outhouse located near 2 of the tenting sites. You are welcome to walk our trails which can be quite rugged at times, with many alvars and unique flora. There are many beautiful lakes nearby to explore, kayak and fish. You can pitch a hammock under massive pines if you like. Misery Bay Provincial Park is 10 minutes away. There are 2 native reserves nearby that offer the world's largest drum and dream catcher.
Locals are friendly and our resident woodworker has some beautiful carvings to see. It is fairly quiet and peaceful, as we are not on the highway. If you time it right you may find mushrooms, or wild strawberries and raspberries. There is a local diner 5 mins away. There is a local market on Saturdays to explore. We are 420 friendly.

We live in a beautiful area nestled in the woods just seconds away from amenities, half a kilometer off Highway 17. It is very private here. We are homesteaders and love our land. We grow our own food, our own herbs and our own chickens. If you're here during the right time, you might see a few chicks running around . In our town we have a small grocery store, a convenience store with gas and we have an LCBO
You can park in the driveway with you RV or on the lawn with your tent. You will have access to electricity and water. You can also use the bathroom and shower. You must provide your own extension cord and water hose I do have some here if need be but I am not sure they would be long enough. There is a beautiful Lake just down the street. Another half a kilometer away for you to go. Kayaking, swimming or just sightseeing. There is also a spot for you to climb the mountain. The marina here in town is absolutely beautiful and they have a lookout for you to climb. I believe it's 132 steps. This is the highlight of our little town.

Living close to Georgian Bay, I’ve always wanted a waterfront property and I always believed in my heart that I will be blessed with one someday. After our family’s first camping trip to Manitoulin Island, my husband and I fell in love with “Spirit Island” and decided to find our own special place. Around Thanksgiving weekend of 2019, after several trips back and viewing a dozen properties, our search for a land was finally over and our wish came true. God was and is indeed faithful and in His own sweet time, has blessed us with a beautiful land. It has been quite a journey and with God’s grace, our place has been such a Sweet Oasis! It is our hope and prayer that we can share our blessings of this land to everyone who loves nature and respect God’s awesome creations! 😊 Sweet Oasis is a private camping get away. Sue ( and her partner Bert) were so very accommodating. This was our first nite with our new to us RV, and getting help setting up, having shore power and water was really reassuring. Also, access to a bathroom ( toilet/shower) other than our own in the trailer was a bonus.

We took our truck camper to Sweet Oasis and weren’t disappointed at all with the view! Spacious and fairly private. The properties around are long and narrow so the neighbours are quite close but hidden by lots of foliage! It did seem like the neighbours were having a party a couple of the nights we were there so I might be mindful of that if you’re looking for a quiet getaway…The water was lovely (I’d recommend water shoes as it’s quite rocky) we had a nice dip and took out the SUP board. Great way to cool off! Liza was extremely responsive and kind and would highly recommend a stay!!

The campground/resort is very cozy with cabins & a trailer scattered throughout the property. The Chickadee campsite was wonderful - right next to the woods, with its own private path to the river (a lovely spot for morning coffee in the sun). Also close to the (very clean and un-smelly) outhouse/vault toilet, shower, and water tap. Good mix of sun and shade. And power! Access to the beach across the street was incredible! Also within walking distance of the town. Deanne was a warm and welcoming host. Really felt at home here. Honestly couldn't have asked for anything more! :)

My wife and I absolutely loved our time at Sweet Oasis. Sweet Oasis offers a beautiful view of the sunrise and a perfect view of the night sky. An absolute must for anyone looking to unplug and enjoy the outdoors. The space also has plenty of seating, tables and a great fire pit. Liza was a kind, great and communicative host! The Chickadee Rest campsite was lovely, we lucked out and had the area to ourselves. We enjoyed being surrounded by trees with access to the creek from our campsite. The shower was clean with plenty of hot water and the owners are working on building a washroom beside the shower. The campground is across the street from a large, beautiful beach. The town is small but there is a great fish and chip restaurant within easy walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay, and the owners were kind and welcoming.

A nice quiet spot on shore of large lake in southern part of the island so close to ferry crossing. Site is large with many private spots with porch swings or tables and chairs in addition to huge open space. Shoreline is rocky but once past that, water does drop off so nice for swimming at that point. Huge lake would be great for windsurfing once out a little bit.

I spent two nights here and really enjoyed my stay. Hosts were excellent with communication and very welcoming upon my arrival.
Site is very well clean and well-maintained and backs up to the Mindemoya River, with a nicely cleared path, providing access down to the river if you so desire. The entire camping area was mowed and hook ups were easy to use, with trash and recycling receptacles right at my site.
The hosts are the newest generation to manage and operate this business which has been in the family for several generations. In addition to the camping site, there are cabin sites, as well. They are modernizing and upgrading and doing a good job of it, from what I could see. The shower area was clean and modern with good hot water and good water pressure.
Chickadee’s Rest and the other two similar sites were adjacent to, but separate from the cabin areas, giving a safe, peaceful feel.
Fulford’s is within probably 100 meters or less from the boardwalk at the Providence Bay Beach. When I arrived, they shared with me that it was a great place to watch the sunset over the bay. It is also walking distance to pretty much everything in Providence Bay. I found it to be a right central location for my time exploring various areas of Manitoulin Island. House went above and beyond to be helpful and accommodating to me, and if I ever return to the island, you can be certain that I will plan to stay with them again.

2 nights at Spring Bay Bunkie... Lot 20
I was impressed, the place had about everything you need for cooking, then some. Loads of chairs and loungers of various types. The lake is a limestone shelf (Alvar) that drops off very very slowly, you have to go quite far out to get to your waist, but be mindful of the waves, dont turn your back on them as a general rule. The water was clear and cold, but not frigid, the perfect type of cold on a summer day, you can stay in for hours. A general store is up the street about 6 mins for any needs. To be picky, the bunkie only needs one thing, a solar powered roof vent, it trapped a lot of heat during the day. It was hot at night. But this is just a trivial nitpick. I've done a lot of Hipcamps all over North America, this is one of the top 3.
I would like to go back again.

What a gorgeous site on the northern shore of Lake Huron. The coast is unique and swimming on the shore is excellent. Clean and clear water abounds! The bunkie is designed for practical yet eye-pleasing glamping. Basic needs are met and some extras too but not so many frills that it seems cluttered. Her decor is both streamlined and comfy. The addition of a deck and a fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs create great outdoor hangout options. And the picnic table for dining under an umbrella works just fine for outdoor dining. Thanks Tina for a lovely get away!!
