As the river mouth and basin with lots of uninhabited islands offers a lot of things to do we suggest you to combine water sports adventure with your stay. An ocean kayak will be provided if you stay for a week or longer. We offer sailing tours, kayaking and fishing. Although we understand the desire to see as many places as possible when on vacation, we highly recommend people to stay with us for several days. Let your mind come to rest and get a good sleep on real good spring mattresses. ! We would love to be the place where you come to rest. Chris was a great host! He greeted us at the campsite on a rainy November night and had made sure to have a roaring fire for us when we got there despite all the rain! The views from The Point in the morning were beautiful - perfect spot to enjoy coffee & breakfast in the sun. Chris came to check in on us in the morning to make sure we had everything we needed.

Two small gravel sites up a small driveway. Could have used some weeding and tending - a bit after peak season. Nicely appointed with some solar lights, chairs, and steel wheel fire pits. No sea view but GREAT star views, and a couple miles from a quiet and fantastic public park sand beach.

Dans hipcamp was a perfect spot to roll into after a long drive from VT. We stayed 3 nights n could easily have stayed longer but for the urge to explore other parts of the coast. It’s near the beach and services in Petpeswick and has trails to explore also. Dan is the best ever communicator I’ve experienced with any Hipcamp or AirBnB reservation! Would definitely stay again.

My husband and I had a fantastic time at the chalet. Our first night in NV at Porter's land was a thrilling adventure in nature, with the delightful chorus of birds. I even had a refreshing dip in the lake, and we were up before sunrise to witness the stunning sight of the sun rising over the misty lake. It was an exhilarating experience in Porter's land, and we're already counting down the days until our next visit!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Blueberry Run! The site was clean, organized, and offered full service (highly recommend the black box sewer add-on). We liked it so much we decided to stay an extra night. It’s a short walk to a wonderful coffee shop, and Halifax is only about 40 minutes away. On a rainy day we took a trip into the city, but the other days were peaceful and distraction-free — perfect for relaxing and being creative.

Weekend Trip to Ingomar Oceanfront Camping
The site was lovely, right next to the sea with a beautiful view. The tent has everything you need, to cook, a bbq outside and heat plate inside, the gaz is included and there's solar powered lamp in the tent above on the table to cook inside. We just used our own French press to make coffee in the morning but that's about it !
The bed is lovely, there is an extra mattress for a third person. The site very quiet and we slept like babies.
We had a very good night !

Weekend Trip to Aspy Acres
What a great, private little spot right located at the tip of Cape Breton! If you’re adverse to national and provincial park campground feels, this is the site for you! It was very much our kind of camping, a lovely, quiet, private spot alongside a babbling brook, with the sound of the waves crashing against the shoreline in the distance. 10/10 would recommend.

The point of the point is the view, as there is no cell service [though they do hope to remedy that issue], and no washrooms. That said Chris and his mother were wonderful and hospitable. The view is jaw dropping, and that alone is worth the stay. Also an amazing place to get away from everything.

I loved my time at the bell tent. The view from the bed facing the screen door is beautiful and listening to the sound of the waves on the shore lulls you to sleep.
There are enough amenities to be comfortable but it is rustic enough that you still have the simplicity of camping. A perfect combination for someone my age.
The host is friendly and very accommodating. Many lovely beaches and sites to see within close driving distance. I would love to go back sometime!
