We are OPEN despite the current issues. No fires are allowed due to provincial bans. Enjoy the quiet skyline and maybe even catch a glimpse of the local wildlife. Our grass lots are backed with lush Appalachian forest and leads way to a slow brook where you can wade with the tide or try your hand at fishing or simply sit by the fire and enjoy the solitude. Check in is self guided as there is no host on site but you'll find it simple as all sites, as well as the toilet area is well marked with signage. This doesn’t mean we aren’t here to help, you can reach us 24/7 via text. We are Located just off the Acadian Coastal Drive and minutes from the beautiful Fundy shore. You can bring your tent, RV, van or camper and choose from 4 fantastic sites. 1-30 amp service, 2 roadside non-serviced as well as one privative forested site and 3 tent sites. All sites are equipped with a fire pit and access to our outhouse restroom. Wood is available for purchase if you didn’t bring your own! We are currently fencing in the entire property to make it a dog/cat and livestock safe area so pets can enjoy a safer experience . This will be done in stages so hang tight with us until this is completed. You can also explore New Brunswick with a drive on Acadian Coastal Drive ·Appalachian Range Route · Fundy Coastal Drive · Miramichi River Route or Fundy Coastal Drive Stop by and visit Murray Corner Provincial park for a swim and watch the tide roll out. Looking to see multiple provinces?? We are in the perfect spot to see all of what the East coast has to offer. View PEI’s spectacular Confederation Bridge from the shoreline and take a drive to PEI which is only minutes from us. Mainland Nova Scotia is less than a 30 minute drive and if your adventurous and want to drive the Cabot Trail then you can reach Cape Breton Island in under 2 hours! Catch a Ferry to Newfoundland if your heart desires. PEAK SEASON (May 1- Sept 31) OFF GRID (Oct 1 -Dec 31 and March 15 - April 31) CLOSED for winter (Dec 31- March 14) There is no potable water on site however, we do have an out building with compostable toilet, shower/change area. Free Showers and potable water available at Murray provincial park during peak season.

The cabin is a 5-minute walk from the Trans Canada RailTrail which grants easy access for longer bike rides, runs, hikes, and four-wheeler adventures. You’ll walk through a horse pasture and a cow pasture on your way to the cabin. There is a large farm pond (10ft deep) on the property for swimming. Enjoy access to locally-sourced food, firewood (at a small fee), drinking water, a private firepit, small wood stove and our old-fashioned wood-fired cook stove. There is no electricity or running water (but we provide ample drinking water) and there can be access to a charger box so you may charge your devices or have a light at night. Bring your pets and enjoy a private retreat. The max capacity of the cabin is three people. An outhouse with double-duty bag and second luggable loo are available for all guests. Minimum stay: 2 nights. NEW ADDITION: A new room, a small annex, has been constructed to allow for downstairs sleeping and writing area. We follow principles of regenerative agriculture and permaculture and are happy to chat about drainage ditches, ponds, silvopasture or any aspect of farming that might interest the guest. LOCATION: Conveniently accessed from 2 highway exits both with gas stations. We are 20 minutes to Wentworth Ski/Mountain bike hill, as well as only 20 minutes to Pugwash beaches, farmers market or ATV "Great Trail" Access. WE ARE CHEMICAL FREE. abundance of biting & beautiful bugs, birds, deer, coyotes & bears. Guests can test their scouting skills while trying to identify as many native species as they can while on site using Merlin or I-naturalist citizen science apps or engage in conversation with their hosts Kevin, Tawny or Caden. BEAR BLISS MEANS AWARENESS All guests must be aware we are in Bear country. We take our roles as stewards seriously and encourage all guests to keep food and rubbish locked up and dishes clean during the evening or whenever leaving. DO NOT LEAVE FOOD IN A TENT. ANY FOOD. Please stay within the marked boundary There is a private area cleared out directly off the trans Canada trail with a 12x12 wooden platform . NO VEICHLE ACCESS. ONLY accessible to the site by ATV, SXS, bicycle, or hiking . Room to park 2 SXS in the site . Platform has tie downs on all 4 corners , do not peg or nail tent to platform. No bathroom on site, please don't leave behind your business. Small camp fires are allowed in the fire pit as long as there is no provincial burn ban . Feel free to forage any downed sticks and branches within the site . Please do not leave behind garbage and waste ,try to leave it the same or better than you found it . This site is located in the woods so be aware of animals , bugs , and such . Host is not responsible for lost or stolen items please use caution when leaving camp 2.5 km to baie verte via trans Canada trail ( TCT ) 5.0 km to port elgin via TCT 30 km to Cape tormentine via TCT 60 km to sackville via TCT and registered atv trail.

