Great location overlooking the bay.. we had electric and water utilities on site. Easy access to Lunenburg & a quiet, peaceful setting.

The location of this hipcamp is amazing. Ocean views, quiet neighborhood and easy 15 min drive into Lunenburg. The boho moho was comfortable and everything functions relatively well. Katie was super friendly and helpful too! Highly recommend!

Legends by the Sea
Katie was an excellent host and made sure that our enjoyable stay at Legends By The Sea was comfortable. The location was a great launching point for exploring the area. The camper itself was very clean, organized and the beds comfortable for three in our family.

Everything was as expected. Tent site was quite small, so if all the sites were booked it would have been too crowded for us....but since we were the only ones in the tenting section it was great.
Lovely road to bike along, a beautiful area to spend the night. Bugs were not great when the sun went down, but it was July, so no surprises.

What a nice hip camp spot. Lots of color and whimsy around the sites. Really appreciated the flush toilet, kitchen sink area and nice clean site. It was very relaxing and safe. Katie and Christine were responsive hosts. Beautiful area in Rose Bay.

The property was very run down, buildings were in disrepair, and there were a lot of broken items, other junk, and debris lying around the buildings. While the specific site itself had the basic amenities described (flat pad, power hookup), the overall neglect and disrepair of the entire property made it feel like you were camping in a junk yard. Other than the single tight shot of the specific site, the whole rest of the property looked nothing like the pictures. As well, the claim that the property has an ocean view is no longer true because a house has been built across the road which completely obstructs the view of the water. Overall, this Hipcamp property felt dodgy, derelict, and very uninviting. After driving through the property to find the site we’d booked, we immediately turned around and left.

The host is an amazing young woman. You can tell she enjoys having people stay at her beautiful property. Sweet Bo, the dog, is a great addition to the welcoming committee too! The bathroom/shower facilities were really great and appreciated.

Katie was such a gracious Host! I really appreciate her making the space for us to sleep in our "overland" vehicles near the tent sites. Her property was the perfect retreat after spending the evening exploring the town of Lunenburg. I especially appreciated the amenities (flush toilet, hot shower) etc. after a few days on the road. I'd certainly return again, thanks again for hosting us, Katie!

Great experience staying at Katie’s awesome campsite. It’s got all essential amenities like clean shower and washroom and even an outdoor kitchen with a large sink and a propane stove.
Some additional perks include dog washing station and an herb garden which Katie (the host) kindly offered me to use for my cooking if I desired.
The place is inviting, cheerful and has a great view of Lunenberg. It’s 30 min away from Lunenberg (a bit longer due to road closure as of August 2023), 6 min away from Ovens park with Sea Caves and around 10 min from Rose Bay General store with a good array of baked goods, groceries and a restaurant.

What a wonderful stay! The camper was comfy with everything I needed. Katie was so welcoming and made me feel right at home. Set in a beautiful stretch of the coast the scenery is stunning.

Katie’s land was very beautiful. We were on site 2 with our van and had a direct view of the ocean. It was very windy, Katie made sure we were okay and offered us to move to be more comfortable, which was very appreciated.

Our stay was great. We stayed in one of the RV spots which was Level. The view boasted picturesque views of the bay and a distant Lunenberg across the water. I short walk also revealed amazing nature and serene views. This was out first Hipcamp experience and we are now looking for more.

My friend and I had an amazing stay on Katie's land'!! It was a beautiful and quiet space that offered a surreal environment to camp. We used it as a stop over spot on the way down to Barrington. Communication with Katie was easy and informative before / during our stay. Sadly we didn't get a chance to meet her in person but we certainly felt at home. My favourite part as side from the beautiful sunset I got to view across the street was the OUTDOOR SHOWER! The water was nice and warm and it was so nice to shower in nature.
I highly recommend a stay at Katie's if you are passing through the area ! We felt safe, and relaxed.

We loved our stay on Katie’s land! Katie was helpful and friendly (as well as the other campers and dogs) and we felt very welcomed. We had nice trees around the camp site for some privacy as well as a power plug for our cooler. Katie was kind enough to show us the way to the waterfront just on the other side of the street so we could enjoy the view and the shooting stars at night. Katie and her family are working hard to offer a really nice experience at a cheap rate and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a rustic and convivial place to camp in Nova-Scotia.

Off the Beaten Trail Eco Lodging
Off the beaten trail was exactly the type of camp experience I was looking for. It was close enough to Lunenburg, Mahone Bay Bridgewater, Liverpool and beaches to do day trips from camp. And when I came back in the evenings, it was like a little nature paradise. After dinner I'd take my dog for a walk and sometimes Bo, the owner lab would join us. It was a joy to watch them swimming along the shoreline while taking in the breathtaking sunsets.
Devin and Katie have put their hearts into building this camp. Everything was perfect, from the little cottages, to the retro trailer, the outdoor showers and firepits all sitting on a well appointed acreage with a million dollar view of the ocean. They were excellent hosts. We engaged in meaningful conversations and I was lucky enough to hear their vision for their camp. When I asked if there was power to charge my camera and phone they brought an extension cord right to my trailer.
If you looking for a rustic location and enjoy the beauty of nature this place is for you!
