Thank you for the lovely stay Sherri. The camp was spacious, beautiful, and peaceful. Our dogs had room to roam off leash and we didn't need to worry about them. This gave my husband and I time to unwind and be stress free. We especially enjoyed the sunset and sunrise. They were spectacular at your camp. The only thing we should have changed was that we should have stayed longer!

One of the most magical hip camp spots I have stayed at. We only stayed one night as we caught the ferry in south baymouth and wished it was longer! Clean, my dogs were in paradise and so were we.

We absolutely love camping here, it's our second summer camping here with friends. We enjoy every min of it. So peaceful, perfect for swimming and relaxing. We will definitely be coming back. The hosts are great and respond quickly to any concerns or questions.

Very quiet and peaceful. It was a great place to hang out with my family and explore the shallow waters with a paddle board. We slept so well as it was so quiet, could not hear a car or boat or another person at all. It was beautiful. We could bring our dog who loved to be in the water as well.

Lakepoint Camp was our dream come true. We wanted to be by water and in nature.
And wow did it deliver!
We hopped along rocks in the sun and enjoyed listening to the changing sound of the waves. We sat on the shoreline rocks in the evening and watched the sun set. We retreated under the big old cedars and appreciated their size and the shade they gave in the heat. The little bay off the point where the campsite is was perfect for swimming and we loved watching the light reflected in the water and the wind changing on the surface. It was totally private. The only sounds were of sandhill cranes (our morning alarm) Canada geese, loons, frogs, chickadees etc.
At the same time there were many comforts: soft woodchipped areas to set up tents and walk around on, a beautiful stone fireplace made with stone from the area, an outhouse, a parking lot to pull our cars close so our food was handy, and a town 12 minutes drive away to refresh ice and groceries. We loved the nearby walking trail at Fossil Hill - also only a short drive away. There were so many trails around the island we only made it to one other but it was also wonderful.

What a magical place. There aren’t words for this very private and breathtaking spot. As soon as we arrived we felt at peace. The campsite was spotless and set up so well. Sherri made sure to check in to see how our trip was going and needless to say we will be returning again. Thank you Sherri for sharing your piece of heaven with our family.

If you're lucky and get the single site here, it's the best. Long driveway to only 1 site surrounded by lake & evergreen trees. Quiet, peaceful, just what we're all looking for - it's here.

What a magical dream camping site. Surrounded by three sides with clear water the campsite had the perfect touch of love to give you everything you need while letting the natural environment shine.
Pros: beautiful fire pit with perfectly placed sitting/table rocks. A clean outhouse. Two hammock chairs, cut firewood, a clothes line. The WATER! Clean, fresh, shallow. Host checks in well.
Cons: we had shoddy weather—it rained right before we arrived and the site is quite shaded making it hard to get warm. Both afternoons the wind picked up and was a bit relentless. You’re on a point and there’s not a lot of protected space. One night mosquitos came a calling, but mostly after the sun went down.

Easily one of the best places to camp at. Directions were clear, the space was great and the outhouse was clean. The swimming area on the right is perfect with shallow waters! Totally recommend!

We absolutely loved staying here - the site was private and large and well maintained. The breeze off the water kept the bugs away, and there was so much to do, from paddling, to swimming, walking and exploring and enjoying a nice bonfire. Loved having a place our dogs could enjoy off leash as well!
Sherri was so accommodating and flexible to us, and always responded quickly. We will definitely return!

We loved camping on Sherri's land. The site is magical. There are beautiful views in every direction and the sunsets are mindblowing. Sherri was a great host and answered all of our questions. She checked in to see how we were doing, and sent a lovely message as we were in our way out. This was our first HipCamp experience and now will be the first if many thanks to Sherri.

Sherri was wonderful and easy to deal with. The campsite was absolutely perfect. You could tell all of the detail that went into its planning. The water was amazing as well. Nice flat ground to set up tent - covered in clean wood chips as well.

BEST PRIVATE GETAWAY! This spot was hands down a 10/10 location. We booked the spot just one week before we arrived and couldn’t believe our luck when we arrived. It was perfect for our family of 4 and offered plenty of privacy, space, great amenities and easy access by car.
Sherri, you and your husband were so kind and helpful with any questions we had and very responsive in a timely manner. My only regret is not staying longer. We will certainly be back next year for the next adventure.

This property is so beautiful. My friends and I had the most magical camping weekend. Perfect swimming location, magical cedar grove, secluded so your pups can be off leash. It was perfect. I already want to go back. The place was easy to find and Sherri is great to answer all your questions. It's a peaceful gateway with a clean outhouse, great fire pit, and they even left us some fire wood. Highly recommend!

Without exaggeration, and with over 30 years of camping experiences, across several countries, this is easily the best site that I have ever camped at.
The site is located directly on the lake, with several easy entrance points. The water is temperate (in July) and clear. Easy to wade 20+ feet from shore and still only be in water 3-4 feet deep.
The area designed for tent set up is well-graded and spacious. A six-person tent with large vestibule fit without issue. A second graded area would have fit a 3-4 person tent, so plenty of options for set up.
Old growth tree cover kept the site cool and out of direct sun throughout the entire day. There is a beautiful fire pit with concentric stone rings providing boundary to the surrounding forest. The outer most ring is comprised of large, flat stones, for seating. There is a picnic table and clothesline set up for use.
The outhouse is set away from the main site, while still being accessible. It is immaculately clean and maintained; plenty of supplies, instructions for use, etc.
Host was very helpful in providing instructions finding the site. She responded very quickly to any questions and checked in (via HipCamp messaging) each day.
All in all, a spectacular experience and will absolutely be returning.

This was our first Hipcamp experience and we will definitely be doing this again. Gorgeous site. Beautiful water. Our hosts have obviously gone to a lot of trouble preparing this new site. Thank you!!. Communication was above and beyond. Our hosts obviously care that their guests have a comfortable stay and it shows.
