I’m truly glad I discovered this place. My friends and I found so much more than we expected. The Mitziville team was incredibly welcoming and accommodating — thanks to them, I was able to organize a surprise birthday celebration for my husband and bring together our big group of friends.
We were absolutely thrilled with our spot: a spacious area with several fire pits, a provided toilet, and picnic tables. It felt private and peaceful since the nearby sites were set far apart. It’s one of those rare moments when you stumble upon a hidden gem. The nature was stunning, and the grounds were beautifully maintained.
We’ll definitely be back — our group has been looking for a place like this for a long time

Compared to most campground sites this is a nice private spot. The quiet river makes a beautiful view and I appreciated the free kayak available with the site. Check in was easy and friendly. There is a public area beside the site which meant there are occasionally people near by but it wasn’t a problem. At other times it was very quiet.

Lisa's property was amazing! Lots of room, beautiful view of everything. Saw deer every day! Loved the outhouse, we are used to privies at Algonquin but the outhouse was way better - especially with the rain we had. She was great with communication and even checked to make sure we were ok after a big gusty windy rainy period of time. We will definitely be back! Thanks so much Lisa.

This was one of our favourite Hipcamps. The lake was busier than we are used to but it was a long weekend so totally expected. We appreciated the private feel of the campsite being nestled in our little corner and we customized the site with tarp shelters and a hammock to lay about in the afternoons. The night sky was gorgeous with the moon and the sound of waves to keep us company. One should keep in mind that there are elevation changes at the site that could prove challenging for some. I was able to portage our canoe down to the water and back up to our vehicle but the pitch through the trees and down to the beach could prove tricky. Overall, we liked the secluded, civilized-rustic feel of the space: not Crown Land but sounds of the forest gave it a wild feel.

We loved camping at Mitziville'sland. It was our 2nd time this summer. The camp sites are big enough for 2,3 tents. Our kids love the beach and water activities. ( kayaks, paddle boats included) There is also nice trails for hiking.

Our stay at the Robyn's nest was very enjoyable! Ronald and Robyn are great, friendly hosts that have maintained a beautiful property. Easy directions. Flat site to camp on after a short steep hill access.
Deer, wild turkeys, loon & more
Right across the road from a beach where you can swim and a white water racecourse where you can watch people playing, and or racing in the rapids.
A clean washroom as well.
I short drive in to town makes it one of the best places I’ve camped.

Weekend Trip to Peaceful Off-Grid Cabin Retreat
Incredibly comfortable and secluded cabin. Has everything you could need without plumbing. (Toilet that doesn't smell and works great, outdoor shower is to die for, large jugs of water with nozzles like a sink faucet) Makes everything feel like your off grid but still have amenities. Still feels so off grid and was just such a peaceful stay.

My family and I loved camping at Mitziville by the Lake. We loved it so much that we went twice this summer because we enjoyed it so much. The beach is walking distance to the camp site and the water was very warm both times we went! The campground is very taken care of and the service for garbage pick up was great. The beach is also very clean, lots of seats and canopy's free to use and not to mention the canoe/kayaks are all free to use! Everyone is very courteous with these as well.
One down fall I will mention is that there are "no rules" here so if you are going with small children expect there to be noise. Both times we went there were large parties going on with very loud music until about 4 am. My kids were fine with it but some may not, so be cautious when booking. This is not a very private campground as the sites are cramped together and not very large but we have no issues with that. I would suggest if you are looking for a more private and quiet camping experience to look elsewhere or to check out their other sites that they offer which are look very private.
10/10 recommend, my family and I will be back next year and can't wait! We already know exactly which site we will be booking!!!
