We welcome any self contained travel trailer or RV's.
Enjoy use of horseshoe pits, open space for games (e.g. soccer, bocce, frisbee, badminton, etc.) and feel free to ask, we may have those 'toys' to loan you during your visit.

Fifthwind farm is located high on a hilltop in Northumberland county. Our farm is only 10 minutes north of Cobourg yet feels tranquil and remote. The view is spectacular…on a clear day New York State is visible.
Our Bunkie is fully insulated and cozy on cold winter nights. The Northumberland Forest is quite close and it offers many cross-country ski trails.
Because of the cold weather, our outdoor shower it’s not operable during the winter months. The Bunkie does not have running water, but water is provided, and the sink can still be used.
There is a large bonfire area on our farm, (a little bit away from the Bunkie) also a play area for kids including zip line, boat structure, sand box, swing, above ground pool and trampoline; gorgeous circular organic garden with seating area and a small orchard. Our land is very private and beautifully sheltered by trees all around the campsite. There is an open field as well that also has trees on the outskirts. A video is available upon request! Fenella is a small village about 7 min away that has a large convenience/ grocery/Beer store as well as gas stations and Canabis beyond belief ! Go carts, food trucks and the best Butter Tart Factory as well! Warkworth is a town east of us about 20 min and Cobourg is 20 min South of us. Many shopping experiences available. Primrose Donkey Sanctuary is down the road a few minutes which we highly suggest visiting. Look their hours up before planning a visit!
We have easy access up our road about 1 km to the Northumberland Trails where you can ride your horses, cycle, ride your ATVs,walk or jog.
We have goats and can provide goat walks on our own trails. Goat walks are about 30 minutes generally and $15 per walk.
Our own Free Range eggs are available for $7/doz as well as firewood for $10 per bundle
Dogs are welcome as long as they are constantly on a leash, as we have chickens that free range!
We ask that you bring your own water and hydro please.
We hosted 35-40 endurance horses and their riders in August of 2022!
We welcome tents and all trailers!

Be sure to visit the local area, we are within a 15 minute drive of several restaurants, grocery store and the LCBO. The Kirkfield Lift Lock, Fenelon Falls, Balsam Lake Provincial Park and Lindsay are all within a 30 minute drive. There are miles of paved country roads and bike paths to explore the area. Canal Lake is a lake of Ontario, Canada, situated in the City of Kawartha Lakes.
HISTORIC MONUMENTS
The "Hole in the Wall" bridge was built in 1905 and is also known as the Canal Lake Concrete Arch Bridge. It was designed by the federal Department of Railways and Canals. It is located on Centennial Park Road on the southwest side of the Trent Severn Waterway bridge, northeast of Bolsover. The bridge was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1988.
FISHING
Canal Lake is a medium size lake with a large diversity of fishing spots. There is a variety of fish available including largemouth bass, pike and muskellunge (muskie) and an abundance of panfish.

Henry & Johana are really nice people and are so welcoming, they offer coin laundry on site & have a pool, trampoline, zip line, lots of room to walk around, huge garden!! We love the area and our stay was amazing at their RV site! We definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a place near New Castle, about 30m drive but so worth it! We will deff come back next year and will be booking early!

We spent 3 nights at Willowjays and it was the perfect base camp for our trip! The site is incredibly secluded, giving us all the privacy and peace we were looking for. Despite feeling so private, it was very easy to access and get our gear in and out. The farm views are gorgeous, and Renee was a wonderful, accommodating host. Highly recommend this spot if you need a quiet, convenient home base to explore the area!

Beautiful property with a few different spots to setup. We were just there for Springtide Music Fest so we were basically there to sleep at the end of the long music days. Great proximity to downtown. A more extended stay with No outhouse/water access wouldn’t be ideal but for our quick trip it worked perfect. Bob was very responsive and his son was helpful during our arrival to make sure we had everything we needed. 10/10 would recommend

I've stayed at Tranquil Ten a few times now as it's close to work and I commute a long distance. The land is expansive, secluded and very pastoral. Surrounded by trees and nature, it rivals a provincial park experience. Bob and Trish are lovely and very thoughtful hosts. On my most recent stay, they left a fire box with wood for me to enjoy a warm fire on a cool evening. It was an awesome experience. I look forward to more stays at Tranquil Ten.

I had a lovely stay! Renee was kind (even though I mistook her for another camper!) and understanding, and the place was exactly what I was looking for for this visit: quiet and all to myself! The washrooms were clean and spacious, the crickets and birdsong and crackling fire were the only company I needed. I would absolutely return for another visit.
