Sitting on the edge of Lake Scugog, there are many activities to enjoy nearby including fishing, boating, swimming, paddling, and more!There are also plenty of adventurous trails just minutes away from the cabin where you can hike or bike. The activities nearby are endless.The cottage is located in the middle of Port Perry (a 20-minute drive) and Lindsay (a 25-minute drive). The cottage is equipped with a couch, bed, tv, mini-fridge, coffee maker, electric cooktop, sink, and cooking utensils. Other amenities include potable water, a toilet, shower, picnic table, and wifi. Wow! We came in mid October to see the autumn colors. What a great experience! First off the hosts are amazing and very helpful. The lodge itself is very comfy, the bed is super clean and comfy as well. There's enough firewood for the whole stay (2 Nights). Oh and our dog loved it as well! The place is around 20 min drive away from any nature hike, and there are plenty in the area. Highly reccomend

The type of person you are and your expectations of what should be…determines how you accept your stay anywhere you go!!! I can ABSOLUTELY say that my stay with my son at Tara’s piece of heaven on earth…known to most as…land…was wayyyy more than what I hoped for!!! There was so much going on around us…and you know what…we didn’t even notice a thing going on…unless we wanted to notice something going on! Plain n Simple!!! We were on a FAMILY owned PARADISE…with amazing people all around…no matter which way you poke a stick at it! Peter…you’re a great man and just from our talks…I want you to know that I will forever be at your beck and call…WHEREVER and WHENEVER you need ANY sort of help! Will most definitely be returning and for at least a month buddy!!!

Weekend Trip to Ranger on Rice!

Had a great stay! Peaceful, rejuvenating simple days. Pros: + The RV is well furnished and comfortable. Sink, flush toilet, full fridge and even microwave! + Close to the lake, great if you have a boat. + Good fishing, little weedy but a good time. + Everything was clean. + Everyone was very friendly and accommodating! Cons: - The space is quite open and not very private if you're hoping for a "camping" feeling experience. - The trees are by the lake so there isn't any shade or shelter. I'd recommend bringing a canopy or beach tent. - The RV is older and not completely bug proof, our swatter got plenty of use. Overall quite pleased and highly recommend staying here. Consider the RV a significant upgrade to a tent, get out on the lake if you can, you'll have a great time!

We really enjoyed our stay, Peter was prompt at helping us when we needed it. This is a great place if you like peace and quiet. We enjoyed watching the sunset over the hill and the sunrise over the lake. Lots of geese and other birds to watch and listen to.

Wonderful houseboat retreat! This is a perfect spot for a peaceful getaway. The view is absolutely stunning --sitting by the water in the morning or evening is pure joy. 🌅✨ The houseboat itself is very clean, cozy, and thoughtfully arranged. It has everything you need: fridge, freezer, stove,light, dishes, and A/C. A frying pan and at least one blanket would be nice additions, but overall, the space is well-equipped. The outside area is just as lovely — quiet, private, and ideal for enjoying coffee or relaxing by the fire🥰 The sofa looks so nice, but unfortunately, it’s very uncomfortable for sleeping--even though we brought extra mattress Overall, this place has a special charm. Great views, privacy, and thoughtful touches --we will definitely come back again! 💛

Weekend Trip to Lakeport Valley Camp 🏕️

Meridian is a very welcoming host to her sweet campsite which was just as described. I felt safe there which is important for a single female traveler. She gave great guidance as to where I could go locally (within 5 min walk or drive) to enjoy views of the water and to the local beach where I enjoyed a gorgeous sunset. Yes the train rattled through during the night, so come prepared or let it lull you to sleep. Sweet town close by with pubs and a coffee shop and a pharmacy. Such a sweet way to start my journey.

Lovely place! Definitely worth the price. Beautiful views of the lake, fields, and farm. Fishing and swimming was so fun. The trailer and matress was very comfortable. They have fans in the trailer, but If you open the windows, there is a lovely cross breeze. There is a microwave for convenience and a fridge. They also provide a BBQ outside. I did bring my Coleman stove too. I could have easily stayed there for longer, wish I did! The owners were so friendly and accommodating. Everything was amazing!!! I would DEFINITELY go again!

Weekend Trip to Island Spirits

Had a great weekend with my friends. Sites were large, bathrooms were clean, and the showers were nicer than expected. Of course, the animals were great as well.
