The place was so amazing, they've provided blankets, pillows, bbq with lighting supplies, firewood, and heat inside the cabin was also provided! Back of their house, there is a sauna and a hot tub that they provide! It was one of the highlights of our weekend trip. They also provide a water to wash your utensils, and an outdoor shower with hot water!! They've got two big dogs on the property to keep other critters and wildlife away, as they also have chickens at the front of the property. Ed was very accommodating, and even provided us a towel for the sauna. It was the perfect getaway, and perfect break from the city air and noise

We loved our experience. The cabin is on the owners' property, but you can still have your privacy and feel secluded, and they are super kind. They have made the place very enjoyable with small additions that really enhance the experience, like outside lights, a hammock, a parasol, etc. Inside, it’s beautiful and comfortable, especially the bed! We loved having a hot shower so close to the cabin as well. Everything was clean. I highly recommend it! Perfect glamping experience!

Weekend Trip to Honey Hideaway

This was such a memorable camping experience. The host, an elderly gentleman, warmly greeted us and kindly explained everything when we arrived, which made us feel immediately comfortable. He even showed us the fresh eggs laid by his chickens — such a charming touch! There was plenty of firewood prepared, so we really enjoyed sitting by the fire. The cozy bedroom made our night warm and restful, and we loved being able to take a peaceful walk to the nearby lake. Most of all, the privacy of the site made it feel like a true retreat. We’d love to come back again for sure!

This has been my third trip to the simple cabin and every time it gets better! The atmosphere is amazing. I always have the best sleep of my life here- if you get the chance to book do so NOW! This place fills up fast for good reason. The cabin is so well decorated and has everything you need. The outhouse is cleaner than my bathroom at home (lol) and the sauna feels like paradise. The deer are tame and will wander right by as you enjoy a cozy fire outside. The distant hum of the traffic in the city below is only overshadowed by the gentle buzz of frogs and crickets all around. The vibes are unreal here. If you need a detox from a stressful life in the city this is the place for you. There is something magical here. I can’t wait to go back!

The vibe of the cabin was on point! It had all the amenities you need, heat, air , cook top, utilities plus a fridge. Never mind the serene atmosphere. Hand feed the local Deer, wild turkeys and how close you’re to town, but feel so secluded at the same time. 20/20. This is our second visit and we are already planning our next visit.

Stay here for a day or a week, this off-grid little resort has all the necessities that one would need, and make you want to come back again! We are excited to offer 3 off-grid log cabins, providing a highly private setting. 20 min to Parry Sound. These cabins are located within 75 acres of forest. Each cabin features either two single beds or one king-size bed. Cabins are insulated but have no heat so bring own pillows, blankets and sleeping bags. Accommodation is limited to two adults per cabin. Common areas for all cabins include: 1) Outdoor Kitchen (includes pots, pans, dishes, cups, utensils etc.), 2) Freezer/Fridge, 3) BBQ, 4) Indoor Shower (hot and cold water), 5) Outdoor Shower (hot and cold water) and 6) Toilet/Outhouse with running cold water. Peaceful Off-Grid Cabin Retreat

Cabin bookings are now OPEN for the 2025 season. Book your stay early to avoid disappointment. This special little rustic cabin is nestled amongst 100 unspoiled acres of mixed forest with various walking trails on the property. It's the perfect place to unplug, unwind and completely connect with nature to enjoy some quiet time. In this cozy glamping setting, you will be serenaded by birds of every kind and will often see deer drinking by the stream close by. This cabin is OFF GRID (limited solar power) but has a wood stove (bundles of firewood available for purchase), propane outdoor portable grill, and enough solar power for very small electronic appliances. Sleeps 3 adults comfortably (or 2 adults & 2 children however msg us if you have any questions). Indoor bathroom with compostable toilet indoors. Many attractions and conveniences only 10-15 mins away in Port Sydney, Bracebridge and Huntsville. Nearby is a the beautiful public Mary Lake beach and boat launch in Port Sydney. There is NO HUNTING permitted on the property. Please expect bugs, flies and mosquitoes. Deck is mostly enclosed to make star filled nights that much more enjoyable. There is also a sugar shack and garage on the property for viewing purposes only. There is an outdoor propane shower and a large cooler available for your convenience as well. Spirit Ridge Acres

We are a small hobby farm set within a mature forest setting. There are two, newly built tiny home bunkies that are situated in private areas of our property, yet close enough to our main house for security, Each bunkie has a modern outhouse with composting toilets and non potable water for washing Guests will have the opportunity to commune with nature as we have a multitude of bird species and there is always good possibilities of wildlife viewing, as guests stroll down the nature trails. There are plenty of very cool areas along the trail where guests are able to participate in forest bathing/meditation or can just relax and listen to the wind rustling through the leaves of the trees. We have a couple of very gentle horses on our farm, that if anyone wishes, can schedule a time meet them and do some therapy grooming. There is also a small flock of egg laying hens that are quite social. We have a small on site store, which has some beautiful wood crafts that are created in our woodworking shop. Live-edge wood tables/charcuterie boards and other beautiful pieces as well as a large display of gorgeous healing crystals and metaphysical items are available for purchase if that's your interest. We are less than a 10 minute drive to Bobcaygeon, where you can find the world famous Kawartha Dairy, scrumptious restaurants, specialty clothing boutiques, grocery stores and pharmacies. Sturgeon Lake is the predominate lake with fabulous fishing/boating/ swimming. A 20 minute drive will get you to Fenelon Falls, Buckhorn or Kinmount where you will find the famous Kinmount Movie Theater that have the latest movies available. The Canadian Rail Trail is also nearby for anyone that wants to do some biking/hiking.