A working wild blueberry farm nestled in the woods alongside the trans Canada highway. PLEASE NOTE: We have ticks, bears and road noise from the highway. A small family farm in the making, we raise sheep, ducks, chickens, and rabbits alongside stewarding medicine plants, vineyard and wild blueberries. Wild blueberry season is approximately end of July and we will have picking available for a fee for guests or earn your berries through some labour! We are building garden beds, a vineyard, fencing systems, and moving animals on to this land. **they aren't here yet but working dogs are**. We follow principles of regenerative agriculture and permaculture and are happy to chat about drainage ditches, ponds, silvopasture or any aspect of farming that might interest the guest. LOCATION: Conveniently accessed from 2 highway exits both with gas stations. We are 20 minutes to Wentworth Ski/Mountain bike hill, as well as only 20 minutes to Pugwash beaches, farmers market or ATV "Great Trail" Access. We had a great two night stay at the Owl's Nest cabin. Helmut answered all of our questions before we left and transported us to the cabin to show us around the cabin and property. Cabin is secluded and off-grid. Our dog was not a fan of the steep stairs to the loft. Don't forget to bring your orange vest and remember to check for ticks. Highly recommend for those looking for a quiet getaway.

We absolutely loved our stay at Owl’s Nest! Helmut treated you like family, sharing his experiences tending the forest and the cabin that he built. If you’re looking for a place to get off-grid, connect with nature, and be able to explore the many trails just outside your door, this is the place! We especially appreciated how the land was private, so that we could let our pup explore without worrying about running into any other dog owners. It was a great to share this cabin and we will certainly be coming back!

We surprised my parents with a stay at Bootsie Back 40 Cabin for their 40th anniversary, and it was absolutely perfect! The hosts went above and beyond with every detail. The cabin itself is so cozy and welcoming, surrounded by stunning fall colors that made the whole experience magical. My parents loved the peace and quiet — they spent their mornings sipping tea while listening to the birds sing. The hosts were wonderfully friendly and even took photos of my parents for me, which was such a thoughtful touch. They also got to visit the farm animals (including two emus!), which they absolutely adored. Thank you for helping me give my parents such a memorable and heartfelt experience. This will be a trip they’ll cherish forever!

We would have preferred a spot that was easier to maneuver BUT it was exactly as the pictures showed. We have 2 beagles and we worried that other campers might not be as fond of their songs as we are. But by quiet time (11pm) they were settled in. The ONLY unfortunate part of our stay was the large group of young people who didn't start drinking until after 11. At 230, my wife screamed, "Go to bed!" One of them yelled, "Sorry." But it still went on until after 3. They got our dogs and at least one other barking. Except for that one group, the campground was quiet after 11, and earlier, i dont think we hear a single loud voice. If there were dogs besides ours and the one we were travelling with, we never heard them. Better control of the 11pm quiet time is the only suggestion I have. Paula was a wonderful host and the campground is beautiful. Coyotes were in full song just as we were going to bed. The bathroom facilities were probably the nicest and cleanest that we've ever seen at a campground.

Charlene was the most incredible host! She was so kind, approachable, and informative. She texted us to find out our arrival time so that she could give us a tour of the property when we arrived—it was such a treat to meet all of the critters! She even moved our trailer back into the woods a bit so that we could have privacy and enjoy the pond. The trailer itself is very comfortable, with a toilet, sink, shower, fridge, and table with sitting room.

One of the highlights was being able to stargaze right from bed — such a magical experience. The kitchen and amenities were well stocked, which made meals easy and stress-free. About

Fort Gaspareaux National Historic Site is an archaeological site located just outside Port Elgin, New Brunswick, 4.8 km from the village of Baie Verte. It is on a small point of land jutting into Baie Verte on the Northumberland Strait separating the mainland from Prince Edward Island. The site consists of 1.23 hectares of flat coastal land on the south side of the estuary of the Gaspareaux River and is protected by a substantial sea wall. Its landscape contains archaeological traces of the French Fort Gaspareaux together with 9 graves of provincial soldiers killed in 1756 while garrisoning the fort. The designation refers to the landscape and the remains of the French-English struggle it contains.
